Thanks Kevin! Yeah man, it was an awesome show. I was not able to be there very long, but I had a good time. I'm already looking forward to next years event.
You did a great job of capturing the atmosphere of the event as a whole, and your Freightliner looks brilliant charging confidently through the melee! I hope you´re feeling pretty damned proud of your self, Mark.
I was so over stimulated I didn't know where to point the camera sometimes. You know Del, I am feeling pretty damn chuffed with the Freightliner build. Several people came and complimented me on it, it felt good to get feedback from folks that had some bloody nice trucks.
@@OldIronRC I always marvel at your self discipline when you´re at some awesome show, yet you retain the ability to stay focussed on getting good footage for the lads! I´m glad that you are able to recognise what a bloody good build the Freightliner is - the trailer is magnificent when seen in context. This is both a technical achievement and an artistic one; the whole rig presents a very credible "life story" to anyone who has the sense to look at it with an interested eye. You could´ve rested on your laurels after building FatBetty, but you´ve much more to offer!
@@Del350K4 Thanks Del. It means a lot. The hobby is my mental life line I think. I admit I obsess on it at times, but It keeps me out of trouble (most the time). I am convinced of the benefits of having a hobby. If I didn't have hobbies I'd probably be in a nut farm.
@@OldIronRC I couldn´t agree more! The strange thing is that blokes without a hobby look down on us. I remember a guy showing me the riverside house he´d rented for the summer. "Wow!", I said. "Why don´t you get yourself an RC speedboat?" "Because I´m not a sad twat" was his reply. Then he spent the summer evenings sitting in a bar, watching football on the bar´s giant tv and drinking beer...
This is the the wonderful hobby that I like. Your truck, very nice, like a strong old truck between many other new style truck, felicitation very good DIY truck. Thank you very much for sharing with us this experience. Best Regard
More great footage of the "Scrap King". Some of those guys probably have a great deal of funds invested? Thanks again for all you do. That was an excellent adventure!
Thank you Ray. Yeah, there was some mighty fine rigs there. Lots of coin and time invested in them beuaties I am sure. It's hard not to spend up in the RC truck scene.
@@OldIronRC I know. I was into 1/10 scale electric racing once. I was running an open wheel dirt car in Wed. night at a track with a $15.00 entry fee and an asphalt car in a parking lot with a club that had a $10.00 entry fee. That was a hardship but keeping up with technology was murder and hiway robbery combined. I really love what you do and I know there's a lot more to it than just setting up a camera. Thanks for your hard work and investment. Later
There must be stuff around. I would imagine the legendary Aussie road trains would be on point at a show like this. I can't remember the name, but I found an Aussie website that sold all sorts of custom parts to make the road train style rigs.
@@OldIronRC hopefully not. I enjoy what your doing! I wish I had your skills. I have a excavator thats part metal an part plastic. I'd love for it to be worn
This is the level I aspire to, someday, I've been in the hobby for 3 years and feel like I've got such a long way to go.🙏😎☮️✝️
The Cabover looks GREAT!
Cheers Mike! It did alright eh.
Awesome Video was great weekend

😲Looks liek you folks had a fantastic turnout👍👍🏻 for this event!
Yes, it was a great turn out. It was a National event so some folks traveled to be at the event with their rigs. It was awesome to see.

There were a lot of good-looking rigs there. My fave would have to be the blacked-out Jack Daniel's rig.
yeah, I was liking the 2 matt black rigs. The Monster Energy tanker was cool too.
Such an awesome event! So many great looking rigs!
It was a great turn out. Some folks traveled quite a distance to attend. It was an impressive collection.

Wow, fantastic buddy. Pleasure watching
Glad you enjoyed it. It was a fun time.
Very nice purple FORD
:-)
Awesome video Marc, was nice meeting and chatting with you after following your builds on here for a number of year's. The Freightliner was on point 👌
Thanks very much Greg! I wasn't sure if it would fit in with the Tamiya rigs, but it wasn't too far off in scale etc.
It was perfect, most authentic rig there in reality
I've never been to anything like this, I think itd be alot of fun! But I'd leave wanting to own so much more
It is hard not to go spend up at the hobby shops after a show like this.

We do. Just depends on where you are located.

I really like your style of machines! Used up, but loved an taken care of. What's with all the show trucks lol.
Thank you. I prefer the aged look on my models. Maybe one day I'll make a shiny new looking model, but unlikely.
