Y'all can hate on me all you want, but I feel completely the opposite. I feel like the album is already getting so much hate and criticism, and it's not even out yet. Like save your final thoughts till the album is out and you've listened to it, front to back. That's how I feel though.
@@shakaj1525 true. Kendrick’s didn’t, and his album still performed very well. But The Weeknd did have a rollout for this album and people think it’s quite messy
The fact that you're worried about the album already shows how much of a fan you are. The singles are very different but still very good (although that's a matter of taste). The visuals we've seen over the last few days and the songs we're already familiar with reassure me that the album is musically sound. I think the most important thing is that Abel himself kills The Weeknd in his own way, because it's his story and we fans have to accept and welcome it as it is. I think we're only at the beginning of the whole Hurry Up Tomorrow story. Let's not jump to hasty and negative conclusions just 3 days before the release of the most important album of his career. The Weeknd has always managed to surprise us and I'm convinced that the 3-year wait between Dawn FM and HUT was worth it. Let's see what he's cooked up one last time.
The type of fan I am is the one that’s been there since first mixtape and saw him for 30 bucks with less than 1k people when he first came up. Hence the nervousness. I know what he can do, he just needs to do it
This is his last album, nothing can be the same. The rollout can’t be the same as what we’re used to. The music can’t be the same. I personally am a FANATIC of the weekend since 2010, that man can do no wrong in my eye. I hope you enjoy the album and remember that we will never get another Weeknd album. Him killing off the stage name and the long rollout is history and we are witnessing it. Have a great day!
Big fan of this channel & the breakdowns but I very much disagree. Yeah the rollout wasn’t very consistent, heck, the entire process leading up to HUT has been all over the place. But to question Abel’s commitment and drive 14 years into his career is crazy. You have to have a big pair of b*lls to even consider attaching a movie to an album. No only is he not a professional actor, but it’s also is final album under “The Weeknd”. Let the man push the boundaries. The fact that so many people want him to make the same music as the mixtapes, be mysterious and everything that made him blow up, is ridiculous. He’s allowed to branch off to other projects. Samra origins is a coffee brand in honor of his mother. And now he wants to go into acting. He completed music, he deserves it.
Nah I get all that and I respect that we disagree. I’m still going in with full ears and mind. No decision made preemptively. Just the rollout is worse than normal. But yeah I need the shit to bang and still hope he proves me wrong!!
@ absolutely I agree the rollout has been polar opposite from what Abel’s standard is for his projects. I’m going into the album with high expectations, as one does with Abel, regardless of the circumstances. Especially being the last hoorah of “The Weeknd”. I look forward to seeing your breakdown vids. I myself will also be reacting to it on my channel. Much love XO
Absolutely agree. I’m HOPING this album is more of a surprise in terms of the track list. I KNOW he is extremely artistic and I’m really hoping for calls backs to the original Trilogy. Especially with him dropping that Rolling Stone MV the other day. I’m trying to keep my expectations low though..
Weeknd gonna make me fail my exams on 31. He will be on loop ( I didnt know he was doing a movie bruh. All I am interested is in his music. I am just too confident tht the album will be great, lets see )
Hey Third! Just a little reminder/opinion I think you should have in mind: if the film isn't being released with the album, it's isn't that necessary, is complementary. Plus in a recent interview Abel said that his voice crack a couple years ago made him remade this final act, so I think this album will actually be a perfect goodbye if the ideias were well executed, which I think they probably were based on what we heard in the São Paulo show. Remember that he's a top artist too, he has to keep songs like Dancing In The Flames in the radios and stuff. He won't desapoint, for sure.
I personally think it’ll be his best sound wise man these snippets have been heavenly and also he doesn’t need to hype it up he’s the biggest artist in the world
Lead singles were not great. But other songs he previewed/performed like The Crowd, Wake me up, take me back to LA, hold your heart, open hearts, etc sound incredible so I am very hopeful still 🤞
Funny cuz everybody was over the moon about DITF after Sao Paulo, than the single dropped and people sh*t on it (mainly cuz of the mix) The music videos for all 3 didnt help either
I genuinely don't care, I'm all here for what could be a new beginning cuz I feel like that's what it's been about the whole time. Just a new beginning.

I've been a The Weeknd fan for about 8 years now. I'm not trying to judge anything ahead of time. I agree with the sentiment that I really hope Hurry Up Tomorrow is something that satisfies us as fans. I'm curious to see what direction he takes his music, especially transitioning into his career after The Weeknd. XOTWOD! Take care Ernest. 😎💕✌🏻
Nah man, you are too right. Crazy to admit, cause I been all in eager feels whenever opportunity to laud the WEEKND have come up. I hate that you're probably a bit more than just right here. I can't name one, and you're not wrong. Hope he's able to pull something more than just a little satisfying out. May he not forget his music!
I think the three singles so far have been purely for commercial success. The rollout has not been great so far, but from the songs he has teased and the fact that this is his last album makes me confident that Abel has something special planned. I don't think Abel is going to end The Weeknd with a whimper, he knows how much is riding on this album. Also, considering the visuals he has repeatedly shown on his social media and all that stuff does not line up with the videos we have seen so far, so that makes me wonder if Abel is planning on going all out AFTER the album is released makes sense. Some people don't understand this, but an album cycle does not just end once the album is released. Abel is going to keep promoting and releasing stuff for this album once it releases.
The singles: 1. Open Hearts 10/10 2. Dancing In The Flames 9/10 (I don't care what anyone says, this song releases a bliss within me everytime I hear it start. I just wish it was more like the live version) 3. Sao Paulo 8/10 Production goes absolutely wicked, just wish it was shorter and maybe a bit more adventurous 4. Timeless 6/10 Boring but Carti did well
I feel the same way, the São Paulo show happened and I forgot about all the songs and life moved on, now it’s months later and the singles haven’t been good imo. I hope the full album is better than what we’ve seen tho. People forget that dawn fm was a huge drop off for the weekend, it didn’t get nearly the same numbers as after hours and I would not be shocked if this one is even smaller and less streamed
Okay so my theory is he posted those singles on purpose. He wants us as an audience to be completely shocked when we hear the album. so wouldn’t it make sense he put out singles that are mid(vocals 10/10 production 5/10) during the rollout so when the album comes out people are like “woah that took a turn”. Idk if that makes sense but yeah he obviously knows something we don’t.
For me, After hours was the most locked in musically and conceptually he’s ever been and is one of my favorites from the 2020s. Also nervous from this project
As a fan/stan… nervous too, I don’t think a lot of people will like the album as much but a lot of people will love it. From what we’ve heard and seen I love the songs and message behind it, we’ll see how it plays out fully later but so far I’m into it.. but it’s just going to be very different from anything he’s done and that’s good and I’m here for it.. people may not like change so may not like this album but I’m here for it
i definitely understand your concerns since its not just the fanbase with high expectations but abel himself also has high expectations with this album. im ver fucking excited to hear the album since i liked the singles (and ngl i kind of feel like im forcing to like the singles to some extent). dont really have much thoughts but i think your criticisms are extremely valid.
You didnt like Dancing in the flames? idk but tht beat and music is so nostalgic for me 🤌 Maybe its like any other song of weeknd for you. It grows on you as you go on listening to it, period
I understand you being negative. Trust me, I've been worried to based on these singles. But I trust him. The three-year wait had to have something mindblowing for us to see. Plus the countdown clips on IG he's been posting sound so different than any other song he's made. I'm scared to say goodbye but I'm hyped for FRIDAY
I think it's quite opposite, After Hours had a major rollout and a big exposition in the media, it was comercial and experimental together. Dawn FM had NO rollout, said by Abel and Lamar, through a printscreen from their chat.. I feel this album having more approach to Dawn, then After Hours.
"where i need it to be" Okay bro, we will let Abel know and hopefully the necessary changes will be made, so that the album fits your personal needs :)
Watched the video to see what was happening with Weeknd but was happier just seeing your pup. Not disappointed in that at all. We’ll see about the album. His star evolved and flew so fast that there were bound to be flops. Helluva career tho.
Abel does his job, and has a planned the story from the beginning with > After hours > Dawn FM, and concludes it with: Hurry Up Tommorow. Not everyone will like the whole story or how it ends. But to criticize in advance the end of the story, while the end did not come out... Personally, I didn’t like the sao paulo single and I would have preferred that dancing in a flame is without apple! It is not for us to say that Abel juggles with too many things in his life, or hastens the end of his work. Of what right, a little respect!
I do kind of have the same feely, but he won't disappoint the fans. Btw you gotta listen to the remixed weeknd songs, specially the syntheave ones ( less than zero, heartless by altare ) . Those tracks have a completely different vibe
The Weeknd is my favorite artist and I am having a lot of mixed feelings leading up the drop on Friday I am not going to rush to judgement and criticize the project before I hear and digest it in it's entirety But I haven't been overly impressed with the singles thus far and although it may be petty I don't like the name of the album/project Also for me Trilogy and After Hours are top tier After Hours era was perfection and if I am completely honest I feel like he's slipped a little after that Still I love The Weeknd and his music means a lot to me He's the only artist I have a Tattoo for /of So I hope that my anxiety is false and this album will be a beautiful/legendary conclusion That it will give all XO those vibes we desire and blow out minds and touch our hearts ..and just be amazing as we know it can be We just have to wait a little longer And let it hit .....
I agree with you. Personally, I didn't enjoy at all his association with Playboi Carti, the lyrical nonsense continued with the Sao Paulo track. His ideas are all over the place and I'm feeling confused about where it goes. I hope the album will make more sense in its full form.
Why did you started posting less on RUclips cuz in my opinion you are the best music reaction creator and some fans can’t fund a petrion so can you start posting more frequently
It’s gonna do well cuz it’s the weekend. That doesn’t mean it will be as quality as his past projects which is what I’m worried about since it’s his last lol
I hate admitting that I have the same feeling. 🫣 I feel nervous too. I'm always excited for anything Abel puts out but it feels different this time. Idk if it's because subconsciously I know this is the end of "The Weeknd," or if I'm reacting off the shift in the music we've heard so far.
Tbh I’ve been having the same feelings I love The Weeknd and Ive been enjoying the trilogy so far but the last 3 singles have been very mid and not on par with the story being told within the after hours and dawn fm music videos idk I’m hoping for the best but my excitement level just isn’t where it should be
I agree with you. I am not excited for this album based on what I’ve heard so far. If it’s a last album, this is not the time to be experimental. Because the techno pop whatever songs he’s doing just aren’t hitting to me.
Yes, I'm not feeling the singles as well, especially the music videos that were the ultimate world builder for the previous albums. I love Timeless and Sao Paolo don't get me wrong but the same thing you said, its not like AH and Dawn FM singles for me. But I believe in him and I have faith that when we hear the whole project that he worked on the longest in the trilogy, will be magical and tbh I'm not nervous at all I'm just ready to eat.
I’m very confused as well with this roll out. His music seems to be second to the film maker in him. He’s trying to tie both together and as a fan I rather them be separate.
Why can’t you guys just wait till the album Comes out The Weeknd never disappoints wait till you give your opinion videos like This when people who aren’t fans watch it they tend to not listen again cause they will be like so the album isn’t even worth the hype stop with the negative shits
I usually disagree with a lot of your takes but i'm 100% with you on this one. Ever since Dawn Fm nothing has got me excited from his camp. And that's weird coming from a day one fan. Some snippets have sounded good but the singles he's released so far have been super mid. Tbh i'm not even worried anymore, i'm straight up going into this album experiense expecting it to be mid. Thats how f'd up he got me.
i have a bad feeling that hut will be bad.......or maybe just my expectation is too high, i hope this album to be a classic, not as good as albums like mbdtf but at list give us project with quality of life of pablo.
Fans gassed up all 3 singles right after Sao Paulo and than sh*t on them once they got released, crappy mixing and all 3 videos bein ass didnt help. The clips from the teasers back in August were FIRE. Im nervous but Abel rarely misses at all when it comes to any of his previous projects
Im still excited for the album but the branding for this album is just miles behind his other ones. Like all of his other albums have a connecting brand that connects with a colour and all like I still think the album is gonna be great but it's just not gonna be the best like aesthetic experience but not every album needs to be that
im right there with you man after reading the variety article, theres one part that sticks with me when abel says "I'm not expecting everybody to love "Hurry Up Tomorrow". SOme people might hate it but thats not why im doing this." reading this part of the article made these feelings that me, you, and other stans sink even deeper. tbh i have felt really scared for this album not sure if it can hold up to being just as good as the other two parts of the triology, i still remember hearing heartless and take my breath as the lead singles and knew i was in for a treat with the album but so far , Danicng in the flames, hasnt given me that feeling at all. Not even talking about Timeless and Sao Paulo. I mean dont get me wrong there great songs but i just dont see how they fit into the trilogy at all, and so far with the teasers songs hes given us which feels like almost 10 at this point im not sure that the rest of the un teased songs can save this album. I personally have almost 0 skips on after hours and dawn fm, so far with HUT im seeing more skips than i like but we'll see i guess.
I think that section of the interview was in regards to the movie if i remember correctly because they were talking about the backlash to the idol and all that stuff
I hope this album lives up to the hype around it. So far it sounds like a ton of filler songs. We need a cohesive work like After Hours and DawnFM. As great as Starboy was, it does not need a remake. Nervous af for this album
I get it....I just like listening to music in general....but I do have my personal favorite artists....anyway this is a little off topic but....a few days ago u said that the last 2 months of music haven't interest you and u really didn't enjoy what was being released.....I agree with u....so I have a suggestion....it's a album that came out in 2020.......PLASTIC HEARTS by Miley Cyrus.. it's 1 of her best....nothing but classic ans hard rock vibes.....I'm 100% u will like it....maybe this can be a new thing....reacting to older music and music u know u enjoy...
I’m going to be 110% honest but After Hours was too good the bar for his music is set so high and his last album was insanely mid I think it’s for the best he steps back from music. I honestly haven’t been feeling his other stuff. Just me personally but like I said After Hours was incredible and I don’t want to say he peaked but he definitely set the bar to a point/standard, it will need to be a solid 4-5 years of planned writing and production to map out something special.
Abel has acknowledged he’s at his peak, and that’s why he’s killing off The Weeknd. He said this in an interview, I forgot which magazine it was. Might have been Variety.
I dont want you to be a stan because it is stupid. I love the weeknd but not all of it. I hate bbtm and starboy, I think they are bland and boring. The idol really put a damper on the weeknd brand. So many artists have done this where they think they can just be an actor all of the sudden. All you said about the fractured attention on all these bussines ventures could affect this album. But I hope not. I do think the teased songs do sound incredible like runaway and regular/hold your heart and tmbtla. Lets hope this is worthy of being the final weeknd project! Will check your review out, the hype channels is just braindead pandering.
I need famous people to stop thinking they can do what will smith did lmao not everyone can act and that’s fine! Those two albums were straight hit albums. I need a wrap up to this crazy storyline. I’m excited still!
I feel like he might be doin to much ngl. I think he wants a big send off but he might… might be over reaching. I do think there’s a reason no track list and it’s a double album. I have faith there’s a clear vision with the music. The other side projects idk it do got me nervous to. Either way this will be that experience we will all remember.
Valid. I'm super excited & am worried too. First if all, I never get the killing off thing. The biggest, most successful thing right now? Yeah, let's kill it off. Huh? Why? For the return later? Also, I tried to follow the storyline of the songs, videos, etc. but is homie a cyborg? An old man? A baby? The phantom of the opera? I can't follow. Just make that music that we love so much, Abel. Abel? The Weeknd? 🤷♀️🤪❌️⭕️
This guy is worried, I have a question, is there any singer who did what the weeknd did ? without being a whore of the media or the record label owners, the work is already done, whether you like it or not, you can be sure that the weeknd will stand behind it, so remove the worry from your heart, appreciate the thought behind the work and the process, Because this sh!t comes from a very real place, and whoever doesn't want to hear it, F you , we good
The worry is that he’s dividing his attention is multiple directions when he didn’t before. I still have hope it’s gonna be fire. It’s just not as good of a rollout so far as the others. Including after hours which was mid pandemic lol
Y'all can hate on me all you want, but I feel completely the opposite. I feel like the album is already getting so much hate and criticism, and it's not even out yet. Like save your final thoughts till the album is out and you've listened to it, front to back. That's how I feel though.

Watched the video to see what was happening with Weeknd but was happier just seeing your pup. Not disappointed in that at all. We’ll see about the album. His star evolved and flew so fast that there were bound to be flops. Helluva career tho.
Just appreciate the art bro, he feeding us 🙏🏽
Abel does his job, and has a planned the story from the beginning with > After hours > Dawn FM, and concludes it with: Hurry Up Tommorow.
I’m not judging preemptively. I’m just basing on what I heard from the singles. Still gonna give the album its due attention and hope!
I do kind of have the same feely, but he won't disappoint the fans.
Btw you gotta listen to the remixed weeknd songs, specially the syntheave ones ( less than zero, heartless by altare ) . Those tracks have a completely different vibe
The Weeknd is my favorite artist and I am having a lot of mixed feelings leading up the drop on Friday
I am not going to rush to judgement and criticize the project before I hear and digest it in it's entirety
But I haven't been overly impressed with the singles thus far and although it may be petty I don't like the name of the album/project
Also for me Trilogy and After Hours are top tier
After Hours era was perfection and if I am completely honest I feel like he's slipped a little after that
Still I love The Weeknd and his music means a lot to me
He's the only artist I have a Tattoo for /of
So I hope that my anxiety is false and this album will be a beautiful/legendary conclusion
That it will give all XO those vibes we desire and blow out minds and touch our hearts ..and just be amazing as we know it can be
We just have to wait a little longer
And let it hit .....
I agree with you. Personally, I didn't enjoy at all his association with Playboi Carti, the lyrical nonsense continued with the Sao Paulo track. His ideas are all over the place and I'm feeling confused about where it goes. I hope the album will make more sense in its full form.
HATTTEEEEE carti so that shit did NOT do it for me lol I still got hope I’m wrong. It’s just not as good of a rollout as before
Why did you started posting less on RUclips cuz in my opinion you are the best music reaction creator and some fans can’t fund a petrion so can you start posting more frequently
Had a copyright strike so had to slow down on music til it fell off. Ironically it was on a weeknd song lol
HUT already has 800 million streams on spotify. It will be sick and it will do well. Let's gooooo.
It’s gonna do well cuz it’s the weekend. That doesn’t mean it will be as quality as his past projects which is what I’m worried about since it’s his last lol
Be calm. Sao Paulo (the song) was horrendous i agree. But the latest teaser! Hyped me up real good! I don't think we will be disappointed.
I think it will be the complete Finish for His legacy and exact how He Planeed it.
Open hearts is the best single that has been released
And it is not even released 😅
Y'all hating
Tbh I’ve been having the same feelings I love The Weeknd and Ive been enjoying the trilogy so far but the last 3 singles have been very mid and not on par with the story being told within the after hours and dawn fm music videos idk I’m hoping for the best but my excitement level just isn’t where it should be
I agree with you. I am not excited for this album based on what I’ve heard so far. If it’s a last album, this is not the time to be experimental. Because the techno pop whatever songs he’s doing just aren’t hitting to me.
I thought Timeless was dope so Im not worried about the music but the complete lack of buildup or hype has me scratching my head.
Hype is amazing everyone is talking about this album even check other artists comment
Abel about to push the release date back seeing this😅
Yes, I'm not feeling the singles as well, especially the music videos that were the ultimate world builder for the previous albums.
Exactly. And I wasn’t really impressed with the idol and that’s all I got to go by
I’m excited regardless not matter what happens
Why can’t you guys just wait till the album
Comes out The Weeknd never disappoints wait till you give your opinion videos like
This when people who aren’t fans watch it they tend to not listen again cause they will be like so the album isn’t even worth the hype stop with the negative shits
Because we have heard a solid chunk of it and the rollout been mid lol still expecting it to go crazy. Bar is not lowered whatsoever
Exactly. I gotta set my bar low it feels like just so it meets it. Hope I’m wrong and the shit bangs tho lol
Also glad you can stay even if we disagree 🤝
i have a bad feeling that hut will be bad.......or maybe just my expectation is too high, i hope this album to be a classic, not as good as albums like mbdtf but at list give us project with quality of life of pablo.
100% been XO since ‘14 live in syd! Nervous as
Bro Directly Or Indirectly Released 13 Songs From The Album.
13 F**KING SONGS!!! The Whole Dawn FM Album Has 16 Songs.
There’s not gonna be shit we haven’t heard lmaooo
@@TheThirdErnest there will be lol. Stop this shit 💀💀
@@TheThirdErnest Or Maybe The Album Will Have 20-25 Songs.
Let’s hope You right!
Get to that king Los freestyle !
Im still excited for the album but the branding for this album is just miles behind his other ones. Like all of his other albums have a connecting brand that connects with a colour and all like I still think the album is gonna be great but it's just not gonna be the best like aesthetic experience but not every album needs to be that
Yessss. Even the name and album artwork threw me for a loop
Just watch a video where you recommended echoes of sillence and that shit fire
Echos of silence might be the best from the OG trilogy. Shit was soooo dark lol
im right there with you man after reading the variety article, theres one part that sticks with me when abel says "I'm not expecting everybody to love "Hurry Up Tomorrow".
Starboy was straight hits and that was cool cuz they were all fire. If this is like that, it’s already failing because shit is sounding blah
Bro just wait for the release !! Ur mind will be blown
Not to mention open hearts should have been. The lead single but idk how that works behind closed doors
I think we already listen half of the album it's disapointing 😢
Wayyy too many teasers smh
Such a strange and empty rollout. Hoping the music speaks for itself
Empty is the perfect way to describe it. Shit feels like it’s kinda just…there.
You're gonna eat your words on Saturday
I sure do hope so! Lmao
I think the whole album is one long track for some reason
Lmaooooo that would be crazyyy. Especially considering his song transitions are insane. Imagine hour 15 min one song lol
I don't care , but abel will prove yall wrong
I’m going to be 110% honest but After Hours was too good the bar for his music is set so high and his last album was insanely mid I think it’s for the best he steps back from music. I honestly haven’t been feeling his other stuff. Just me personally but like I said After Hours was incredible and I don’t want to say he peaked but he definitely set the bar to a point/standard, it will need to be a solid 4-5 years of planned writing and production to map out something special.
to each their own, dawn fm top 3 all projects for me (discovered him through high for this) so everyones got their taste
Abel has acknowledged he’s at his peak, and that’s why he’s killing off The Weeknd. He said this in an interview, I forgot which magazine it was. Might have been Variety.
HOLY FUCK BRO THE WAY YOUR WORD THINGS AND HOW YOU EXPRESS THEM IS A GOD GIVEN GIFT TO YOU. I LOVE YOUR TAKE ON THIS KEEP IT UP
I dont want you to be a stan because it is stupid.
I’m excited still!
let abel do his work.
Glad someone else feels the same way I do. Looking forward to the reaction!
Told my wife this over this past weekend. Feels like a corporate killing of The Weeknd. I have high hopes and I feel like it’s gonna fall short.
Please please react to Mick Jenkins - Wars & Rumors of War
He is good in speaking bullshit 😂
This guy wants to be different so bad it’s cringe af 😂
i hope the reaction
yall fans are not real fans.
The level of uncertainty is what makes us real fans because we know his capabilities. I still hope it’s fire!
Na this is facts. To me, once I heard timeless I'm like, OH NO!.
I still got hope tho! Timeless got that lead single energy but the album needs to be better
Abel? The Weeknd? 🤷♀️🤪❌️⭕️
first
Nice
drake ended the boy
have some shame bruh damn
This guy is worried,
I have a question,
is there any singer who did what the weeknd did ?
without being a whore of the media or the record label owners,
the work is already done,
whether you like it or not,
you can be sure that the weeknd will stand behind it,
so remove the worry from your heart,
appreciate the thought behind the work and the process,
Because this sh!t comes from a very real place,
and whoever doesn't want to hear it, F you ,
we good
The worry is that he’s dividing his attention is multiple directions when he didn’t before. I still have hope it’s gonna be fire. It’s just not as good of a rollout so far as the others. Including after hours which was mid pandemic lol
