After listening to Good Things Fall Apart a lot of times it makes me think of how I used to want to be someone who I wasn't to make the other people happy. You shouldn't have to apologize for being yourself. People should accept who you really are and if they don't, peace out. Life's too short to waste trying to be someone your not or to impress someone by being someone else. Be you, live your best life because at the end of the day its only you that has your back 100% of the time.

Yes and no... Other people's opinion do matter to some extent because sometimes when they say you're an asshole they're right... But you have a point in that you should strive to be the person YOU want to be, not the person others want you to be. Either way it's going to take work but at least you choose what you're working toward and, as long as your honest with yourself and admit your flaws, you're halfway there

I found this song in 2017 after my first heartbreak when I was 15. I cried listening to it downloaded onto an MP3 player app on my phone, because at the time many of the songs on Sheep's channel were not on spotify. I listened to it while sitting alone at school dances, or wandering around, or sitting in the library or hallway trying to eat lunch as quietly as possible. I listened to it after getting diagnosed with a chronic condition and losing many friends because they thought I was weird or contagious due to the symptoms. I listened to it after I thought I loved somebody for the first time in 2018, and I saw him slowly drift away over 3 years and felt unlovable and unworthy. I listened to it after I sat alone for the first hour of homecoming because none of my friends bothered to tell me they would be late or where they were. I listened to it when I felt alone and cried on the bathroom floor. I listened to it when I ended up not being able to attend college in 2020 and transferred out of what I thought would be my dream career. I listened to it when I felt angry, or depressed, or worthless.
Lately, things have changed. I am almost 20 now and haven't listened to this in a while. I now have an incredible best friend, who truly cares about me and I consider a platonic soulmate, who I feel completely comfortable with. My condition is improving with age, diet and physical work and has become very manageable; although it still flares up when I am sick or tired. I have late nights laughing and enjoying myself with my friends, and I'm in a program that will allow me to travel the world and follow my dreams. I found someone who wants to travel the world with me someday and thinks I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread. I even have a solid freelance gig going on the side doing what I love.
Sometimes life has to break you before it puts you back together the way you were supposed to be. Every time I listened to this, I kept telling myself things would get better, but I didn't really believe it. Something about this song was calming and comforting enough that it gave me a space of quiet when I was feeling those terribly intense emotions, and the loneliness of being a teenager. I took those moments to rest, accept the comfort the song gave me, and show some compassion to myself.
I listened to this again today and while life certainly isn't perfect, it does get better. It ABSOLUTELY does. And by the time it gets better, you will be stronger, and compassionate enough to yourself to accept the happiness in your life. I hope if you feel those emotions too, this song will offer you a bit of quiet. It truly is a masterpiece. I listened to it today, and it still gave me that quiet, but now to be proud of what I made it through :)

This is such a great combination! The artwork behind the music also adds on a whole other layer of meaning and beauty. It's almost like the music is telling a story of what is going on in the picture and you can sort of feel the emotions of the two people in the piece. It's as if the songs are their thought/voices.

The two characters are King Arthur (As a girl for some reason) and Gilgamesh. In the show they are from they died in separate time periods and forced to try and kill each other for convoluted reasons but they do indeed hate each other the whole show so idk why this picture was used but it works out of context.

@@samuelrojas9203 it literally is just stay night i believe. Its the first anime series they made based on the game path where shirou chooses saber and avalon.
@@lyssata6844 Yeah, it's just the normal route, it was the first stay night made into an anime. So like, 2004. Then UBW was done (first as a movie, then because nothing made sense, they did the series) around 2015. And Heavens Feel was 2019 I think. But the normal route is my absolute favorite, because Gilgamesh's introspective and philosophical nature is preserved in that version. The other ones, he's just playfully using sophistry, at best. But Zero Gilgamesh was very philosophical (see the 3 kings drinking scene for one great example). And then in FGO: Babylonia, he was even more of a deeply profound person, so it only made sense for the normal route to be the 'canon' route. In the sense of universal consistency of characters.
Some people complain that he was cruel in Zero, so the UBW one seems fitting enough, but his cruelty was simply because he alone was king in Uruk, there were no other kings. And in the present, a lot of people are calling themselves kings. Plus he doesn't know anyone in Zero, so he has no reason to hold special concern for them. But he eventually comes to an amiable "agree to disagree" with Rider. He agreed to be the "owner", and rider agreed that he was the "thief" type. And their mindsets weren't hypocritical, so it was a difference in perspective, and the two agreed that it was simply that. His eventual admiration for Rider is probably why he spared Waver, when he could've killed him. Waver acknowledged Rider's perspective, and wanted to live to embody it, and Gilgamesh admired Waver's devotion plus Rider's sense of things, so he became amiable to their party when he didn't have to be.
But Berserker, that *zasshu* . There is no admiration for those sorts of people, nor for Assassins who hide in the shadows, afraid to show their face, nor for little girls who dream of ideal kingships where everyone is happy and equal. Basically, no trash, no cowards, and no little princesses. And I'm okay with that.

@@ogsrxni1977 To me it feels like a pain in my chest that wouldn't go away. I couldn't eat, no will to do anything, just wanted to stay down and nothing could bring me up. Nothing could save me and I just wanted to be left alone. After though I reflected and I feel like I'm worth way more than that. I'm too good for her anyways and why was I even upset about it. So glad I made through it. Listening to Zedd and Jasmine Thompson's new song "Funny" gets me in the zone where I am.

I know right? He has a kind of a flow to his music that a few can match... I don't think that there is a single ILLENIUM that I hate. Be it any remixes that he does. All his songs grow up on me. It's just so beautiful.
