Some people get angry when they can't control asian women and make up names to demean them, like calling them leftover women, tiger moms, or grumpy aunties. I wish Yerin all the best and hope shes able to navigate the challenges she will encounter with Bridgerton and all the incoming noise that will come her way.

The problem is I think N and L have chemistry on a different spectrum and I think they have a lot of love for each other. It’s rare to find that in someone you just met and maybe having to be intimate on the show is challenging. I’m wondering if they are intimidated by seeing how N and L are with each other on set! I'm sure it was a hard adjustment for her (Y) to come into an established series. Luke T. seems to be laid back & confident about S4. I hope she will too. I'm sure they both will do well. I hope people won't constantly compare them to Polin or Lukola. Some of the Fandom can be unnecessarily harsh. 🤦♀️ I know alot of us have cut down our time focused on Lukola. I assumed the contract issue / commitment was a worldwide press tour similar to what Nic and Luke did. That is a huge endeavor and the reason it worked so well for them was because they’re obviously so close and their relationship is on another plane. It is a lot of promo and travel to ask of a typical pair of co-stars when they want to engage in other projects once filming is done. Yerin “likes” Nic’s stuff on social media very quickly so maybe Nic has stepped up to support her in adjusting to the show and that kind of spotlight. Perhaps this is why Yerin is starting to feel a bit better? Also the lack of input is interesting considering how much Nic and Luke spoke of being heard by the showrunner Jess as far as how scenes of theirs would play out (I.e. songs they chose for scenes, inspiration for love scenes, what book lines need to be in etc)
I wonder if "it: has more to do with the publicity tour? That seems like a long term, rime consuming, kind of chaotic responsibility. Maybe, she feels it will interfere with other projects she wants to do?

Interesting reading, thanks Ana. I felt their chemistry was off when I watched a trailer a few weeks ago. There must be alot of pressure as you say. Coming into a very close community as a new lead, needing to assert yourself in following a massive previous season ( Polin must be a hard act to follow) , that must be hard. My interpretation as you started going into it is I wonder if she isn’t happy with the storyline. I imagine she went into it knowing what the book franchise was , but I read somewhere that the show runner wants to explore B storyline further regarding his sexual exploration from S3. So I am wondering if her role is not what she thought it would be ( the fine print in the contract you brought up) . Then when you said she could be trying to get out of the contract I thought mmmm yep I don’t think the story is what she thought it was. But also think the pressure on her due to the Polin phenomenon could be overwhelming. Of the one or two quick things I have seen of her I think she is also quite intellectual so I’m wondering if the romance genre does feel below her. I hope not. Because intelligent people can enjoy romance too. BTW I love a good nap . But like you I don’t do it often anymore.
