One that helped me a lot: when assigning chops to pads, you can use the scroll wheel to set the starting pad for the bank you are in. If you are about to assign pads in Bank B, you turn it to the right it will start at B2, B3, B4, but when you turn it left it will start at B15, B14, B13. Then press Mark to assign the pads in order from that starting pad.
I just got a mk2 to use as an Fx processor and portable sampler, but was a little overwhelmed with the amount of features in such a small package! Your tutorials have been so helpful in helping me be able to utilize the 404!! Thank you so much!!!
I don't have a SP404 MK2 yet but I've been watching a lot of videos on how to operate it and your videos specifically stand out. Your clear explanations help so much. Thanks for all you do, man
Really useful, thanks a lot! But as resample-based beatmaker I miss so much the red peak light (like in the sx) showing when audio is clipping. My beats never sound as good as when i created them on my old sx, and this is one of the reasons. Nowadays doesn't exist something like this in the mk2, isn't it?
@@spvidz Exactly, but nothing when recording with resample mode.. I hope the people at Roland add something similar in a future update. It is one of the biggest drawbacks of the mk2 in my opinion.
I’ve been having troubles making things with 8 bars on tr mode. Everytime I try to make something more than 4 bars it’ll cut out the drums or sample. I checked everything is off and I even reset it to factory deleting all my old beats and samples pls help

EXT SOURCE goes red when its peaking but that might only be the signal coming in
