I went to try it after seeing the video. It's nice. I could see myself buying and playing it. The demo is too short so I only played it once, and it's the usual nuisance of trying to level a weapon but not getting any upgrades even with the re-rolls
The 10% upgrade for one spell upgrades the level of the weapon. At 6 and 12 they get a passive. The 10% to all spells does not upgrade the weapon level.
We're aiming to offer something different by introducing the ability to add elements to spells and combine them. We also add co-op gameplay with friendly fire.
@@BoltBlasterGames and I encourage and support you on your quest to iterate on the design. DRG:S take on the genre is so recent I'm impressed you were able to get out a polished iteration so quickly. Even with the genre being mechanically pretty straight forward and tools and assets for rapid development great, putting out something others can install in play in under 4 months is incredible to me. Were you already in the process of making a Survivor game when DRG:S released to open access?
Goddamn you keep referencing other games; if you start doing that for these survivor-likes 90% of the video is gonna be "oh this is just like 'x' " - really not necessary, all of this genre is just ideas and assets from each other
It is a ambitious project to make it a Coop survivors game. Unfortunately, that seemingly doesn't leave enough design space to make a good single player experience. And since you can't really do the multiplayer part as a video, I don't think it is a good game for you.
@@BoltBlasterGames You can't optimize for everything. And with MP optimisation often, single player will suffer. This is the first time I know someone tried to add coop to a survivors game, so you had your work cut out for you. You had to solve the issue of people stacking. You did so via friendly fire. But that mechanic is either annoying or completely negated in single player. Maybe you could add bots to the single player? But that could also add issues.
Thank you so much! Really nice to see you play The Spell Brigade! We would love to see you play the game in co-op somewhere down the line! 🥰
These seem to be the only games I have the attention span to play these days, so I really appreciate your content bro! ❤ thanks

What’s the thought process behind you choosing 10% damage upgrade for 1 spell (common) over 10% damage upgrade for ALL spells (rare)?
don't know the exact instance, but either to get to a level threshold on the spell (6, 12, and I assumed 18), or just missed I guess

Bug Survivors!! And always go garlic❤❤
It seems really badly tuned for solo, is there an online matchmaking?
The turn around on cloning DRG:S is impressive

@@jenius00 We weren't, development started just a few months ago. Thank you for these kind words!
Looks interesting but I know im gonna fall asleep playing this😅
you sounds like a character i love king louie from Madagascar
Imagine the days when you saw a game and you could just go buy it instead of having "wait indefinitely" tags on them.
astral orb got 240 damage single target 😅 i guess it's the best
Basiaclly Deep Rock survivor but without the mining and escape pod.
Plus co op with friendly fire apparently
Play on stream without voice chat.

Both should be fun in our opinion!

Exploding mobs are so lazy
Thanks a lot for bringing these new games to us!🤌🏻❤️
It's pretty boring, there's practically no challenge in it.
