- Caerlaverock Castle is a moated triangular castle first built in the 13th century. It is located on the southern coast of Scotland, 7 miles south of Dumfries, on the edge of the Caerlaverock National Nature Reserve.

This is the castle that my mother’s family hails from! I visited and even as an adult I found myself running around like a child. It’s an absolutely beautiful ruin!

Well.. in 1960ties in Molde in Norway Orlaug Askevold schowed my father Torkild Svendsen from Bergen a great list of relatives of us, where Maxwell were related to us from Hardangerfjord/ Bergen . Maxwell had to flee Scotland 1640 because of the revolusjon.
Boy can those wee legs of Poppy go! She just tackles those steps with such ease.

No, not been to Warkworth, is it dog friendly - that's the usual reason we haven't been.

Morning Bob can you help please when towing your car do you put an on tow sign in the back window as well as changing the number plate as I have no clue.
The law says that as attaching an A Frame turns the car into a trailer, you should have triangular reflectors, fitted as if on a trailer board. There's no requirement to fit a on tow sign, as you don't fit that to a trailer. Up to now I haven't bothered because the car already has reflectors on the car, but I will be getting the required triangular reflectors fitted very soon. So, watch this space!

Good afternoon Bob,Jenny poppy....am enjoying your videos am getting some fantastic ideas and seeing some lovely places my dad would have loved going to.
Anyhow hope can help if have time if it don't worry...would it be possible on you motor home to get measurements of the garage door at back and the storage locker (access under beds)so can check if our awning will fit as is in a made to measure bag 😮😲 have been in touch with swift but no reply and strongly looking at getting the model you have.

I wouldn't call the outside doors garage doors. They are just locker doors with an opening 70 x 35cm. However, I put my awning inside by lifting up the bed, I strongly doubt an awning would fit in via the locker doors. I have a space of around 80 x 70cm under the bed, behind the wheel arch, to put my awning bag.
