He wrote " Hindu bhi maje me hai, musalmaan bhi maje me, Insaan pareshan yaha bhi hai waha bhi". He had to face the anger of many blind followers of islam as well when he said that tending to a crying child is greater than offering prayers in masjid: " Ghar se masjid hai bahut door chalo yun kar len, kisi rote hue bachche ko hasaya jaye". He also says in this video: "Jo choti aur daadhi me rahe wo deendari kya": he criticises both equally. For him God did not exist in temples/mosques/gurudwara (he says that "maine jagjit ko kabhi gurudware jate nahi dekha, sirf gaate dekha hai"). For him God existed in " kisi ghar ke bujhte hue choolhe me doondh usko".... Don't divide him into religions. He did not care much about them. :) To the people who feel that he spoke against Dr. Ambedkar: He is actually making him taller than the kings. He actually means that a man from very humble beginnings like Dr. Ambedkar wrote the constitution of India, while a king who was worshipped like a God, had to abdicate. He is actually talking about the power of democracy and that the contribution of Dr. Ambedkar was greater than kings.
If he were alive I would :) Also, its only the radicals and extremists in Islam who are against music and poetry. I would like to point you to google search engines. Find out yourself about music, sufism and poetry in Islamic world. It is not my responsiblity to educate everyone.
