Very nice review. Lalique WIB has been on my wish list for months. I got it as a gift today from my wife. Smells really close to Layton. Performance wise, it may not hold up to Layton, however, this is well worth the money. My decant of Layton is getting low and while I'll probably pick up another decant down the road, I no longer feel compelled to buy a full bottle of Layton. Lalique WIB definitely gets the job done and I couldn't be happier with it.
I have Lalique white in black AND Dua’s royal Chariot Attar. I’ve never smelled PDM Layton, but I LOVE the Dua fragrance (performance is nuclear). So, I spray 5 or 6 sprays of Lalique on my chest and undershirt while dressing for work, then 2 sprays of Dua when I get there, and I smell great all day without using all my Dua.
This smells sweet but mature. I don't have Layton but I have tried spicebomb extreme and this is similar but not as spicy. I'm enjoying this scent, it projects off of my skin pretty strong, definitely worth the price.
I own both Layton and white in black I prefer WIB it doesn't have the harsh burning rubber undertones that Layton has and I can smell it constantly all day where as Layton comes and goes
60 isn't old. Come on ,of course you can. Layton and This is Him combined in one fragrance with a great price and performance. I'm not to far behind you and I love wearing White in Black👊

How is the projection for you?
I can smell it for the first two hours but then it sits closer to the skin quite quickly.
Yes ,the projection isn't Layton or This is Him for sure.

I prefer white in black over layton as WIB doesn't have that mentholic smell to it.
