I'm so upset, I miss Alex so much. In my opinion the series without him makes no sense. I'm worried about where the writers are going for this character. The best story is between Michael and Alex, I'm not happy with Tyler Blackburn's time out of Roswell.
It could have been handled better. Scenes with him in captivity could have been re-shot when he is back. He doesn't have to do any stunts, he could have been sitting or lying down, depending on what would be comfortable for his back. You could have been creative there. They could have planted the thought that he was lost after only 2 episodes even if they don't find him, everything else would be... is... out of character. For basically all characters, not just Alex. It's sad that Malex has to carry the burden of the series almost alone. But there is no Malex without Alex. The writers should have known/feared that long ago. There are so many points where I think it should have been done differently and many see it that way. The question is where was the problem? Wasn't it possible or didn't they want to see the problems? Budget? After the first 1-2 episodes I was hoping it would add more sci-fi elements like these alienated bugs, strange weather ect. and it would attract more people, more chance of another network taking on Roswell. Early in the series, it seemed like they weren't that dependent on Tyler Blackburn's popularity. There were good characters with good actors with whom you could really do something if you knew how. And then I think if he hadn't needed/wanted the role of Alex so much back then and someone else would play him, maybe there wouldn't even have been a third season. Tyler and Michael together was an absolute piece of luck and pretty much the best thing that's happened. But now he seems to be carrying the whole load on his back. Almost symbolic that he injured his back. It hurts that Guerin literally stands there blindly and whines again that he wants to go home to another planet, where he just said Alex was his home. I don't know where Oasis is, but my limited knowledge of space (and it clashes violently with the construct here, but I'm going for it) tells me that there is no habitable planet within a few years of our reach. Even with the few Superfruit fuel things. So worst case scenario, he never sees Alex again. Don't know if it's worth it to see or to be where you come from, where you have nothing, not even memories or family, when you know where you belong - where your family is, your heart, your soul, your love, your real home. It's time they got Alex out. He needs to f**k Michael's brain straight...
according to imdb and rnm wiki it looks like we could see alex next week? or have they been promising we'd see him during the prior weeks as well and just later updated after airing when the episode didnt have him on?
