You are not alone my friend.. I became addicted to uberti period pistols and rifles and I can't quit collecting. I started with a 2nd model dragoon I found at a gun show, that was 24 uberti's ago and I'm still collecting, and like yourself I came across an 1866 uberti yellowboy in 45LC that I had to grit my teeth for but I love it and I understand your plight..good luck with the addiction I'm pulling for you.
I’m glad You got the gun you wanted. It is a beautiful rifle! I have a Uberti also in 45 colt and used a cast load to kill a deer a few years ago and that makes a good memory! Thank you.
Drayton....Do you recall which leather-wrap set you ordered? Was it the Rooster Cogburn combination? Jon said he thought is was the Rawhide set, but yours sure looks like the Rooster set Help?
nice guns! I also have a 24" rifle version, and would like to know what front sight you have on yours. I would guess a Lyman, but which model or vesion do you have?
Nice '73' replica. I prefer the '92' because it can handle the Ruger Only loads with aplomb, and it's pushing the envelope with the '73'. Still a very nice rifle nevertheless!
I have the exact same rifle. Love that rifle. Congratulations on yours. I believe that they only original were going to make 200 of these. Don't know how many they did make or if they did only make 200
Very nice! When you installed your tang sight (Marbles?) did you have to drill and/or tap any new hole? Also, the flip up rear sight, was that stock and if it was aftermarket, would you share a link? I hope your channel is successful. I have really become enamored with the old west genre of firearms and my accumulation is growing I hope one day to snag an 1860 Henry replica and a trapdoor Springfield replica.
I believe that it's all marbles sights it's a single dimond flip up sight with a half circle cut to go with my open circle front pepe sight. And yes sir it did require one hole to be drilled and tapped. Thank you for the wish's hope the chanel grows too.
@@nidavellirforgeandgun9369 I was just wondering cause I was thinking about getting one to hunt with . I saw were that you can get it in 357 magnum/38 special . I guess that one would be best choice if I wanted to use modern ammo .
I think it's more the toggle link action you need to worry about the steel the barrel has won't be the issue. That's why the 86 came out with the beefier action to support hot loads. Don't quote me on the year of the action. I'm not a wild west gun expert.
No such thing as 45 Long Colt, 45 Colt, nice rifle though. I own numerous Uberti firearms, I love my 1866 Yellowboy in 45 Colt and so does everybody else that shoots it. Cheers
Yup it was 44-40 and I have huge hands so the loop is for my comfort. 45 is better more power and easier to find pluss I have a set of pistols to share the ammo.
Elmer Keith said it best: "Today we often hear the .45 Colt Peacemaker cartridge referred to as the .45 Long Colt. Some newcomers to the game claim there is no such animal but if they had shot the short variety that Remington turned out in such profusion before, during, and after, World War I, they would see there was some basis in referring to the .45 Colt as the .45 Long."

Very neat the yellow boys are awesome! Keep shooting bud!

Uberti makes the best western guns. Very nice collection.
You have some Beautiful guns. I too am addicted to shooting and collecting these period firearms. Thanks for sharing. I subscribed to your channel.
Thank you for the sub! I appreciate it keep slinging lead!
Steel, wood, leather & gun powder nothing can beat it no sir...
That's quite an awesome setup you've got with this rifle... I'm jealous.... Thanks for sharing your video
Thank you it's the center of my collection I kinda went overboard with it.
I’m just getting into old west type guns now. I’m tired of many years of plastic and aluminum. I need some wood and steel guns.
Very nice collection of western guns 🍺
Love the reverse image, when you show how the rifle gets actioned. Shooting left-handed, with a left side loading gate!
That is a very nice rifle
Seems like that would make a great brush gun like you mentioned, buts it's so pretty I'd be scared to take it out! Haha
Very much so! I took it out once but dry day in a stand and it was carried out in a case.
That is a thing of beauty!
My Henry 22wmr is pimped out like that too, but I want a 45LC to match my 1873 SAA.
Very expensive to feed anything with 45 colt rn but it is a wonderful gun to shoot!

Help?
The company is gun stock covers he does amazing work and will customize it how you want. Sorry for the late reply.

Your correct on the brand I got the one with the changeable cross hair
Cool rifle dude
Nice rifle. I would like one in 44-40.
Nice '73' replica.

I heard it was a limited edition I think I heard 250 in each caliber
Did you make all the leather accoutrements yourself? I’ve never seen a fore end cover like that. Beautiful.
No I didn't I think the guy is called gun stock covers. He did a great job very good looking setup!

Can you shoot modern loads in it ? Or only cowboy loads ?
I Reccomend sticking to lighter loads

Top de arma...parabéns

She is beautiful 😍 45 Colt will kill a black bear, and that's all I need in East Tennessee when I'm walking around the woods
You had better be using hard cast bullets if you are going up against Mr. Bear.
Uberti/Cimarron make great western period firearms but all that leather on your rifle isn’t doing it for me!
Cool looking gun but hardly authentic. Originals were never chambered in 45 Colt or had the big loop lever.
Yup it was 44-40 and I have huge hands so the loop is for my comfort. 45 is better more power and easier to find pluss I have a set of pistols to share the ammo.
LONG Colt? No.
