Better cover up for saying teachers and parents at the same time would to say you're both. A lot of teachers are parents. You could have also went with one being a parent and one being a teacher. However the real weird part is the fact the student feels a need to ask.
If I saw a man dressed like he's from the early 18 hundreds and another looking like he stepped out of car wash add from the 70's loudly discussing nonsensical things at a school event where the only adults should be parents or teachers I too would want to know.
