Wonderful demonstration dear There is a little confusion Song ek pyar ka naghma, resting point is 4th white key if I start song from 1st black key So according resting note as Sa on 4th white key, raag is Bhairvi but literature say raag is Bilawal I m professional Dr in UK and I learned all harmonium on line and can play any song. I stick to raags always. Please help Love your lessons

Main recommend karunga aapko ki aap light music jinme classical touch bohot hee rare hota hai yaa hota hee nhi hai, usme scale kaise pata lagaye iss technique par baar kare.

Depending on what one considers Sa it is dwindling between pilu and Patdeep.. or something else- based on the method you explained, gham ka na Dil Mein ho guzar, gham I am treating as higher Sa, by that song starts with Komal dhaivat. there is very little Komal ga and so I think it is Pilu. can you explain ma'am. thank you for all your videos its a great help. I am just a beginner or lets say have been. beginner since long and I play with the harmonium and am researching online in this lockdown.

In classical music if we have fixed our scale in a particular pitch we normally do not change through the entire concert. Is it the same for live light music performances ?
I think English Notaion may be perfect example like C C# etc because they are fix and easy to understand and if there is Harmonium or Casio it would very easy to understand.

Thanks for covering this important topic. Well I think its actually all about ear training..we should practice ta middle and upper octave Sa regularly beside other practices...then our mind will automatically catch the Sa itself.
