Hello everyone, welcome to Educate Cube. Today, we will talk about the Unique Constraint and what it is. The Unique Constraint ensures that the value in a specified column or set of columns is unique across all rows in the table. This means that, just like a Primary Key, all values in a particular column must be unique. This is what we call a Unique Constraint.
Now, let's look at the difference between a Primary Key and a Unique Constraint. A Primary Key does not allow any null values, whereas a Unique Constraint allows null values to be present. This is the main difference between a Unique and a Primary Constraint.
To define a Unique Constraint, when you create a table, you give the table a name, then specify the column name, its data type, and then you write the constraint as unique.
That's it for today's video. Thank you for watching Educate Cube. Please like, share, and subscribe to our channel.
