Long post ahead: I have many thoughts to pass on, but I am unsure how much RUclips would allow me to write. First, I do not believe Oyinda shoot her shot, I think she liked what she saw, engaged in it, showed availability, and backed her interest with actions. I believe “shooting shots” means to pursue someone you are interested in and profess to it. For example, “I like you, I want us to be more than a friend, I love you, I want to have a relationship with you, I want us to get married or anything along that line” but if there is no form of commitment, I believe it is more of showing interest and availability/positioning. So, a woman can show availability/ position, but she should be patient enough to let the man pursue, define and commit to the relationship. That way, He can fully enter the position God has called him into and be a gardener of such a field. Because what a man does in essence is cultivation and presentation of that field to Jesus, because the man would give an account of that household. Having said that, I want to disagree with Oyinda about believing that a woman can “shoot her shot”, I do not believe God wants women to “shoot their shots” when it comes to marriage, the Husband is the Head for a reason and there are characteristics He has put in them that is why men have that instinct of “chasing” or “hunting” or "pursue" 1 Cor 11:9 says “ …..and man was not made for the woman, but the woman was made for man.” There are things a man is looking for in a woman, let him patiently and confidently search and find them. Gen 2: 22-25 - So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man’s ribs[a] and closed up the opening. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man. “At last!” the man exclaimed. “This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man.’ This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one. Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” Therefore, a man is created to search for his wife, and when he finds her he knows, it is also good for women to be patient to be found, you can position but let him pick you do not pick him, I repeat, do not pick him, abort mission! 😂 I also want to employ women to be patient with men even when God has told them (even in an audible voice) that someone is their husband. Let that same God reveal to him, it even helps you to be sure it is God talking because there is no way God can speak to one and not speak to the other, and do not try to influence it or boycott the process. Let it take the due process because men need to be sure when it comes to destiny-changing decisions, they do not like to be rushed and if you start to rush them, they might pull back more. Men usually handle things slowly and steadily but when they are sure no Jupiter can move them. My own story is strange; the first time my husband called me, I heard it loud and clear “He is your husband” I just started laughing. Disclaimer: This was what I asked God 10 years prior I met my husband. I told Him I wanted to hear an audible voice (How I got to ask God for an audible voice is a long story) I waited for 10 years for my husband, and in the 10th year God told me it was time, I knew 1 month before that call that I was getting married in the new year, it was the end of that year. I heard the voice crystal clear because I laughed so hard and tried to forget about it but it was so impressed in my spirit and weeks after I had many other confirmations, but I did not tell him anything. We started talking last week in December, he asked me to be his wife in March we got married in December. Throughout the 10 years, God had told me many things about my husband so when I started seeing them it was just a confirmation. After he asked me to be his wife, I then told him everything and showed him my journal of many years too, he was dumbfounded and he said the fact that I did not even mention anything along that line to try to influence it, that his respect for me went to another level and that crowned all his convictions, and there and then he was like " take me to your father, I need to wife you straight away. " Those 2months plus looked like the longest months, imagine someone you knew was your husband on the first call, he took that long 2months, but that patience took our relationship to another level, he just had to wife me😎 It has been 4 amazing years now (he annoys me sometimes o) but I would not have it another way, because he was hewed perfectly for me🤩 The moral of this long post is that do not shoot your shot, rather, position yourself (you can also ask for the purpose of the whole situation if you see he is taking you to where you do not know😯) pray, never compromise your value and standard and let him decide what he wants. I have never written a post this long on anyone's page, I just felt led to do this today, hoping that it would help someone. Much love to you guys 🥰

As a Counsellor I speak. I believe strongly that you guys actually handled this maturely, playing the relationship the way one should. As a man, it's necessary to talk to more than one person at the initial stage till you finally gets to date one person. I think that's fine. Everyone should do that. It's not a bad idea as she's in the one making the moves but the beauty and safety there is that she did it to the right person. Many ladies have done that and fallen into the hands of deceivers. This was really interesting to see. I can relate strongly to what PT is saying in terms of ladies making themselves available, but not overdoing it. I served as the Prayer secretary, then President of my campus fellowship whilst in school. For context, we are talking about a congregation of about a thousand people(mostly ladies). I was used to ladies throwing themselves at me, and so when I started talking to my current partner, one of the major things that I really liked was that I had to really push to get her. She held her standards and did not come off as too available. For someone with my background it was really nice. If she was too available, I would have been worried that perhaps she was just one of the other ladies who were attracted to the reputation and all. Great video ! 😊

Thank you for the observation. If you watch till the end, you’ll notice that we said there was a huge portion we recorded that got lost and it was 11pm, we were too tired to go over it again. And we have both shared this in other multiple posts on our social media accounts. The conviction of the spirit is literally the primary determining factor for all we do and even though it might not be dramatic like many people in terms of seeing a vision or hearing voices, it’s as simple as inner peace and deep conviction, as well seeing Godly virtues and qualities the Bible asked us to look for in a partner.
