In this video, I take a specific look back at the 7 most recent Breeders Cup Classic races going 1-1/4 miles on the dirt and dissect the fractions of the race, the individual 1/4 mile split times, how much the paces in previous BC Classics slowed down, the prior winners, and more. From this information and the past performances, I hope to discern which race horse is aided or hindered by my personal race projection and thus make a wise selection. This information should also be useful when handicapping the other tracks that have previously held the Breeders Cup event by understanding the differences in how fast or slow these races were ran.
I have to say your videos has been the best so far. What books do you recommend? Thanks.
@@iluvuvibez6644 I always recommend “Horse Racing for Dummies” for someone completely new but interested in the sport. It doesn’t go into how to select a viable winner, but will familiarize you with all the terms and basic facets of the sport. That book will also reference and recommend other books regarding the topic you’re reading about in that particular chapter. If you want to get right into handicapping and trying to select winners, I recommend “Picking Winners” by Andrew Beyer or “Expert Handicapping” by Dave Litfin.. there are also lots of good podcasts as well
And your selections are ???????????? You realize this is all a waste of time without a commitment to picks.
@@thaddeustucholski ha at this time I’m leaning towards Fierceness with some interest in Newgate at nice odds. My intention with many of my videos is to speak to the newcomers to the sport that might have marginal interest but are a little unsure or perhaps even intimidated by the handicapping process. I have an entire playlist piecing out each section of the racing form and “how to read the racing form”… there are lots of people giving out picks, so I was hoping to discuss the process and provide tools for people that might be more naive about the sport in general. I appreciate the feedback and comment though. Good luck.
