I’m so sorry for the pain you went through. FYI, spirits that are attached to earth will become a ghost. Spirits that cross over are not ghosts. They BOTH check in on us regularly so your dad was def with you regardless of whether he was a ghost or not ❤ IF he’s a ghost tho, you’d want to urge him to cross over because being a ghost is usually not fun if you have an attachment to earth. If he still thinks he’s alive so he can help you, that’s not ideal. All he needs is permission from you to leave and cross over. Don’t worry! He will be back, to check in :) but those who have crossed over don’t like to impede and get in the way of your life path. You’ll all be together someday not too far away :)

My mother use to explain me the concept of life and death when I was young. As a kid ghosts were the most fearful thing for me. She use to tell me that they do exist but they do not have that power to effect us (humans). If we are mentally strong these powers can not effect us. My mother helped me from overcoming the fear of ghosts. She is a avid reader and the knowledge she gained from all those books she guided me to a more clear environment. This podcast contains so many concepts which are what my mother use to tell me. I really enjoyed this podcast.

From the perspective of a Criminologist, who also has a little knowledge about criminal psychology, especially psychopathology, because you talked about Dahmer, Bundy, Son of Sam, and the Burari case, I've actually studied them in detail. So, in most of the cases, it all really comes down to psychological trauma at any point in life, that transcends into one person becoming a killer. If we specifically talk about Dahmer, he had a difficult life-- with his parents never getting along, him being a gay in that time, his mother favouring his little brother over him, his father who genuinely cared for him being away most of the time, it all weighed on him. His first killing was accidental and he was very distraught after it, but recovered quickly, because didn't want to get caught, and hid the evidennce. He used to cut up roadkills with his father, when young, hence the ease with which he cut up people later. Now, he used to drug his victims, because of separation anxiety. He had only seen people leaving him all his life, not being loved, so he would drug them and keep them with him a little longer. Second, he would photograph him and would later on engage in cannibalism, because he wanted to keep a part of them with him, forever. In psychological terms, he was suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder. In the case of Burari deaths, Lalit was clearly suffering from psychosis, hallucinating his father because he loved him so much and also carried the trauma of seeing him die. And the family believed him because some of the things that he suggested for growth had come true, which is enough to gain a person's faith (as is in the case of babas). About Bundy, one of his interviews suggested that he was too much into porn, and because the sexual fantasies he had created in his mind after watching porn could not be fulfilled with his better half, he involved in necrophilia, just to sate those unconventional desires. And I just read the Michael Taylor case. The catch here is, he was rejected by that church girl who had caught his attention, just before church, which acted as the last straw in his already miserable life. As a result he pounced on her, half in anger and half in frustration of everything just not going his way. However, the trauma of the priests' torture bore on him heavily. He was not possessed by any demon, he became the demoon, because of what had happened to him. I would just like to put it out there, that if we were to consider possession for every henious criminal, Nazis, people who kill during riots, and many other should be considered for it as well, hehe. You see, I like to believe that every person is inherently criminal, it just is there, in that primal little part of us, but our ego (sense of reality), rational judgment, and fear of punishment are what are stopping many of us. There have been experiments in this regard. Wow, this was long. Nonetheless, I love these episodes, always knowledgable and keep me hooked and at the edge of my seat. Also, this was just my perspective as someone who's studied crime in deep, I totally respect what Sarbajeet wants to explain here.

I do agree with you. Also for Dahmer, he got a surgery when he was really young which I feel could've somehow messed up with his brain. Maybe post surgery issues. Maybe the operation didn't worked out, or worked out enough for him to be alive but lose his sanity and ofc his disturbed childhood also played a role. Also the fact that his father taught him how to discard in the bones in the acid when he was merely 7 years of age.

6 Possible Scientific Reasons for Ghosts
      • Low frequency sound
      • Mold
      • Carbon monoxide
      • The power of suggestion
      • Drafts
      • We enjoy being afraid
Here they are in more detail.
      1. Low frequency sound
Just as the human eye can only see light at a range of frequencies-for example, we can’t see radio waves-the human ear can only hear sounds in a range of frequencies. Above ~20,000 Hertz, sounds are too high pitched for our ears to parse them, like the echolocation calls of most bats that fall in this ultrasonic range.
Similarly, human ears have trouble hearing low-frequency sounds below ~20 Hertz-known as infrasound-but such sounds do not go totally unnoticed. In a 2003 study, 22% of opens in a new windowconcert goers who were exposed to sounds at 17 Hertz reported feeling uneasy or sorrowful, getting chills, or “nervous feelings of revulsion and fear.”
So what are some of the more ordinary origins of such low frequency sounds? Weather events like earthquakes and volcanic activity or lightning, and communication between animals including elephants, whales, and hippos can all produce infrasound. And if you don’t live by any volcanoes or hippos but still think your house may be haunted? Humans also create low frequency sound via diesel engines, wind turbines, and some loud speakers or chemical explosions.
      2. Mold
Breathing in toxic mold can be bad for your respiratory system, but it can also be bad for your brain. Exposure to mold is known to cause neurologic symptoms like opens in a new windowdelirium, dementia, or irrational fears. So is it a coincidence that the houses we suspect are haunted also tend to be in disrepair and so quite possibly full of toxic mold? Scientists have worked to draw a firm link between the presence of mold and reported ghost sightings, but so far the evidence is mostly anecdotal.
      3. Carbon monoxide
Just as breathing in mold could lead us to see, hear, and feel things that aren’t really there, so too can breathing in too much carbon monoxide. We have carbon monoxide detectors in our homes to make sure we are not breathing in this odorless, colorless gas that slowly poisons us while going undetected by our senses.
But before a carbon monoxide gas leak poisons us, it can cause auditory hallucinations, a feeling of pressure on your chest, and an “opens in a new windowunexplained feeling of dread.” An often-told opens in a new windowghost story from the 1920s about the H family who moved into a new house only to hear footsteps, see apparitions, and feel malicious paranormal presences, turned out to be the result of carbon monoxide poisoning from a broken furnace.
      4. The power of suggestion
opens in a new windowStudies suggest that we are more likely to believe in a paranormal experience if someone else who was there can back up our belief. So while we might be able to convince ourselves that we were somehow mistaken about what we saw or heard, we tend to put more stock into someone else’s eye witness account if it also backs our suspicions. So our belief in ghosts can be catching.
Similarly, I would like to extend an apology to anyone I ever played the game of Ouija with as a kid. The toy game board used to contact spirits always proved too tempting to resist so the one moving it was always me, and not a paranormal spirit, even though I was just as excited as everyone else.
      5. Drafts
As the days get hotter and air conditioning becomes more and more expensive, I rely more on opening windows to cool my home. Opening windows on opposite ends of a room can create a nice breeze, but it can also create cold spots as air flow outside changes, causing cooler air to enter a warmer room. Drafts can also sneak in through chimneys and cause doors to slam or door knobs to rattle. So before you schedule a séance, try closing a few windows.
      6. We enjoy being afraid.
Neurologists have found that our brains opens in a new windowrelease dopamine, a chemical associated with pleasure, when we are afraid. Exactly how much dopamine and how many receptors we have for receiving it can influence whether you are a person that enjoys being frightened or someone who would rather avoid scary movies or rides altogether. So for some, letting our imaginations run wild with the possibilities of cohabitating with ghosts, athough scary, may also produce a bonus euphoric high.

The Estes Method was developed by a guy named Karl Pfeiffer, he was investigating at the Stanley Hotel. The method is named on the Estes Park where the Stanley Hotel (The Shinning Movie hotel) is located. It is well described on the Sam & Colby's RUclips channel in the Stanley Hotel Investigation video where Karl describes the best way to do the Estes Method is sitting blindfolded, ears covered with a noise cancelling headphone connected with the device while sitting on a rocking chair, rocking backward and forward with all the attention and focus, it is basically like being in a trance.

Some spirits, in fact most spirits are afraid of what could happen to them after crossing over. When my beloved uncle died, I was grief stricken and crying very loud when a psychic friend of mine messaged me from abroad asking if I was okay. I told him I lost my uncle (he never knew my uncle) and he asked me if my uncle had a "strong mustache" which was true. Then he said not to worry because my uncle was not alone. He was with another deceased family member (it was another uncle, they were brothers, they were very close while alive- the psychic said they were probably two and half years apart in age and that was true). I asked the psychic if my uncle had any message for me. The message was "I was scared at first but now I feel okay. I don't know where I am going but I have help. I know you are strong, just take care of your mother." Here, "your mother" refers to my mom, his sister. I was kind of relieved to know that he was not alone and both my uncles were together, or maybe one was helping the other cross over.
So my point is, I do believe that initially all the spirits are afraid of crossing over but deceased loved ones do come and help us cross over. The ones who don't have anyone waiting for them, maybe those are the ones that get stuck. I feel bad for them. It must be so lonely.

Not nainital, but lohaghat is the location he was referring to. It's my home town, therefore I've been there. He was entirely true when he said that you may feel a lot of bad energy outside the church. As I and my two cousins were making our way from the church to the hospital, I sensed a lot of negative energy and thought that someone was walking with us and mind you that it is surrounded by jungle and there was absolutely no one except us. My older cousin, who practises meditation and worships Nirmala devi Mataji, made the decision to leave the church because he thought there was a lot of negativity there.

    2 Skeptical questions:
    1) English was never used in India in the 11th century,as proper English language started in the 12th century even in Western Europe, before it was Latin. So how did Srinivas know Tape?
    2) How do spirits have memory of their name, year etc, because the only reason we remember things is because of the organ called brain, when someone dies they don't carry their brains. So how do they remember things?

He actually explained the language thing wrong. Actually spirits communicate in energy and intentions and that is translated to whatever we can understand.
Your second question is also answered by the same. When we die we become energy and all energy is "conscious". It's the consciousness that creates the brain and not the other way around.

Sarabjeet I'm a big fan of urs....i came back to this video to tell u something.
Today i was with my family gossiping during tea n we were remembering the time my dad grandma n many neighbours of us used to live in dhariwal(town in gurdaspur) n how it was so haunted but still ppl lived there because of work. There used to be a huge mill(i think it's closed now or maybe not) n a lot of ppl worked there as guards. I belong from nepal lineage and generations of us had lived in dhariwal. 90% of the ppl living there were gorkhalis. They faced the time of partition n bloodbath between hindus n pakistanis. It was already haunted when gorkhalis were given jobs of guards in that mill since a lot....lot of hindu n muslims esp muslims were murdered n buried there. Ghost sights and happenings were like a routine for them. Ppl avoided going outside past 6 or 7. Sleda(shape shifters), dead souls from partition times, souls of guards who suddenly died but i don't know why they never got free, souls of guys and girls (who were r*ped) buried/thrown in the waters by armymens never got mukti would roam around hiding in the bushes.
It has been years when almost all gorkhalis migrated from dhariwal to other places(mostly came here in pathankot) in search for jobs since the mill got closed later on i guess.
Few months ago my dad went there with his friend to reminiscent his childhood memories. The place is in shards almost unrecognizable.
I don't know if it is still a haunted place but if u ever think of hunting ghost u can check out that place. I won't even call it a haunted place since most ppl were kinda okay with it.. They would just avoid looking at them or crossing they paths but overall it was normal for them.

I had experienced a spirit in our home and I think that that spirit was my mother-in-law. She had died a year or so earlier and we were just sitting in the living room and talking about her and suddenly the TV came on all on its own. At that moment we knew that it was her letting us know that she was around. Nothing else has happened since and I sense that the spirit has left since. it’s been over ten years since her death, but I still get goosebumps every time I think of that moment.
