Sounds like 'The Runaway Girl'. I have a version on Columbia from 1901 or so.

fascinating, sousa was the "presidents band" for 5 straight presidents after ulysses s grant, rutherford b hayes, james a garfield, chestor a arthur, grover cleveland, and benjamin harrison.
