I recognized Lancaster in about 3 seconds! I live there now (2020). But I've never heard of Tinta's Salsa. Is it still in business?

No longer there. Tina is my cousin. She stopped doing it the year of this interview. She worked hard but retail food business is tough. Her salsa was fantastic, our grandmother was from Mexico City, our parents spent their younger years in Mexico City. Lots of great cooks in the family all of us have been in the food biz.

@@larrymcgrath8019 Larry, I believe you're the gentleman she mentioned who has a catering business in Riverside. I'm just curious is all, did she "sell" the business. I say that because I hope she made some profit after all of her hard work. Thank you.

She failed by breaking business rule #1 don’t hire family or friends, and especially don’t overstaff overextend yourself starting up, crawl before walking and walk before running
