I don't think it would have. All the rest of the music is played on an organ and piano. I think a full orchestra would have complimented the ride score much better than the kitschy, dated, hippie rock music they've had in there for over 40 years now.
I was really hoping that the Imagineers would have replaced the original '60s sounding graveyard music with the more timeless orchestral music from the Phantom Manor's catacombs when they refurbished the Haunted Mansion in Florida. Oh well.
