i got my songs i like the more off the cd but i love them all. its hard to pick one but my top 3 is ode to solitude(this song stuck out to me) like saint valentine and acoustic funeral. that might change bc i just picked 3. they are all amazing!
He is so right. I agree that a second album would be harder. Also today one can download everything without paying a cent. It makes it so hard for bands that are well known and have a large (yet not abnormal) fan base to survive. I hope these guys will keep on playing. I really like their sound. And I love how Ville is a fan of 80's rock and metal. Respect. I can only dream of H.I.M coming to Israel :( Much love.
I love the band's original sound and that's what keeps the music so beautiful.. American sound on this album sounds like a bad idea.. But you never know.. HIM can always surprise you with every track.
the point is that every band in the world, at some point, changes sound and directions, always, it's physiological sometimes we change with them and all is fine....but often we don't, maybe we change too slowly or even too fast...and then something goes off and we can't recognize ourselves so we say it's them who did wrong but it isn't, they just did what was best for them to keep a sound just to please the fans, that's the most shitty thing a band can do

that to say you're right but buying an album you don't like isn't a solution if him fans, who were probably true fans, doesn't like them anymore they can just recognize that a tad bit of guilty is theirs and not only HIM's I didn't buy this album, because I bought Venus Doom and didn't like it I listened to it online and it was bad to me then a month ago I started listening to Screamworks again after two years and more and suddenly something got in line: I changed, they've always been there
He is not trying to be clever and make money. Ville likes to try new things from mixing together different types of music from his past. If you think he lives in a mansion in the caribbean, you should watch some interviews. He lives in a flat in Helsinki I think, nothing special. He does it for his passion for music and the need to express himself in different ways.

Not every1 is gonna like this album by any means. At first i thought 'why american','why Matt producing but im a big fan of that almost cheesy american 80's drumming you know with the kick and boom style almost pop rock. Inspired by Depesh, G N' R, the Cult. To me that sounds like RR but opting for GNR style Guitar instead of the Black Sabbath, going for more upbeat rythims & hooks ala'Depesh Mode'. im a big fan of Goth & Doom Metal but this ain't gonna "blow" by any means. ...Hopefully
Yes, progress musicaly. Same ol' gets boring. Feelings told through music is such a turn on. All the taste musically speaking makes the anticipation on his album more the sweater.
