That prayer was for me. I'd pray it a hundred times. Father work in me and in the young women of my generation to soften their hearts into trustful and joyful submission to you. Heal us and deliver us from the woundedness of this world and fill us with the knowledge of Your ultimate goodness, intelligence, power, and love for us. Amen

As an ex-lesbian who was such a feminist for years, the word "submission" is no longer scary, it's motivating and exciting! When we hunger after righteousness, God will give us such a desire to submit to our husbands. It's amazing, it's a miracle really. We should want the best for our husbands, we should submit to God in everything.

I am in tears, this touched me so much. My husband is overseas and we recently agreed that I needed to leave my part-time job so that I could be home. It was a difficult decision because I have never not worked, but I have found so much joy in being a housewife and when the Lord blesses us with children I look forward to being home to raise them. My husband and I have been married for almost 12 years and it wasn’t until this year that I started making a conscious effort to submit to him. And what a beautiful difference it has made.

I'm only 18, I have no idea if I will be married or will be single through my life. But what I do know is that if I ever get married, my children will come first regardless of where my career is at, because I can always go back to working and rebuild that later. But I can never go back to being there for my kids and raising them in the Lord.

Such rare teaching in today so it’s in church, inner beauty it’s not heard of it’s more of the outside than the inside. Proverbs 31 it’s our model, a woman who fears the Lord shall be praise.
We need to tend more to the heart than outer. I’m not against looking good, but if that’s all there is it’s vain useless.

There's much in here to unpack. I do need to help my wife understand things concerning this, to help her understand her role and that learning from the older women in our church is what she needs and is Biblical. Can't wait for the next one!

I definitely had fears after being. such a godly submissive subservient forgiving wife .Forced to leave my marriage do to physical abuse and infidelity. Let's just say I Came Out Of marriage a very different single woman . I had a totally different outlook on life primarily rooted in trying to totally change myself do to fear. I wanted to never be a victim again I hung out in the shady churches filled with dominate women over the men everything in the church bout God. But change never happened I just have never been that strong woman so the best I could muster up was becoming toxic and isolated to protect myself from the many predators in dominate feminist women assemblies, and communities and they are endless. Thank God toxicins eventually leaves the mind, body and soul and you see your not blind they are then get back to who you really are in God. Allowing yourself to let God manage who you are in a world against God. So from here it's about surrounding myself with environments and people that I don't have to alter my God given attributes to be in relationship with unGodly people . People like yourself that can give affirmation to women of God. I'm normal my marriage may have needed help ,but I stand confident being a submissive, unconditionally loving ,Godly wife supporting , praying, cheering, and building up my house for my husband and God. Wearing clothes that are modest always walking in good character I miss myself men may like dominate whores which is what my husband cheated with a stripper. But it's not about what men like it's about what God like and God liked me I was easy , submissive, conformable, and always followed instructions .
. In communities where women run everything while mismanaging her household you see them they look like superheroes until you get closer and find out they are the problem very evil, very bitter. God forbid one of their hypergamous man child boy looks at you or want them to attack you these psychopaths will not only ruin your life they will try to make it a living hell. II don't want to be like them I want to be me I may not be the strongest, independent, boss lady but after all isn't that just a man. Some communities are laced with men waiting for some women to come save them it won't be me. I'm going with the man who's my hero the example of Jesus in our life as a savior. Those older women were harlots and more in competition with you than trying to teach you they were trying to run you away from the church God bless you.

So, where was the actual teaching on how to be a wife? I do realize the title was about being a godly woman.
Great! I’ve never wanted to dress or behave scantily clad…. Even when I could have easily been objectified… never appealed to me.
Maybe it’s that I’m middle aged, been married for 26 years. Raised my sons, lived through many hard things…
I’m at a total loss here. I learned nothing. The story telling wasn’t helpful. The lack of expository teaching was disappointing.
Very young, and a new believer I was manipulated into my marriage. He said all the right things. I believed we wanted all the same things, for a Christian marriage and family. He lied.
He’s been abusive, neglectful, and nothing but a disappointment. He’d admit this. He’d pout and make excuses of how he had no good example of being a man, a husband, or a father. Then he’d eat a huge meal, punch a time clock, maybe watch some TV, and sleep. Rinse repeat!!! The Bible’s he’s had to have over the years - all still look brand new. He’s just not able to understand it.
He wants be to study and spoon feed him. 12 churches and NOT one met his standard… so he wouldn’t attend on a regular basis. A few he hand picked.
Our adult sons come to visit, he naps. He pouts that he never got a brother and can’t get along with his sisters…. IGNORING his wife & grown sons.
Where’s the teaching for this? Why is everything for husbands so good. So full of wisdom…. Wives get the shaft every time….
Even if a seasoned woman teaches on it… she’s married to a man that’s loving her, leading her, and helping her. Living life with her.
I know - I’m within my right to divorce. I didn’t get married to get divorced. I haven’t poured my life into this marriage for that. Not to mention. This man has nothing I didn’t help him achieve. I made this house a home…. God used me over and over in his life, to take very good care of him. While he sits around feeling sorry for himself. When many godly men have tried to help him, and he just couldn’t do what he was taught to do. He would admit he just can’t do it, he won’t do it. It’s too hard.
He’s still waiting to make nice with his sisters🙃 he recently told me, he can’t have a rich full life, because of them🤦🏼‍♀️ he no longer attacks with his cruel evil words… he just says and does nothing.
Don’t tell me to leave. He can leave. I could have built this life all by myself… humanely speaking. Obviously God has been by my side every step of the way.
Where’s the instruction on how to respect a husband that is physically present… but absent in every other way?
Where’s the teaching on how to follow someone that’s not leading you anywhere? Submit-sure I’ll submit…. He’d say no thanks, I don’t want to be responsible for that… submit to someone else.
Yes he is responsible before God. He will be held accountable…. what about now?

Has anyone ever answered you on this subject? I can feel the hurt, disappointment, and bitterness by just reading this…. I am too also going through this. What I can tell you is that prayer has helped so much…. It does get hard and I just want to give up but at the same time our babies are small and I don’t want to teach them about divorce… so i made the decision on staying despite of how I feel… so if you want to continue being with him…. Pray for him… not some small 5-15 min prayer I mean pour your heart out to our God… if you haven’t already …. Start fasting …. Go to war for your family and I can guarantee to you in the name of Jesus… that you will see a change. The Bible also tell us to look at the positive things so try your best to remember the good things while you intervene… hope this helped

I might not be the best person to answer because I've been alive shorter than your marriage, but I feel compelled to say this. God will see how you were there for and honored your sons and your husband while he was like this. Live knowing that you've done your part as a wife, and that God will see that on Judgement Day. I think also that this sermon was meant to help women who are entering the phase of looking to be married to choose wisely when it comes to a spouse. I know from having divorced parents that often we choose to put ourselves into these situations because of love, ignoring the red flags at the beginning. Maybe you can use your experience to pour into young women and lead them to not repeat what you have, and also make sure that your sons are men of God who will treat their wives well.

There is a video like this for husbands, it explains the responsibility of men. Men will be responsible before God for how they treated their wife. They also have a lot responsibility. It should never all fall on the woman. that isnt biblical at all

Tricia, I feel for you. I have a similar situation except that I willingly walked into mine, and it wasn't till after we had children that things started going wrong. Specifically when I truly met God. We were both church attenders, but I didn't really meet God until our eldest daughter was about 12, so we had been married close to 20 years. Here I am at 43 years of marriage and the problems still exist. I have prayed for over 20 years, and now I rarely pray for our marriage. I just got used to it. It's not an answer to prayer. I'm so jealous of couples who have it mostly together. I feel robbed. I am desperate for the redemption of my children. Only one is following Christ and also has her struggles. And so we plod on. Desperately seeking salvation for our grown children and their children while the husband sits in front of the TV or computer, not realising his share of responsibility before God or before his family. May God give us all the strength required to keep persevering. 🙏
I agree with almost everything that has been taught here, but it's not working for me. I'm no saint, but I feel I have no choice but to keep trusting in God. May He also give you the strength to keep going. Not everyone's life is a bed of roses. ❤

Watch What to do if you’re married to a jerk by Melissa Schworer, this helped me just be a godly woman when my husband doesn’t meet the biblical husband of loving me like Christ loving the church. Also read Martha Peace The Excellent Wife. Glorify Christ and sometimes it truly takes to keep God’s commandments and love in your heart to love, pray and serve your husband in every situation. I pray for you sister, I understand how this feels.

Correct, this feminism(chasing flesh)has increased the divorce rate in the USA. Get back to God:Repent, Get Baptize, and Spread the Gospel (Matthew 28 Chapter verses 19-20.Older women (Christians)need to guide younger women to find Godlyb/Christian Husbands.
