Last Sunday we did this song at my church. (Eastview Christian, Normal, IL. It was beautiful. I could feel the Holy Spirit moving through the whole auditorium. The truth in the words of this song, and the Spirit of God made for ah awesome worship time. Thank you to whomever let God work through their heart to write this song.
This is one of my most favorite songs and I didn't know the story behind it until now. God did something amazing in the New life Church. Glory be to Him.
God's love is overwhelming! This song is an encouragement to believers around the world who are going through tough times! We Bless him regardless of what is going on in our lives...He is still on the throne!
Thank You Ross and Jon and the rest of your awesome praise team. You have inspired us all to press forward into everything that God has for us. We are called and equipped to Honor God in praise and worship, and nothing will ever defeat us. If God be for us who can be against us. By the way Ross, I was the guy in the lobby at worship institute 2008. All my love to you and yours Toney
Wow! I had no idea about the story behind this song! So incredible! Thank You God that we are able to overcome, by the blood of the Lamb and word of our testimony!
This is truly inspirational; God will use what you guys have been through and bless others with your strength. He will show a new path and this song will touch millions and inspire them to continue through their struggles, with Jesus, they will overcome!
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." - romans 8:35-37
I LOVE THIS SONG!! A bit of a scriptural misquote- the "formula" for overcoming quoted out of Revelation 12 is "by the blood of the Lamb, by the word of their testimony, and because they did not ove their lives to the point of death"- the last one being left out but I think vital in our culture of self love (which I am having to work on myself- far from having achieved it). Still- GREAT SONG- LOVE IT!!!!!
Dear God who art in heaven hallow be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever in Jesus Christ's name we pray amen.
At the first place, we should never put our leaders to the pedestal. In equal with God..They are also susceptible to mistakes and they might fall, like anybody in the church. Let's continue to pray for them because the attack of the enemy is greater for them. Let's all be accountable to each other....
careful... a pastor falling into sin only shows that they are just as human as you and I. God can and does still use us in our weaknesses, if we have a heart of repentance. The bible proves it.
