I think it's too easy to get super frustrated with how many people are so bad at driving and I totally get it but you gotta try to clear your brain and just focus on riding
I can say that as someone who rides and lives in philadelphia that it is so bad to ride now. The police didn't mind before the incident but now anything that you have wrong with your motorcycle you will get every ticket thrown at you. No turn signals? Improper turn signals, no mirrors, license plate tilted at a slight angle, basically anything.
I live in Chesco and the cops out this way will go out of their way to follow bikers until they have reason to stop the rider or become bored. It has been that way since last Spring. I ride alone, ride a sport touring bike, and get followed quite a bit by the cops in West Chester and West Goshen.
I stopped riding with groups for a couple reasons but the biggest one is straight ignorance. So many of these “riders” don’t have common decency and respect for other people, especially pedestrians that are “in their way”. If you try to say something to them, they take it as a personal attack. It sucks being more grown as a 25 year old than majority of people in their 30s but that comes with the stunt scene. I’ll be off riding trails ✌️💟
I mean look at the videos that get uploaded too, 90% of them are the bikes causing their own issues and getting mad at their own decisions or literally posting a video of nothing happening and making up scenarios in their head. Idk what happened to the scene but it seems drama is becoming the goal vs actual enjoyment of riding

This individual cody, is one hell of a man child. Not only was he carrying his gun like an idiot considering it fell out. He pointed it at someone he wasn't willing to shoot. Clearly because he didn't. I'm glad he didn't, but that ends in nothing but trouble no matter what. That's how you get shot yourself or end up in legal trouble like he luckily did. The sad part is, he could have chose to NOT interact and go about his day and avoid that lady completely, as with anyone in any road rage situation almost. People like this not only make the bike community look bad, but they make them look weak too. As a biker you have to always give up on road rage and find another way out. Bikes are about finding peace and freedom in the feeling it gives to ride. At the end of the day as a rider, you do have to be tough, but that's on your last limb, which cody was definitely not. He went out of his way to make the matter worse, just to show that he was practically putting up an aggressive front of a temper tantrum, that would result in no harm being done (on purpose at least). I can see him thinking "Maybe if I break this back window it will make me look tougher and more badass than this woman and it will scare her", followed by an "oh, she got out of her car, it's not working", followed by "oh my gun fell out, well maybe if I just point that at her then I will look tough and she'll be scared and leave me alone". Infront of the whole pack. Which makes him look like a giant pus**. He's lucky he didn't do that to someone who also had a gun. If he knew that there was any kind of chance of him being hurt he wouldn't do anything like that, because he's a giant pus** who wishes he were actually tough deep down inside. I'm not that tough, I never pretend to be anymore, that's how you get your ass beat, shot or tossed in a jail cell. Grow the fuck up if you're going to be out with the big boys on the streets. Don't act like a little kid, especially when you have a gun on you and are doing things on bikes that already look immature to the general public.
Brian is an extremely respectable member of the community and partly why I think he is able to amass the following he has. I have watched through his videos many times that he carries more than one tool, and the go to one he reaches for first is his brain. Avoiding situations by being aware is the best way to continue living a happy life, and there is nothing wrong with putting your pride aside to assure you walk away and can continue doing what you do. Much respect to you Brian and thank you for your service in light of Veterans Day recently.
I really don’t like stunt rides because road rage, crashes, bad look for the riders not participating in that stuff. But I like you Brain for being a voice of reason and encouraging people to be smart and level headed. Great video.
Thanks for saying this Brian. We have the same thing happening in our local scene with the dirtbikers that want to cause trouble vs. the stunters that want to stay lowkey. One bad rideout and it ruins things for everybody.
For real, the general public is getting tired of this lawless 'guns down (but not really), bikes up' culture of taking over the streets and running reds, blocking intersections, taunting motorists, riding on sidewalks, running pedestrians off greenways, etc.
I love that he brought this up. We all have to take accountability for our actions we are not thugs or criminals. We just want to ride on one wheel with our friends and we should not tolerate this type of behavior in our community and put it in check if we see it.
As a rider in a big city I completely agree with the police. If you’re on the streets follow the laws for Everyone’s safety. That scumbag that pulled a gun on a family should be locked up 10+yrs. If you ride in a large group, don’t think you own the road

You wouldn't even have to be doing anything, just grouping up and chilling and they could impound your car. It's how the saying goes; "one bad apple spoils the bunch".

I own a motorcycle shop in California and the general “VIBE “ from drivers on the street has become very aggressive. While most riders are trying to just make it through town without getting ran over at a red light or smashed into by unobservant motorists some way. I have a dual sport (street legal dirt bike) and I get people that are obviously upset with me because they assume that I’m on a non-street legal bike. I agree, when the NY street fight went down people were more aggressive about me commuting thru them. Also a wild rider without a plate that passed me a few times was brought down, they stopped the highway. He went backwards in the breakdown lane, he snuck inbetween tracktor trailers in a rest stop and tried to hide but he was spotted by a trucker and police called to the spot.
Been saying this for years in Milwaukee man. Our riding scene used to be chill af, until we got a new younger group of riders who like to taunt police and think they own the road. I said things multiple times to multiple people but was the only person speaking up in the group... so I looked like party pooper, when in fact I was doing the exact opposite... I was just trying to keep the party alive.
I am from Philly Born and Raised for over 44 years and I NEVER ONCE tried to ride in that city!!! It is the wild west and TOTALLY unsafe for any rider to be in the city limits. I did not start riding till I moved to Florida and it is a night and day bike life scene down here! year round riding surrounded by good people. Philly is doomed to ONLY go downward the way of detroit
I'm in northern California near Sacramento and the riding scene here is pretty awesome. We roll in huge packs but still try to be respectful to cars and always try to calm situations down instead of escalate them.
99 out of 100 Motorcycles in Chicago that I've seen on the road, don't stop at stop signs, cut people off, lane split, intersection take overs, burning rubber in private businesses parking lots, speeding, revving loudly for no reason, using the bike lane, turn late, or super slowly, and then taunt car drivers for going around them when they are cruising slowly on their bikes. I wonder why people wouldn't like them...
99 out of 100 cars in the DMV area that I've seen on the road cut people off, drive in the opposing lane of traffic, block intersections, speeding, revving loudly for no reason, drive in the bus lane, turn late, or super slowly. Oh wait... we're supposed to be talking about motorcycles.

A few of us MSF coaches tell our new students "The Law of Lugnuts". The one with the most lugnuts wins, regardless of fault. It's better to just move on and live to ride another day. I ride and live in Philly. I also happen to work at PennDOT and there’s a difference between cracking down on all motorcycles and just cracking down on the illegal unregistered and uninsured bikes they have completely shutting down the highway to do stunts and have multiple accidents where the people just run because of no plate and traffic being shut down. I’m all for seizing unregistered bikes and protecting others and even myself from uninsured dumb motorists/bikers from possibly hurting me or anyone
I have been riding for under a year and used to be very active in the Vegas riding scene. I say this AS A RIDER. I love riding and group rides its a huge part of my life. But I keep seeing stuff like what you showed in the video. Bikers start problems, escelate, the car apologizes and is afriad, and the bikers harass them or break their mirrors/windows. I have witnessed it a few times now and they turn around and lie and say the car did things they didnt do. Its very sad and makes us ALL look very bad.
Yeah I’ve heard shitty things about big groups like Vegas elite riders, but also good things. I guess just bad apples everywhere. I stick to riding with my small group
Jacksonville FL had a no pursuit of bikes until grom day 2023. They surrounded the Mayors vehicle in downtown with the pack and kept them there doin stunts. Now FHP has 2 choppers to go with Jaxs 1 chopper up here in Jax. The Navy shoots radar on the main loop of the city and they'll chase you, just with lights off now. The few really ruin it for the majority. S and W side Jax and beaches are still chill but the city and N side are wild.
Last person i want to be right now is that dude. You just made the whole city hot and people loosing bikes left and right and you locked up with no pistol . Bet he scrubbing boxers this very minute

That one guy put the entire pack in jeopardy trying to be a tough guy in front of everyone! God knows what I would of done if I was the passenger and watched a pew pew being pointed at my wife's head, I'm sending all 18 down the pipe and drive through anything in my way to get my family out of the area. This entire situation could've easily gone WAY WORSE than it did and I'm honestly glad it didn't! Bro - you're spot on here. Road raging riders is a BAAAD look for everyone on a bike. That includes breaking mirrors and all the other bad behavior I've seen from riders. I've been cut off, had people change lanes with no signals... all kinds of stuff and I just get away from them as quick as possible.
On behalf of most of the riders in the bay weather it’s straight up, street division or wcc I have never seen anyone here in the bay for cray like that. We usually just let them through 🙏

The problem here isnt one bad apple... That video made it look like the entire biker community casually rode by and watched this dude smash her car, pull a gun, and physically assault her. The only ones that stopped, we're tauning the situation, only making it worse by yelling, doing donuts, etc.. And the ones that didnt stop were turning into her lane, making it impossible for her, or the car infront of her to flee the situation.
True words bro. I used to live in New haven and the bike/ATV groups running through the city on weekends being ridiculously aggressive was one of the biggest reasons I moved. I'm into the car scene and absolutely do not have any issue with exciting driving or riding (personally a big fan of wheres981 and co), but these guys get into a mob mindset and start doing absurdly aggressive BS. The guy in Range Rover in NY a few years ago that ran over a bunch of bikers, he was charged with nothing and something like 11 bikers were arrested. And that's in NYC. Group punishment is great tool for the right situation; I learned that in the Marine Corps as well. It's especially effective at breaking that mob mentality and forcing people to remember they are individuals that can be held individually accountable.

I mean as long as you're experienced enough and not doing it in heavily congested areas I think those people are probably just Karens. At the end of the day you are in more danger while stunting than anyone around you in a car so I'd say you're not ruining anything.
There is zero reason to stunt on public roads that have any amount of traffic on them. The people are correct in that you are drawing unwanted attention to riders.
More than half of these bikers that ride around aren’t even LEGAL. So they have no right to be in ANY lane of traffic at ANY time ANY day. They have no right of way when they don’t even have proper registration.
Literally what you said 13:00 couldn't be more true, I was involved in a hit and run accident and was still blamed for the accident.. that being said this is probably going to become a more common issue especially if the stunt scene keeps growing at the rate it is.. more riders and less organization among the new riders will always lead to chaotic stuff like this happening..

As a philly motovlogger, this definitely was a bad look for everyone. City was hot for a bit but cooled off after a couple weeks. Luckily it's not as bad now as the media portrayed it. Tbh they're back to pretty much doing nothing about it now
I remember during Lollapalooza, a few riders were going through downtown and a stunt bike locked his brakes and slid into the back of a car, hard crash sound but I’m sure it was her bumper and his frame sliders ( same as the one in the video ). Lady gets out, pissed, wants to confront but the guy takes offx and the others follow. Walk light switches and people start blocking their path, but the same group of bikers trying to get away from the crash are pushing through tons of people. Just thought it was a bad look for motorcyclists, and makes me surprised how Chicago police haven’t done the same as Philadelphia. I read someone else’s comment that the slightest inconvenience and they can get stopped down there ( license plate tilted, no mirrors… ), but I’ve been riding without a visible license plate light ( just no light ) and nothing
11:51 this upsets me because a lot of those mopeds arent just owned by bikelife folks (or criminals who do crime with them) but a whole lot of them are also owned by delivery men who are just trying to make a living. so upsetting
Completely agree with you! Spot on about correcting your peers. As a Staff now (a gloried junior marine) trying to correct Gunny’s or E8’s isn’t hard, however owning up to that correction is what I’ve seen to be the challenge. I’ve been blasted multiple times for correcting gunny’s, because I’m a SSgt “it’s unprofessional”
A good friend that I still ride with ,was doing those stunts in 1976 on a T's 185 Suzuki. Even though we are in our mid 60s we still chuck heaps of wheelys❤😂
Love the content as always Brian. I just want to throw out one thing I've noticed with your background music. There is times you're talking to people and the music kind of drowns out the conversation you're having-- pulling away from the scene as a viewer. While it's easy to slap a track on at a quiet volume there is times it'd be nice if you'd turn it down more or fade it out completely.
I was in Philly they had 300 bikes going through Philly the cops did nothing. I was told someone got pulled over on a quad and he had a gun so some how he sued the city and got over 1 million dollars so the cops won’t touch them.
In buffalo ny. They have installed speed humps everywhere. I dont see to many bike out here till a big ride. Cops in Buffalo and some what laid back as long as your not going out of your way to break the law they leave you alone. Kinda sad it has become that way in Philly. Would be nice if places would invest money into areas with a sign off waiver of liability to let people practice and ride in peace.
We have had some a holes ruin the bike life scene for but on bicycle. They jump who ever speaks out against them and now the attendance is down like 75%.

Been saying this for years in Milwaukee man. Our riding scene used to be chill af, until we got a new younger group of riders who like to taunt police and think they own the road. I said things multiple times to multiple people but was the only person speaking up in the group... so I looked like party pooper, when in fact I was doing the exact opposite... I was just trying to keep the party alive.

I am from Philly Born and Raised for over 44 years and I NEVER ONCE tried to ride in that city!!! It is the wild west and TOTALLY unsafe for any rider to be in the city limits. I did not start riding till I moved to Florida and it is a night and day bike life scene down here! year round riding surrounded by good people. Philly is doomed to ONLY go downward the way of detroit
I'm in northern California near Sacramento and the riding scene here is pretty awesome. We roll in huge packs but still try to be respectful to cars and always try to calm situations down instead of escalate them.
99 out of 100 Motorcycles in Chicago that I've seen on the road, don't stop at stop signs, cut people off, lane split, intersection take overs, burning rubber in private businesses parking lots, speeding, revving loudly for no reason, using the bike lane, turn late, or super slowly, and then taunt car drivers for going around them when they are cruising slowly on their bikes. I wonder why people wouldn't like them...

I ride and live in Philly. I also happen to work at PennDOT and there’s a difference between cracking down on all motorcycles and just cracking down on the illegal unregistered and uninsured bikes they have completely shutting down the highway to do stunts and have multiple accidents where the people just run because of no plate and traffic being shut down. I’m all for seizing unregistered bikes and protecting others and even myself from uninsured dumb motorists/bikers from possibly hurting me or anyone

I have been riding for under a year and used to be very active in the Vegas riding scene.
I say this AS A RIDER. I love riding and group rides its a huge part of my life. But I keep seeing stuff like what you showed in the video. Bikers start problems, escelate, the car apologizes and is afriad, and the bikers harass them or break their mirrors/windows.
I have witnessed it a few times now and they turn around and lie and say the car did things they didnt do. Its very sad and makes us ALL look very bad.

Jacksonville FL had a no pursuit of bikes until grom day 2023. They surrounded the Mayors vehicle in downtown with the pack and kept them there doin stunts. Now FHP has 2 choppers to go with Jaxs 1 chopper up here in Jax. The Navy shoots radar on the main loop of the city and they'll chase you, just with lights off now.
The few really ruin it for the majority. S and W side Jax and beaches are still chill but the city and N side are wild.

That one guy put the entire pack in jeopardy trying to be a tough guy in front of everyone! God knows what I would of done if I was the passenger and watched a pew pew being pointed at my wife's head, I'm sending all 18 down the pipe and drive through anything in my way to get my family out of the area. This entire situation could've easily gone WAY WORSE than it did and I'm honestly glad it didn't! You are definitely correct about holding each other accountable and making sure people that come to ride in your RIDE OUT know how you expect them to act.

Bro - you're spot on here. Road raging riders is a BAAAD look for everyone on a bike. That includes breaking mirrors and all the other bad behavior I've seen from riders. I've been cut off, had people change lanes with no signals... all kinds of stuff and I just get away from them as quick as possible.
Group riding is cool, except when shutting down roads, road rage, etc.

The problem here isnt one bad apple... That video made it look like the entire biker community casually rode by and watched this dude smash her car, pull a gun, and physically assault her. The only ones that stopped, we're tauning the situation, only making it worse by yelling, doing donuts, etc.. And the ones that didnt stop were turning into her lane, making it impossible for her, or the car infront of her to flee the situation.
That's why I don't do group rides. I'm skeptical about riding for a cause too

True words bro. I used to live in New haven and the bike/ATV groups running through the city on weekends being ridiculously aggressive was one of the biggest reasons I moved. I'm into the car scene and absolutely do not have any issue with exciting driving or riding (personally a big fan of wheres981 and co), but these guys get into a mob mindset and start doing absurdly aggressive BS. The guy in Range Rover in NY a few years ago that ran over a bunch of bikers, he was charged with nothing and something like 11 bikers were arrested. And that's in NYC.
Group punishment is great tool for the right situation; I learned that in the Marine Corps as well. It's especially effective at breaking that mob mentality and forcing people to remember they are individuals that can be held individually accountable.

I mean as long as you're experienced enough and not doing it in heavily congested areas I think those people are probably just Karens. At the end of the day you are in more danger while stunting than anyone around you in a car so I'd say you're not ruining anything.
There is zero reason to stunt on public roads that have any amount of traffic on them. The people are correct in that you are drawing unwanted attention to riders.

More than half of these bikers that ride around aren’t even LEGAL. So they have no right to be in ANY lane of traffic at ANY time ANY day. They have no right of way when they don’t even have proper registration.
This is how I feel about illegal immigrants. No right to be on the road, in the grocery store, in the gym, or...anywhere in America.
Literally what you said 13:00 couldn't be more true, I was involved in a hit and run accident and was still blamed for the accident.. that being said this is probably going to become a more common issue especially if the stunt scene keeps growing at the rate it is.. more riders and less organization among the new riders will always lead to chaotic stuff like this happening..

As a philly motovlogger, this definitely was a bad look for everyone. City was hot for a bit but cooled off after a couple weeks. Luckily it's not as bad now as the media portrayed it. Tbh they're back to pretty much doing nothing about it now

I remember during Lollapalooza, a few riders were going through downtown and a stunt bike locked his brakes and slid into the back of a car, hard crash sound but I’m sure it was her bumper and his frame sliders ( same as the one in the video ).
Lady gets out, pissed, wants to confront but the guy takes offx and the others follow. Walk light switches and people start blocking their path, but the same group of bikers trying to get away from the crash are pushing through tons of people. Just thought it was a bad look for motorcyclists, and makes me surprised how Chicago police haven’t done the same as Philadelphia.
I read someone else’s comment that the slightest inconvenience and they can get stopped down there ( license plate tilted, no mirrors… ), but I’ve been riding without a visible license plate light ( just no light ) and nothing
11:51 this upsets me because a lot of those mopeds arent just owned by bikelife folks (or criminals who do crime with them) but a whole lot of them are also owned by delivery men who are just trying to make a living. so upsetting

As a Staff now (a gloried junior marine) trying to correct Gunny’s or E8’s isn’t hard, however owning up to that correction is what I’ve seen to be the challenge. I’ve been blasted multiple times for correcting gunny’s, because I’m a SSgt “it’s unprofessional”

A good friend that I still ride with ,was doing those stunts in 1976 on a T's 185 Suzuki. Even though we are in our mid 60s we still chuck heaps of wheelys❤😂

I just want to throw out one thing I've noticed with your background music. There is times you're talking to people and the music kind of drowns out the conversation you're having-- pulling away from the scene as a viewer.
While it's easy to slap a track on at a quiet volume there is times it'd be nice if you'd turn it down more or fade it out completely.
I was in Philly they had 300 bikes going through Philly the cops did nothing. I was told someone got pulled over on a quad and he had a gun so some how he sued the city and got over 1 million dollars so the cops won’t touch them.
In buffalo ny. They have installed speed humps everywhere. I dont see to many bike out here till a big ride. Cops in Buffalo and some what laid back as long as your not going out of your way to break the law they leave you alone. Kinda sad it has become that way in Philly. Would be nice if places would invest money into areas with a sign off waiver of liability to let people practice and ride in peace.
We have had some a holes ruin the bike life scene for but on bicycle. They jump who ever speaks out against them and now the attendance is down like 75%.
