What a grand trek this is. Beautiful and varied landscape, a well-planned and cared-for park infrastructure, and a real-world test of the latest in must-have gear, the Buxton water bottle.
They have done a really great job getting the balance right between keeping it feeling wild and keeping it protected. The huts are fantastic and this one in particular is in such a special location. Thanks for watching
Another awesome vid Deano, This section looked amazing, loved the history from the old Pelion hut, and the New Pelion Hut was spot on, glad ya bagsied a good bedroom : ) And reppin the Buxton massive! Nuff respek : ) Looking forward to the next one Deano, an amazing trip so far dude, Jay
The whole broad walk path i find quite fascinating and the rain forest brilliant i think i.d have to hammock camp there ..Looks like the wallabies are semi tame ..spectacular views Dean you pack alot into these short vids .top stuff mate ..atb ..steve
+Frogmoon wildcamps and wanders The National Parks service over there have done a great job building and maintaining the track. Only a limited amount of people are allowed to set off on the walk each day so it's not too busy, they have created a stunning route but not taken away from the wilderness experience with the building of it. The board walk path is only around 10% max I'd say as the rest is gravel, rock, tree roots and mud. Thanks for continuing to watch this series Steve, really appreciate it. ATB
I did the Overland Track back in '07. It was one of my first backpacking trips. This brings back a lot of fine memories.
I get much more of a sense of adventure when the scenery is always changing like that! Dominic
