Dividends are what got me into investing in the stock market. The thing to me is, if you invest and have other income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends without selling. Which means you can pass that on to your kids which will give them a leg up in life. Have over $600K in my portfolio as I bought a lot of dividend stocks before, I'm buying more now, and I will buy more when it drops further.

Akshat..my take is..PSUs generally pay steady dividend as it is source of income for Govt. These stocks trade within a price range...for example REC..price range of 90 to 160...so one must purchase at lower price where dividend yield is approx 12 percent ..net returns approx 9 percent post taxes and sell at higher price in 3..4 yrs at the same time generating income from dividends for this period.
Bottom line is buy good dividend paying stocks with dividend yield of 10 to 12 percent.

Hi @Akshat, I have a doubt regarding investing in dividend stocks vs FD. Could you please make a video around it ? I have seen this particular video many times. I have got the clarity on dividend paying stocks are good to have in portfolio as after 3-5 years of consistent investments they will create a good passive income. But when I am comparing the good candidates which should be included in the list, it is around 5-6% and that is what I can get from FD investments as well. The only pros is that if any of stock gets appreciation then my returns/passives would be at higher end. But there will also be a possibility of reverse too.
So how different it is from an FD ?
In one video, you have suggested that if we are not able to get 12.5% return that means we will be loosing our money globally (including inflation and global INR depreciation). So in this case, how should I approach towards dividend strategy. Please make a video on this. I am thinking on dividend investments from the moment I had gone through this video, started investing in few stocks after screening them but even after almost 10 days, I am still at a loss here on how to make a good investment strategy around it.

Finding the ideal investment to increase retirement savings is no simple task; investors must first know what they want from their portfolio of investments. I've been retired for five years. When I was a few years from retirement, I made more strategic moves to focus more and more on high-quality dividend stocks and diversify my portfolio with crypto and Forex trading. As a result of extensive research and having first-hand knowledge of the best times to buy and sell, my portfolio increased by over 300% in the first year. I'm retired now and have a seven figure portfolio.

@Gregg Bartel Like the greatest companies to buy and hold will differ from investor to investor, there is no ideal investment. Fortunately, Todd Schmidt, my investment coach, handles all the grunt work for me, taking care of stock selections for retirement and monthly income, among other aspects of investing. Todd generated a trade profit of $76,000 for me with a $15,000 investment in my first six months, so I am confident in the future profitability of my portfolio.

Hey KN! So it goes like this, if you have FD for USDT/USDC (or any other stablecoin for that matter) then the returns are fixed money wise as well as percentage wise. Because you get say 12% return on 1 dollar, you will keep getting that. But suppose you have FD of 1 BTC. Then with 6% interest you'll have 1.06 BTC in one year. But if BTC price falls from 50 Lac when you brought it to 35 Lac today, then even though you're holding more BTC, your return in terms of money is less. (BTC=Bitcoin)

Dividends are a great thing, but they’re only really effective for passive income when you either have somewheres over 20 to 25 thousand shares of a high yielding stock. Meaning you likely need to have a few hundred thousand if not more invested in it. Re-investing dividends back into the same stock certainly does snowball with compound interest, but you only really start seeing it after 20 years of never stopping and likely needing to add additional money of your own with it….so it’ll be time consuming and costly. The way I see it if you have a million dollars at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50 to 70 thousand in dividend income

With regard to Vauld - the FD return is earned on the amount invested or the coins bought? for instance the return is 12.68% for polkadot and I invest 1 lakh (66 coins), will I get 1.1268 Lakh at the end of the year or will I get 66coins+12.68% = 74.368 coins of which the total value could be 50k or 2 lakh as per the polkadot rate after a year.
