What other RV mistakes have you guys made or heard of??
Having 5 kids at 30 years old making us not being able to fit in a truck and tow a 5th wheel 😂😂. Totally kidding! I love my kids. Just now need a 12 passenger chevy 3500 so I can have enough payload.

haha we're gearing up for it!
Biggest mistake was driving I-40 across Arizona this spring. Saw 2 cars with broken axles, several flat tires, and the bouncing broke the door shelves in our refrigerator, along with a couple other shelves. And that was driving 50mph with cars whizzing by. Also, it was colder in Flagstaff than at home (Idaho) and the black tank hose froze. That's not good. LOL. Luckily the tank was only half full so we emptied at the next stop in Nevada. But still.
oh man!! Was the road more bouncy from potholes from snow or what happened? And ya we saw a neighbor once (in New Mexico) using a blow dryer on their septic hose because it froze!!
We really look forward to our full time bus life. Wish we could do it sooner but God has asked me to finish school first😅. We also have a baby on the way this summer. We hope to take off summer of 2024. I feel pretty lucky to have youtube videos like yours to help us prepare for the life change!

This was perfect timing for us! We have been full time international for the last 7 months, but we are heading back to the US to RV for 4-5 months. We are HUGE fans of planning nothing and slow travel. We're super excited to get our RV and are really hoping to connect with fellow travel families.

One dark foggy morning we left our Ohio Turnpike Service Plaza electric only” hookup and headed east towards our home four hours away, traffic was driving below speed limit due to the fog when all of a sudden someone honked their horn as they passed us. Low and behold, I had left our passenger side bedroom slide extended…fortunately no damage was done but I almost blush thinking about it 😯
Haha oh man!! This is a good mistake I’m sure so many have done. Thankful no damage to you or anyone else!!

Biggest mistake is planning too much, we’ve had as much fun Boondocking and improvising during our longer hauls to locations than when we planned out every park.
Right?! Gotta leave time for breathing room and the fun spontaneity
Yeah and that is as much of the fun. Setting up solar on our rig and having a generator as a backup has really helped make that more convenient.

#1 Biggest Mistake was…………. Not getting an RV sooner!!! Have one on order for over a year now. 61…. Should have started all this fun years ago!
