Some places DO have a payout on a five card hand. Where I play Crazy 4 Poker if you get a 5 card straight, you get an extra $30 on the light, for a five card flush it pays $40 on the light and if you get a full house, you get $50 on the light. I think that is why people ask if you get paid for your 5 card hands. :)
