my issue with being bi is that if i were to ever get married, i feel like i’d still want to include someone of the opposite gender (of my spouse) on occasion…

Brooo I love this episode and love cardi b..fun fact: when i was younger (like a kid) i use to have the biggest crush on raven 😂 my family thought i was obsessed and they would joke abt it all the time (i use to watch every episode of thats so raven and was watching cheetah girls PROUDLY)
But now at 22 : i only like boys for the most part 🌈😂 strange transition tbh

Cardi B is most definitely right. It is a trend. Set on hatred of the female body. The overwhelming majority of “non-binary” people are girls and women ashamed of their bodies. They speak with as much disdain for natural female occurrences as a “transman” would, as a “transwoman” would. The fact that anyone can be non-binary because they have short hair and baggy clothes, but only when they’re female is telling. It’s something to see people force they pronouns on a child so easily, trying to “hatch the egg” they believe they are. Anyway, I can’t wait until they realize they can still be girls and be non-feminine acting, or like girls. I say the same to transmen. I think everyone has regressed with sex/gender and have the need to put everyone in a box, when in actuality, there shouldn’t be a negative stigma with being in the skin you’re in and that you must radically change.

This is SOO crazy because I literally expressed what Cardi was saying more than 10 YEARS Ago on Twitter! I attended a performing arts school so there was a lot of "turmoil" with people trying to figure out "who they are" or "how they identify". I'm talking about way back in '08/'09. In response to a greater conversation/"Twitter war" I tweeted, "It must be a fad to be a fag". Of course, now I know how offensive the word is and I do not use that term at all anymore. However, at the age of 15-16 I was expressing my frustration like Cardi is saying here with people just doing things because others are doing it or just claiming to be something they're not because it was trendy. I'm SOO glad they're having this conversation because I had a very clear insight at a very young age. Btw I was black-balled for tweeting that and hadn't really used Twitter much since LOL

I came out as bisexual in 7th grade (31 now) but that was before I wanted to admit that I wasn’t attracted to males and also before I thoroughly understood how sex worked…😂 when I learned all of that, I was ready to admit that I’m lesbian 😂
Oh my lort I related to the, “which world are you trying to live in? I’m battled.” I do feel like a mix of both genders but lately I find myself trying to become more comfortable in the female skin that I’m in because it should be celebrated as much or MORE than my masculine side. 🤘

As an 100% bisexual female I can definitely say this conversation was needed. I hate that everyone nowadays is just identifying themselves as whatever tf just because that’s what’s in right now. Ppl are giving bisexuals a bad rep. because instead of being with a guy/girl because you’re genuinely attracted/ have a connection to that person, they’re doing it for sexual relations only or bc their current partner did them dirty so now they want to try experimenting with a new gender when really that’s not even what they’re attracted too. As much as I love you all, I don't completely agree with Cardi’s opinion that one would have to explain/justify their identity (e.g. trans/non-binary). I don't think anyone owes a person their backstory on why they feel they're trans/gender-nonconforming, nor have to justify why they feel that way. Also, I don't think being LGBTQ+ is a “trend.” Just because more people are coming out as queer/trans doesn't automatically make it trendy. What is true though is that more people in this generation are coming out because it's more socially acceptable to be LGBTQ+ and there are a lot more queer/trans resources now then ever! I hope this doesn't come off as me “calling you out,” instead I hope it makes you think more about the convo you had from a different pov. Thanks for the vid.
