  • Today is the first day of spring, so I thought I would give you an update on my California Native plants that are planted in my dry stream bed. You will also see a mini garden tour of my front yard. If you are looking for waterside garden ideas, planting natives is the way to go.
Here is a list of some of the plants shown in this video:
    Scabiosa 'Butterfly blue'
    Centaurea 'Mercury'
    Sisyrinchium bellum 'Dwarf'
    Encelia Californica
    Achillea 'Moonshine' yarrow
    Coreopsis 'Uptick red'
    Manzanita 'Pacific Mist'
    Salvia clevelandii 'Juapatul'
    Penstemon spectabilis
    Salvia mellifera "Terra Seca"
    Calistemon "Little John"
    Epilobiumn canum "Marin pink

I just love all your plants and gardens 😊 So different than what I can grow where I live. Thanks Sue, for showing the gardens as they grow and bloom❤

Because Southern California has a Mediterranean climate, we are able to grow many different kinds of plants. 🪴

We’re in autumn while it’s spring in America. Lovely native plants! The camphor tree looks good with its yellow flowers even though the falling leaves can be a problem. So sorry to hear about the incident with the cacti. It’s a bit scary. The cactus area looks nice though. The shelf is quite handy to have. Well done my friend! Take care and keep up the great work you are doing
