Do you have pancreatitis? If you do keto is not for you. Low carb ( with quality carbs of course) is ok but not keto. Why? Keto is high in fat and unfortunately even food fats are very irritating to an inflamed pancreas. Every doctor will confirm that and I know it from personal experience. Fasting is great! Any type long or short but high fat diet is a no no.
This makes a lot of sense. I was recently found to have gallstones but thought I had been misdiagnosed. This is owing to the fact that the pain I went to the doctor for, occurs on my left side. I do eat a lot of carbs. I’ll work on that, plus incorporate more veggies into my diet. I am already intermittent fasting.😅

If you have issues with oxalates you'd want to avoid 50% raw vegetables. Also Dr Berg, as you've mentioned in other videos, Carnivore with fasting can be the way to go for some people.

I went to my doctor last May and told them about my upper left stomach pain. They said it's indigestion and gave me omoprazol. Over a year later I still have the pain, even when I'm fasting and drinking only water.
So typical of your average doctor. It gets me mad when these doctors can't diagnose anything and tell people to eat more fiber and take omeprazol. 😒 Just generic advice.
Dr. Berg, people with pancreatitis are recommended to stick to a low-fat diet because if their pancreas isn’t functioning properly they’re not able to process fat well. How would a ketogenic diet be healthy for someone with pancreatitis? I understand that a low-carb diet is good for someone with pancreatitis, but a high-fat diet is never recommended.
I've noticed that my left side hurts only when i'm doing low carb. Weird. It fixed near everything in my body but it seems like it messes up something with my digestion.
You can go low-carb without going high fat though. Just leaving out the proccesed carbs (bread, pasta, pastries, cakes, rice, grains, etc) and focus on high vegetable intake next to moderate protein and moderate fat :)
Very good points! Thanks deeply! Your explanation about the relationship of nerve betwen pancrea and left side of neck is very crucial for me to understand my pains and ebaceous cysts on my left neck and back, while there is nothing negative on my right side. With my a little bit prediabetes, it is clear that my pancrea is working degenerately and I have to pay full attention to take care of it. This problem has been in my head for long, now it seems to be solved. All those symptoms are from pancrea! With clear reason of problem , it is easier to find a good solution. Thanks again! I think it is Jesus who loves me so much to guide me to watch this video the second time and get the benefits from it since I do not like repeating doing serious things. Hope you and your families and teammates be blessed by God! May all of you pursue Jesus, who is the resource of all benefits including eternity!

When I was 18 I had gallstones that had migrated into the pancreatic duct and caused pancreatitis. The pain I experienced was more in the center below the sternum. The pain was very intense and even years after surgery to remove the stones and my gallbladder, I would have episodes of intense pain there when I ate something sugary or if I drank alcohol. This is EXACTLY what I have been having!!! I’ve been to the doctor many times and they say to go on the GERD diet, to cut out this and that, now I have an endoscopy to go to. The common theme in the medical care I’ve received is if they don’t SEE something then you are okay. Why?!! When do you ever SEE something in a health condition? I once had severe pain in my muscle and the doctor looked at that part of my body and said I was okay..... I’m just so disgusted!!!
i thank God that i finally found the real reason why the left side of my chest is always aching after every meal. i've been to many doctors and they have not solved this pain that i have. i better start intermittent fasting & watch my carb intake.
I ended up with left side pain after dumping the carbs the pain was akin to someone sticking a sharp knife into my side and I ended up for the whole month with terrible lower back pain but that could have been due to the fact I have a curve on my spine near the waist and I had put on a lot of weight over the last 12 months. That being said I was determined to lose weight so I did 2 protein shakes a day using whey protein, frozen berries, moringa and psyllium husks which blended up for breakfast and lunch. My evening meal was salad with fish or chicken, an avocado, olives some cheese. I believe it was the konjac root to start with and maybe too much psyllium husks.I did not have any sweet cravings which I think was the moringa so it could have been candida hiding trying to survive. One day I did intermittent fasting and broke my fast with a smoothie of berries and moringa. Two hours later I ate my usual meal. I experienced a few hours later an evacuation of fecal matter like no other. The next morning my ankle was itching really badly but there was no rash to be seen, this went on for a few days. Thinking about what may be causing the problem I decided it was most likely candida finding a home as far away from the bowel in order to survive. The next day I fasted and broke the fast with apple juice and diatomaceous earth followed two hours later with my meal. the next day the itching on my ankle was gone. I know diatomaceous earth works to clear up candida after it helped to clear up a candida infection on my neck which 6 months of antifungal cream did nothing for and it is gentle but you do have to drink lots of water to help it to work.
Hi, did you figure out a way to stop the pain. Mine is in the rear left side. And I had been eating Keto for 2 months. But I started getting constipated 3 weeks ago. when I do evacuate the inflammation goes away with the pain. But I’m still trying to figure out is if my colon or my Pancreas. Did your pain was in the front left side? Are you better now? Did you continue doing Keto? Thank you for your help!!! :)
This is the mystifying part of keto. I never had these odd out-of-the-blue pains in my side or neck or back when I was eating SAD carbage. But I was falling apart on my way to diabetes. Now on keto, I’m eating a lot more whole foods than ever before, eating very clean, cut out sugars, dialed way back on dairy (for inflammation) and now the body sends out distress signals when I have a second serving at dinner. Like what the heck 🤦♀️

Keto is high in fat and unfortunately even food fats are very irritating to an inflamed pancreas. Every doctor will confirm that and I know it from personal experience. Fasting is great! Any type long or short but high fat diet is a no no.
This happens to me when I eat a lot of greens.
Clicked fast on this as I have this and it goes through to my back they said I had cyst on pancreas the pain is less if I have digestive enzymes and HCl betaine, and slippery elm
Vest I have similar condition do have some constipation with this issue?
@@rotorudage yes very often, but those HCl betaine helps and I will stop eating and drink manuka honey in green tea with lemon juice in when constipated as you can't keep eating when nothing is coming out the other end ..too painful..hope you improve💞
If you have issues with oxalates you'd want to avoid 50% raw vegetables. Also Dr Berg, as you've mentioned in other videos, Carnivore with fasting can be the way to go for some people.
The pain got worse for me on carnivore
@@ginnyfromdablock7551 one man's meat is anothers poison. Grass fed meat for me works.
Doctor, thank you so much for sharing your experience and knowledge in an easy to understand manner. You help me to have a better understanding of my body and improve my health condition. I wish we had more physicians like you here in Germany. I‘m sending you my very best wishes!!!!
Omg I have just been having pains on the left side. Yes it's usually after I have eaten something bad 😂. Thanks for this.
This was great, thanks, been searching for "are honey glazed parsnips healthy" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Eeycarlott Incredible Expediency - (search on google ) ? It is a great one of a kind product for discovering how to get the amazing looking body that you desire minus the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my mate got cool success with it.
Same here so thanks
I have that pain after eating keto friendly foods
@@authentic229.14 Probably the Lipase part, try to eat seafoods more veggies and right amount of protein try to avoid pork beef fats free range chicken is ok though.
I went to my doctor last May and told them about my upper left stomach pain. They said it's indigestion and gave me omoprazol. Over a year later I still have the pain, even when I'm fasting and drinking only water.
I have the same problem to
Did you find out what it was?
Hey thanks for sharing this. Any update? Was it a hernia?
So typical of your average doctor. It gets me mad when these doctors can't diagnose anything and tell people to eat more fiber and take omeprazol. 😒 Just generic advice.
It’s most likely something called a IPMN, your pancreatic duct is dilated and has cancer cells in it turning it into pancreatic cancer.
What triggers my pancreas is corn chips or corn. It will literally spasm. Its a cruel internal pain.
You finally addressed a problem I have once in a while. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful.
Always this pain for years. But nothing is wrong the doctor said.
@@ritakilicci4897 yea, I agree. Our ancestors never really ate that much food.
Perfect timing for husband, THANK YOU!!
I literally ate vegetables and my left side started hurting 😢 every time I eat now it hurts. I don’t eat gluten
Me right now! I fast and eat vegetables and kind of keto … idk what’s going on

Can u do a video on signs on cancer symptoms of pancreas.
Excellent! Your amazing! I wish you were my family MD. and I could come for office visits. Really knowledgeable Doctors are few and far in between.
You are one of the best Dr Berg. Thank you so much for all this information.
Wooow....just wooow
Your way of Explanation is awsome...
Thanks Doc.
How do you feel now? I have been having left side pain as well, sometimes its worse, feels like ulcer, sometimes it is a little high above in the chest and up to the neck and behind the ear. I didn’t think any of it made sense until I watched this video and saw your comment.
@@merryandmagic2112 I need to do diet to eat less, but it is hard for me to do this self-control. But the other way seems to work: taking more VD. The pain can be reduced much but the ulcer seem to be more.
@@maryw9841 I eat so less, I was basically starving myself and it got worse until I started eating back again. I am taking VD 4000 IUs everyday. Also B12.
@@merryandmagic2112 Now I am trying to eat more healthy, but definitely more expensive. And so maybe I can reduce the manmade vitamin and micerals. Anyway, Jesus always helps me! When I had pancreatis my experiences is horrible non stop pain all over my tumy... Never take alcohol whole my life. No gall bladder stones... End it up 4 days intensive care at the hospital... Remember my last meal was greek feta cheese with macoroni... After realese my hospital went to my family doctor... Her question was did you eat cheese on that day? ... Since than kind of scary eat cheese again...
I enjoy your simple and concise explanation. God bless you
Left side is your stomach also . Most left side pain comes from stomach issues first
Fulvic -humic acid along with some Ubiquinol with D3 50,000IU dose for a week. I feel well again. I've been doing the carnivore lately and tons of grass fed beef fat as well. Thinking about doing a round of NAD IV.
Also MCTs , Vinegar, coconut oil, aspirin
I just have fullnes on the left side, after I eat. I can push and massage really deeply and it'll make me belch a lot.
It just feels like the rib is pushing down on something there.
Funny you talked about this.. recently I started doing carbs and sugars again and i got exactly this problem.. started keto again and it went away lol
Dr Berg, can you do some informative video on salivary glands? Salivary gland stones, cancer , etc? And maybe ways to unblock salivary glands , massaging the glands etc.... Thanks!
I recently started having pain and spasms under my left rib cage and was thinking it's probably my spleen, but now thinking maybe pancreas.🤔
Having the same problem to and I been took my gallbladder out.
Same problem facing
I'm having the same thing. Any updates? Thanks in advance 😊
Any new findings ?

Recently my Dr found the "sludge' issue so been eating a lot better but yesterday I ate a bunch of pasta 😢 and here I am searching on your page to figure things out. Thank you for your knowledge and videos.
3 years of pain, 3 years of doctors not knowing nothing like always, thank you for caring for everyone and helping. Just one question, while doing keto as a vegetarian whats the best way to not lose weight ( I do lots of sport so I dont want to lose muscle😢 )

How about this question? Is drinking coconut water a good thing? I always buy some for a treat when I go grocery shopping. I know it's high in potassium, but it is high in sugar too.
My wife has had pain in left side for the past 2 months along with trouble swallowing certain solid foods. She is going in for an EGD next week.

damn! carbs are basically my diet. no wonder why my left side is always aching after i eat.
thank you for such a informative video. I never knew this. Keep up the fantastic job!!!
Hi! Did you find anything?
i thank God that i finally found the real reason why the left side of my chest is always aching after every meal. i've been to many doctors and they have not solved this pain that i have.
i better start intermittent fasting & watch my carb intake.
For me this all started just after starting keto(with 7-10 cups veg)
Me too. So I do IF most days, but not keto
Dr. Eric, you’re just the best I love all your videos very important information thank you very much for giving us invaluable knowledge and the best thing is for free ❤️❤️❤️

I had pain right there so bad before I started keto. Docs never checked anything, they just called it gas and charged me a lot of money.
I'm watching this and wondering if I might have pancreatic stones or pancreatitis, and if I do whether I can reverse it? I have no gallbladder due to stones.
@onewomancircus a month after having my very diseased gallbladder removed they went back and put a stint in my common duct for a month. I had stones and slugs in it. Due to all of that I have pancreatitis. I had an ulcer on my pancreas but thankfully it healed. I have other issues, food allergies and autoimmune diseases. I have found I love fat carnivore diet works for me.
I get pain under my left rib cage after I eat meat (not ground beef) but steaks, beef stew.
Seems like fasting helps with most ailments. Thanks for the info DR. Berg.

I hate my life because of digestive problems ...I don't even know what to do anymore and I'm just tired .., anything I eat is a problematic...so I figured out that it's not about the food .., my doctor found that I had h.pylori but I have eliminated it with antibiotics so I don't understand why I still have these problems ...it's situated in the left upper side 😭😭😭I can't resist anymore ...it makes me tired all the time ...and don't have enough energy all the day, I'll trying intermittent fasting hopefully it will help
After antibiotics course you need to take probiotic capsule with lunch
For the energy take two or three teaspoons of sugar in a glass of water
at bedtime, sugar turns to glucose for the muscles at night and give
energy all day long
