I'd go with Pirates simply because it's actually almost a core memory of mine from my first ever trip to Disney as a kid. Too scared to do Haunted Mansion and don't remember if Indy was a thing rofl. Pirates though... So cool and always more details to see. Plus those memories.
My response would be nearly identical. Pirates has been my go to for favorite ride since I could create core memories. It's my favorite attraction strictly because of the nostalgia
I have been working at Disneyland coming up to 15 years and I have learned SOOOO many secrets, history and more from watching your channel! I now have a different look and appreciation for the resort as a whole now. Thank you! :)
why is it not magical like it used to since you all got a new CEO? the bus from airport or whatever now charges, insane pricing on everything now? i am 41 have yet to be there. but wow
i love how chris doesn’t shy away when there is people there. he doesn’t stop talking when people are there. he acts crazy when he sees mickey characters and it’s so perfect
The crystal fact was so cool to me. The crystal shop on main street is my favorite shop in all of Disneyland! I didn’t even know that the one in New Orleans Square existed, let alone that it wasn’t owned by Disney. Thank you so much this was such a unique fact. Love it.
Chris keep these hidden gems coming. Thank you we will down at Disneyland next weekend the 112th thru the 14th. Hope we run into to say Hi. Have seen lots of changes thru the years with my 1st trip at 6 years old in 1965.
You should do a video on Disney world in Florida like this. I really enjoy your videos but I live in Canada and it easier to go to Florida the California. If you have one, please let me know.
Oh my heck!!! It’s Mrs. Provosts son!! I remember you coming into our class. I was in her 4th grade class 1997-1998. Amazing. So fun your videos are great. We love Disneyland in our house.
Pirates for me - quick but beautiful queue, has slow but soulful moments, fast and exciting ones, amazing animatronics, catchy theme song aaaaand a great ride time ☠️. Love me some new secrets, very cool guys!
Salt! Love learning these nuggets of information! My first trip ever to Disneyland (or any theme park for that matter) was on my 40th birthday and I instantly became a Disney fanatic.
Chris, thanks as always. I live vicariously through you brother. I am a theme park lover myself, however life and job make time short! We all had the same goofy move in high school!!
You guys find the BEST things to show us! Loved them all! I actually write a lot of this stuff down so I can see it on our next trip out there. Thank you for putting so much work into this and all your videos. I look forward to each and every one. 🥰 Also, God bless you for your beautiful spirit and kindness. Watching PPP videos always brightens my day, makes me laugh, and gives me great info and entertainment. You guys are a blessing. I hope you know how much you touch the hearts of others! ❤️
Two stories from the ‘70s Disneyland 1) I used to stand and watch them make glass animals and castles at those crystal places - never occurred to me that I was wasting valuable Disneyland time, I was fascinated. 2) I went on Monsantos Inner Space with a friend in about 5th grade, and I joked that we were really shrinking. She FLIPPED OUT and started screaming and they stopped the ride to tell her to quit it. The effect was pretty good, but honestly she was not too smart, I never imagined she would believe me.
When I was 5 years old, my parents inexplicably took me to see "Fantastic Voyage", where I was terrified by people getting shrunk down to a microscopic size, making things like white blood cells a deadly threat to them (this was before movies had ratings). So when I saw the giant microscope at Inner Space and people boarding and getting "shrunk," I pitched a fit-no WAY was I going to let anybody shrink ME!! I'd seen what could happen!!! Fortunately my parents decided we could go to another ride instead and I quickly calmed down ;-)
This was the first "5 things you probably don't know...." video about Disneyland that I didn't know. Thank you Chris, that was fun and interesting! Pirates is the ride I thought of first BTW!!!
Im heading to DL for the first time in two weeks and I have been scouring all over your videos.. I like your style and tidbits and really appreciate the secrets of all the lands. Thank you for providing. Hoping you put out some more before we fly out soon.
I remember going to that penny arcade in the 70s and using pennies to see the little magic flip-book cartoon movie machines. Now I'd be looking for the elongated penny mashing machines (which you did a video about some time ago).
The crystal fact was so fascinating to me and I never knew about that shop in New Orleans Square. I will have to stop by it on my next Disneyland vacation. Thank you for sharing so much more Disneyland history with me! I'm extremely fascinated with Disney history and it continues to be at the top of my list. Now that I have been a PPP viewer ever since the beginning of the pandemic, I see Disneyland more of a historic museum than a typical theme park because there is so much history behind it while incorporating rides and shows with it. I'd choose Indiana Jones to ride over and over again.
SALT! Love picking up new trivia about my Happy Place! I do have to say that while New Orleans Square is beautiful and intricate, I’d have to give the theming award to Main Street, if for nothing more than the history in all those windows. 🥰
SALT! Also I can’t believe Chris didn’t mention the pun there; because it sounds like “great salt” haha Anyway yes, definitely more super secret facts about Disneyland! Loved this! 😊👌🏻💙✨
I DID know the first one. I love these videos. Though I am probably driving my kids up the walls, always talking about Disneyland. But I am really, really excited about going to Disneyland in May with the twins. And allowing their mom and dad to come too.
Given those 3 options, I go with Indy. It’s my favorite non roller coaster of all time, and it even still tops rise of the resistance for me. The atmosphere, the detail, it’s all so good. And then couple with the ride tech and the fact that I’m a huge fan of Indiana Jones and it just seals the deal. Not that I don’t like Pirates or mansion, it’s just that I love Indy THAT MUCH
@@michaelsullivan3581 it doesn't coast at all. It does roll but it's not a roller coaster. It's a dark ride with a hydraulic base to move the chasis that guests ride on.
Salt!😁😁 I love your your channel! I'm gonna see all of your Hidden secrets the next time I go to Disneyland! I'm gonna share with my hubby too! Thanx Chris! 🤩🤩
As soon as you showed the outside of the Cristal d'Orleans shop, I KNEW it was going to be the Walt plate. I took several pictures of it way back during my last Disneyland trip in 2008. --- Haunted Mansion --- Salt
At first I was like “Who is this guy???” And now I’m like obsessed! Thanks for the info bro! I love that you’re making money doing something you love. That’s so dope!!!
Great video Chris! I cant answer the ride question because I’ve never ridden Indiana Jones. We are DVC members and AP holders for WDW and making our first family trip to Disneyland in 6 days. Can i tell you after?!!!! We’ve learned so much about Disneyland from watching your videos and cant wait to get to the parks. Thanks for all the information and being a beacon of positivity!! Salt!
I’m a huge fan of Disneyland secrets/history and I’m familiar with the “no no” word of employee but never did I hear about that one door. That blew my mind!! Thanks for that!! Please keep those secrets coming!!!
My boyfriend and I traveled from Michigan to Disneyland last week and were there on the 25th! And my boyfriend was like so dreaming to see you there. He loves your videos and studied many of them before our trip. Thanks for your content!!!
Salt!!! Love it!! Not actual salt.. this video. Thank you for all the videos. Will be in Disneyland on November 13th!!! So EXCITED! Hope to see you there!
Love it! If I had to choose one ride among the three listed, IF it was the holiday overlay of NBC HM, then Haunted Mansion. If it’s regular HM, then my pick would be Pirates.
We love this Chris, love learning things we did not know about Disneyland. Keep them coming. The ride would be Haunted Mansion, it is the only ride, of the three, that would change during the holidays. So in reality, it would be two different rides
Than you for your videos. We finally went back after almost 10 years but we got to see all these hidden gems and also took mad advantage of our Genie+. THANK YOU!!
Sir, i was able to get the best out of my Disneyland visit with my family (party of 5) because of you! Very well done videos and information. I did see you in Disneyland back on March 9th from afar. You were wearing your monsters inc green and blue jacket. I shouted and you looked up but i couldn't come say hi because i was waiting for the kids to come out of the restroom near frontierland. Will hope to be able to say a heartfelt THANK YOU in person next time. Keep being awesome and producing great work!
Chris YOU are Awesome! 💜 Thanks so much for this great video! 💜 Excellent work, as always! 😁 I have been going to Disneyland for over 35 years, and I did not know about these cool things! This was a very good and informative vlog. I knew all but one (1) item and you had me. I didn't know about the crystal and found that very informative. Also, along those lines the Perfume Shop in New Orleans Square was under contract at one time. Check it out!
Pirates of the Caribbean. That ride is one of my earliest childhood memories. I have never gotten tired of it.
