I’ve walked up from the 101 side, it’s like going up an endless staircase. So it’s about the same angle as regular house stairs the first third. Not as steep except a couple of places the final two thirds. But the trail has several big drops, which you can see in the vid. Nice skills to the riders.
So many times, as long as you can maintain speed, its just, don't interfere with the bike, it knows what its doing, its the sack of meat on top bothering it lol.
Did you guys ascend from Res. Can Rd. off the freeway? Im local to this trail and only hiked it from the west side, had no idea that was an mob trail! Awesome!
Gnar! I can't find that trail ref in Trailforks. I was raised in SLO, live in Sac area now - is that Madonna Mtn? Bishop's Peak? Insane descent whichever of the 7 Sisters it may be.
Just got a Commencal Meta AM V4.2 , it's sick, been riding like crazy last 2 days since I got it. There are lots of technical trails like this near me, but so many unridable sections where you gotta get off and walk a bit.
Great video guys. I've been chunking through all a,most all of them. Well done. Only advice I'd give is drop the music outside of special edits. Just the sound of your bike and feel free to talk to us as you ride. We all enjoy riding with you guys. Keep up the awesome content!
hey guys thanks for the top notch riding you guys are doing. It's Awesome !! I do have a question for you. Are you guys shuttling up to get to the trail? I ask because I want to hit this trail but will be by myself as I am travelling around Cali looking for the best trails to hit. Do you think the local bike shops would help me out?....
First off ... as always ... THANKS FOR THE GREAT VIDEOS!!!! Absolutely loved the trail. Gotta make a trip out there. When did you guys make your SLO Trip? What month? Conditions are spot on.
Hike a bike up from the back of the High School. As far as I know it is a legal trail, no signs saying otherwise. It is well beyond the level that most people ride at, so I don't think it sees much MTB traffic lol.
Trail Peek I went up to the trail head by Lizzie street, there was a sign saying no bicycles allowed as it was a hiking only trail. Had to turn back and watch the superbowl. Is that the route you guys hiked up on?
dope boiz, you guys conquered the king. nice job cleaning that drop section!
That part was tough, had to scope it before hitting it!
Whew baby! Solid stuff!
BKXC you have got to check out San Luis! So much good descending!
Wicked video as usual! Given that video makes the trail look tamer, the fact it looks gnarly here means it's the real deal!!
Thanks! This was one of the gnarlier trails we've ever ridden!
Steep steep ... and technical. Looks awesome
This trail is no joke!
Sick vid man. I've been riding all surrounding trails but this. Keep em coming!!!
Sweet! The riding down there is top notch.

That's technical how I love it ! Great riding :)
That's Badass.
Great stuff man! Some of those rock sections looked seriously tough.
BlindstuffMTB Yeah it's a little awkward in spots, just have to keep your momentum and pick good lines! A true test of technical riding.
So many times, as long as you can maintain speed, its just, don't interfere with the bike, it knows what its doing, its the sack of meat on top bothering it lol.
Wow! Pucker factor high, you killed it, awesome!
Fully clenched

+1 For the Specialized 2fo's! Love mine!
michael sudden at first the felt terrible, but after I cut some of the padding out they've been great. Switching to 5.10 kestrel laces next
Nice work guys. Damn, that was rough...
The Bronson and Remedy ate it up!
Gnar! I can't find that trail ref in Trailforks. I was raised in SLO, live in Sac area now - is that Madonna Mtn? Bishop's Peak? Insane descent whichever of the 7 Sisters it may be.
It’s the mountain up behind slohs
It's off of Reservoir canyon
Rowdy! Nice ride guys!
You really get a feel for how steep the trail is. Bloody terrifying. Arm pump much?
Yeah arms were feeling it towards the bottom!
Should have called this video how to kill your brakes 101 great video btw
How to kill your brakes 101, on the 101 ;)

Awesome! I love the Bronson, I'm sure you'll love it too!
thats a great video, nice technical ride!
holy shit, you weren't joking, that trail looks gnarly!
It's extra gnarly in person! Check it out if you're visiting.

Just keep practicing! Confidence is the key to tackling difficult terrain that may seem unridable.
chili24137 I've got a commencal v4 and it's amazing how much the bike boosts your Confidence
Nice tech rock. Very steep.

Thanks! We'll think about dropping the music. Honestly it would be pretty hard to talk coherently to the camera and ride this trail haha!
Trail Peek Just have to channel your inner Claudio. 👍🏼
@@TrailPeek I like the music with it, but raw runs have their place too.
wow that was sick!
Nice video keep them coming
Thanks! We're doing new videos every Wednesday, and sprinkling in other ones here and there.

There is no shuttle for this trail. It requires a 45 minute hike to the top.
Here's the climb segment:

First off ... as always ... THANKS FOR THE GREAT VIDEOS!!!!
Absolutely loved the trail. Gotta make a trip out there.
When did you guys make your SLO Trip? What month? Conditions are spot on.
We were there in mid December. Its a great spot for winter riding in California. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the quick reply back. Keep the videos coming :)
Sick dood!
Wow that was knarly.
Good job! great video ;)
sick tech riding brah!
Marty M Thanks brother!
amazing
How did you guys get to the top? Did you carry your bikes from the High School up that hiking trail? Is it legal to ride on this trail?
Hike a bike up from the back of the High School. As far as I know it is a legal trail, no signs saying otherwise. It is well beyond the level that most people ride at, so I don't think it sees much MTB traffic lol.
Trail Peek Looks like I have plans on Sunday then. Thanks man!
Sahara let us know how it goes! Looks can be deceiving with the GoPro footage!
Trail Peek I went up to the trail head by Lizzie street, there was a sign saying no bicycles allowed as it was a hiking only trail. Had to turn back and watch the superbowl. Is that the route you guys hiked up on?
Yep that's the one! I didn't see a sign when we road it. If there is a sign now, technically you're hiking the entire way and not really riding.
do you edit out crashes or do you just not crash lmao. I definitely would have had to walk some of that!
Crashing on certain parts of this trail would be deadly!
Dude where is the location ??
Bet your hands were feeling it
Our arms were burning up too!
looked sick nice vid
so cool trail
name of gimbal?
Its the Feiyu Tech WG
That trail does not look fun😂
You certainly did not exaggerate when you said technical
There should probably be a warning for people wanting to ride this trail after watching the video. It's full on!
👍📹
w00t
thats not a trail its a rock fest
Gnarlier the better!
damn that looks chunky, I bet it's worse in person
Check it out if you're down there! 30 minute hike a bike to the top as well!
ill be down there in the next month but I'm not as skilled as you so it'll be some hike a bike down as well
Have fun! So many good trails!
First
I guess the sentence "nothing it's too gnarly" is bs xD
Well not every Trail Peek trail can be awesome
Wow, that was a really gnarly ride uff
