By the time this album came out JF would only play lead guitar on his own songs. The other's felt they wanted to contribute their music to "CCR" though obviously it lacked John Fogerty's "CCR" sound. Some bad decisions, bad management (well great actually to rob the band of all their money, I guess that is what record companies like to do) and three of the four members thinking they had what John Fogerty had - which they of course didn't. JF arrogant? Why wouldn't he be? He created their sound, made a bunch of Number 1 and 2 hits - the Beatles keeping them from being #1. He was a genius and the other guys thought he was an asshole. Sad.
John an asshole?? Why would anyone ever say that? John is the bestest muso in the whole wide world of his own worlds and all others. John never did anything wrong to anyone, not even himself... John is a true victim of something, just ask him. Fair enough he will tell you, etc etc. Go Johnny, don't we know?

The Mardi gras album is poorly created because the producer pretty much RIP john fogerty off his ccr career.
