I like this Polonaise and it is so beautifully played. Sounds a lot like Schubert in some of his impromptu.

Someone from Japan or Korea please explain to me, as if to a Child - how come you like the Polish reneaisaise-y romantic Music of Chopin so much?
Btw He's name is Fryderyk Szopen. And and We, Poles Love, Love, Love when You play polish Music so well! 🥰 Still don't know How or Why??

Good question. I can only assume a culture/ education system which exposes people to classical music at an early age. There will be other factors as well, but this is part of the equation?

I'm really sorry but this is not Chopin at his age, when he wrote this. Beautiful playing but this piece is not meant to be so virtuoso style. Stop rushing. Play this passages slower please...

@@r0mmm Interesting.. Which letter was it? I have a collection of his letters but I didn't perceive it. Anyway I know, the structure of this piece is, what Chopin stated as "par exelence brillante" and it was rooted in the first half of XIX century. However that was just the beginning of this style and it was played more Beethoven-ish instead of sparkling style of later works of him or even Liszt. I don't believe that 15 years old Chopin would play it that brillant like the performer of this video.

@@Notturno81 Hmmm... What about J.N.Hummel, who took a different direction from Beethoven, and was seen performing his piano concertos by young Chopin, while touring Central Europe ? He was already established figure in a new style brillante. Hummel’s pianistic inventions landed directly under Chopin’s fingers, and developed into magnificent technique, that achieved its maturity and complete mastery by the age of 14-15. Liszt also took Hummel’s ideas under his fingers, and achieved mastery even surpassing Chopin in strength and loudness (essential those days for a concert performance career). I am absolutely positive that Chopin performed his Polonaise at the age of 14-15 as a showcase of his mastery over the keyboard.
