Lol what are you talking about dude? Two entirely different games and two entirely different Guiles. And I daresay SF6 Guile is actually harder to master than SF5 Guile. Anyway, Chris Wong is at the top of his game right now playing Luke, who is arguably (still) one of the strongest characters in the SF6 roster. This is nothing but two legend-level players going at it and one coming out top.
@@TheOGArithon Oh I don't disagree with you. Sf6 Guile is undoubtly harder to master. But imagine if Sf6 didn't have Guile and Higuchi had to switch to say Akuma? It wouldn't be as easy right? Somethings can be carried over. Anyhow it doesn't take anything way from both of these players. Top level match definitely.
@@Fai2012 Since none other than Daigo was maining Guile at the end of SF5, it would have been plain rude of Capcom to drop Guile in SF6. But if that had happened IMO Higuchi would have picked Deejay. He is the closest to Guile in button mechanics, and has both a fireball and a DP-like move. The difference is Deejay is a lot more fun and has a better overall movelist (IMO). (Also he has two level 3s that I have never seen anybody try ever, because both look too damn complicated to attempt, esp in a comp. Maybe one day Daigo will show the world it's possible...???) Anyway, remember how in Season 1 Guile was nowhere in the top 8 or even top 16 in just about every single tournament? The only two players who have consistently gone into comps and more recently even won are NuckleDu and Higuchi. I think that in itself says something.
@@Fai2012 Also, watching this again, I think the end result of this set could have gone either way. Chris Wong barely survived the last round and Higuchi narrowly lost it.
CW 🔥
Higuchi has an advantage playing Guile since Sf5 and learning from the Beast's Guile, he's really hard to beat theae days. Really good job cw here.

No more "Guilevillage", Higuchi?
