Apologies for the hiatus Our previous editor, abruptly left, with no warning, I’ve been chasing editors over the last month. But I think we’re finally there, and normality can resume plus a massive amount of Munich, high end content. And for the love of God, it is iteration stop messing that word up 😂 To our newcomers, welcome, to the old crew welcome back.
Aren't these really re-made Denon AHD7000's? I've got a pair (built by Fostex obviously) from a few years ago and they still rock. Makes me wonder if I ever should upgrade......ah - but then there's the AB1266 and I've never heard them live....
@@huyshe123 ever upgrading that’s a question I think only you can answer, but as for the Denon headphones I have never personally reviewed them so I’m unsure about how they perform
Coincidentally about a week ago I managed to get TH900 Pearl White so I'm wondering how it will do (luckily I have both Bliss and Euforia that you mentioned working well with this headphone so I'm hopeful I will be able to pair it with something that gives it an excellent bass and not end up being murdered by treble-cannon at the same time :) ). However I'm refusing to use the stock cable and while I've got an order placed for custom gladiator cable, I have to wait a bit. You mentioned that this Brilliant Purple version is tuned differently than Red and White ones - I've read somewhere that standard Red and then limited Emerald Green version have the stock tuning and then Sapphire Blue and Pearl White have so called "anniversary" tuning. However I could not find any indication on whether Purples have different tuning altogether (so different from both, stock and anniversary) or just different to stock Red version but same to Blue/White.
Good review, I agree completely. I've had TH900 for almost a decade and it's great for certain music. Fantastic bass, great soundstage and detailed. But the sharp treble and recessed midrange can be so fatiguing. But they're certainly fun to bring out sometimes.
Thank you for the kind words I really do appreciate it, it’s been so stressful since Munich But we are back on track, and my goodness I have some videos for you guys
@@ConvinceMeAudio Looking forward to your Warwick Acoustics Aperio review to see if that's truly the best out there. I believe Sennheiser are coming to Canjam in London in August so I'm hoping they will have the HE1 there to try out. You would have that Warwick Acoustics would be at their home Canjam but I didn't see them last year or on the list of exhibitors this year...
I used to own the Pearl While version, apparently they had different tuning than the regular red version, the treble was just way too much for me. Got the Yaxi earpads to tame it, still too much. I don't EQ so I had to let them go
@@ConvinceMeAudio Hey, as an update - I got the organics! its such an amazing set and pairs insanely good with the wa7. I do have a use case where i need to use closed back now more often sadly. is there any closed back headphone you'd recommend that would benefit the wa7 3rd gen (doesnt need much power and possibly likes tubes) and would match my music genres too? is the fostex mk2 a good candidate or should I look at other pairs? I would love to follow your recommendation right away as I did with the organics. Thanks a lot again!
yes, i had the pearl white version and it was too bright... apparently they're brighter than the regular version, with better controlled bass according to people who own both
Paint work on every version is work of art but sadly thats it :) in terms of sound there is nothing interesting for me, roughly my 6XX driven by classic Feliks Elise MK1 can sound more accurate. Give a chance another japan made headphones that are underdog but my fav ADX5000

Still one of the best headphones on the market.
Good for death metal?
@@TheFbiFilesRepeatoh fuck yeah it is, I have one. With a powerful enough amp you can make the bass physically rattle.

I love my TH900 mk2's with my RME ADI-2 with some mild EQ to bring the mids up

I think different to red possibly

I own the 909. I really appreciate its bass.
Great video thanks. Subbed 🎉
Thank you for the kind words
Welcome to the fam 🐅😎
Great job bro 👏
Euforia (EVO) or HA3-A for these?
OTL vs. TC. Or better a hybrid?
If paired with woo audio wa7 gen3 and main music genre is pop / r&b, so a mix of bass and vocals - th900 mk2 purple or arya organic?

The blind man can tell what sound is like, well done....
Hey mate can y tell me , 900 mk1 same mk2? Except cable
You said they sounded great with a Euphoria. Is that the Feliks Audio Euforia you're talking about or something else?
Indeed, it is
Do the special editions have a different sonic character?
They do indeed, actually, yes, and come with a nice stand to boot

Can cma18m drive it well?
Anyone else think they look like a bowling ball straight out of The Big Lebowski? 🎳
Woot!
How many stripey cats ?
I could have sworn we did not forget LOL and we did it 😎
These are nice BASS Head headphones... but I didn't love them overall when I tried them. Hot looking, but Overpriced imo 🤷🏻♂
I think the most agreeable Fostex
But yes it takes tremendous control to get them sounding great
Great headphones with awful proprietary plugs.
Seriously... _Why?!_ Why would they use an existing connector but swap the pins?!
