- This is vlog 3 in my 2022 KOS, Greece holiday series. I start the vlog off with a tour of our apartment in Alexandra Hotel, Kos. It was marketed to us by Tui as 'self-catering' and although it was a lovely hotel and apartment in all other ways, and it was possible to produce meals in a very resourceful way, I'm not sure how self cateringy this really was - but I show you what facilities we do have.
Later we head out into the streets of Kos town, for some further exploration on foot and I finally find out what was making that noise!

That is one of the tiniest "kitchens" in a hotel room I've ever seen. Imagine.. no toaster or microwave! I love the Ouzo candies. A local Greek restaurant gives them when they pass you the bill. OH my.. those bottles beside the candies. I would have bought several to hand out at home just to watch the "shock" factor.. hahaha Beautiful rock wall. That noisy bug sounds like it's being strangled. So many kitty's around. Nice to see that people put food, water and bedding out for them. Amazing how a city has been built on the ruins of a city.

Yeah I was amazed to discover that not all nations butter the bread for their sandwiches. We imagine butterless sandwiches to be dry and hard to swallow without the extra lubrication from the butter.

The tree of Hippocrates is near the Castle ,and everything that's ancient that's under lock and key is because of the earthquake in kos in 2019.
