@@TheTrueBrits I only played it on ps5. My biggest gripe with it ATM, amongst other things, is attempted ground through balls being changed to lofted passes. Totally disrupting my attacks.
Smart assist is op on mobile. I'm glad people can't turn it on in division matches or events. I played with my friend who keeps smart assist on and it was a bad experience. Each time he would make a ground pass that would lead to losing possession, the assist changed the pass' trajectory instantly, it made it a lofted power pass(blue bar) and the pass got through everyone. But the most annoying thing is the shooting. He wasn't using his best strikers (he had a 97 ovr)and still every shot was unsavable ( extreme top corner and really powerful and impossible to save for my 101 ovr keeper) .It's almost impossible for my best strikers to shoot like that every single time.About the defence the defenders would do sliding tackles automaticlly, (just like PES when you had it semi or fully assisted).This was a bit unfair tbh because tackles are hard on mobile pvp because the delay. I haven't tried it on pc yet but what's the point on letting the ai do everything.
I uninstalled the game yesterday, and I'm never coming back. It is not only the Smart Assist, it is everything about the game. The level of mediocrity we have is insane. We waited for 3 years for Konami to deliver this. Embarrassing cutscenes, the worst celebrations ever, every time I score a goal I feel I'm about to throw up because of the horrid celebrations, and animations.
It's more about there is not atmosphere in the stadium......no boos no whistles no smokers......lazy celebrations.........best gameplay...but doesn't matter if the game is not alive@@Neo_Rain146
My main issue is refs not calling enough fouls with physical being so big now it sucks.tht along with throigh balls being awful as my attacker wil get stuck to run in straight line while their defnder can get to the ball.its so stulud
This is useful for mobile users and that's who Konami are catering to, but in turn this will harm console users because people will use this online and gain an advantage.
Let's face it guys. Konami made this game for underage kids that will spent their parent's money to buy things in-game. This is not for hardcore fan. Theyare chasing all those money.
I reinstalled the game last friday and the game is good , i swear, the players have that old school pes controls back, My league its offline mode to make your little master league , play it dudes , its good

If you don't like smart assist, turn it off. It has it's pros and cons. I think it's for the mobile guys, since they have no controller support it's difficult for them to pull off all the commands in game.

Well I see smart assist is like PA1 to PA3 at the end it will be everybody's own decision to use it or not. So the level is plain. Ping Pong passing already works with PA1 without any smart assist. I for example are too dumb to using stunning shots, passes etc but I still win most of my online games, as I can score without the use of them just fine. Of course smart assist will make the game more casual friendly, but the beginners will still not win again skilled players because there is more to the game then that.
I tried out shooting and every shot I had 50 percent where changed to a better finish which meant I scored a lot easily. I got EA FC but Konami have won it for me this year. The gameplay is way better despite the issues.
The thing that I hate the most about this game is passing. They feel too slow no matter what setting I choose, Full manual, semi-assisted, auto assisted or assisted. And the through balls almost always get directed to opponent defender's feet. They rarely go to the space in front of the striker to make 1-on-1s And Stunning Pass slows down the movement of the passer; useless when playing online. 😞
the idea is not bad but half the time its not working. i make a long pass and it does not get to the right player thts when the assisted sharp pass should play but it does not
Tbh I forgot Smart Assist was on until every time I go to make a ground pass and the AI decides a lofted pass would be better so it goes straight to the opponent!!! Don’t let this in the game!!
The game is assisted enough as it is, I put my controller down online and the AI defends and tackles for me, now this is the final nail in the coffin that confirms this is a mobile first game, also what the hell happened to the manual arrow when you press left trigger? All my through balls get intercepted so I want full control over them, or should I just switch to full manual now

Switch it off we don’t want or need it, game has improved and I’m loving playing a mix of online and offline, sure we need some more modes like master league and an edit mode would be good but the core gameplay is really good

I didn't know about smart assist Until yesterday I don't waste my time reading updates However after the last update I noticed that everyone is playing better and I'm losing almost all my pvp games At first I thought that i lost the touch 😂 I'm average player who by maximum can reach 2nd level With average team 3055 Anyway, i went to check my controller configuration to see if I can find anything to help And my eye caught the smart assist option to on or off When i put it on Everything went back to normal or better But unfortunately i didn't like it Because it feels fake

Smart assist is need due to the terrible match making. You have div 1 playing div 5 with power house pay to win teams. So to balance the game they gave us smart assist. And once this goes through it will only get worse with more and more script Ai control. Keep buy cards guys, that will fix the problem.
I tried to honestly give this game a real shot but I honestly can’t , I know everyone hates EAFC but Efootball feels like a fall from grace from what we had with Pes , at least FC25 it has replay value , this game? Not so much , especially from a offline perspective.
What is the point of a mode where the AI decides what YOUR players are going to do? Is this the direction Konami are going? RIP PES. Help us, 2K. You're our only hope. (Assuming they're still making a football game). Or the Death Star that is EA will conquer the entire Galaxy.

I’m currently enjoying the game after not playing since 2023. The “My league” mode is fun and i hope they add more to it [master league].
This took priority over master league for Konami. Joke of a company

I felt suicidal after playing with smart assist. Just the overwhelming sensation of giving up on life. Besides that it was great fun

The problem with smart assist is doing skill moves they are ridiculously overpowered with it on
For me the smart assist is a disaster
