Hi. When using the @ symbol I do not have any names that pop up for me to select to directly chat with another person in the same livestream. Do I need to be on the desktop version of RUclips to see names pop up after clicking the @ symbol?
My question is I don't see the live chats anymore on the right hand side. When the live is playing I use to be able to comment and see other people's comments up to 1-2 weeks ago. Even if it is a live replay I don't see the comments on the live. Would you know how to fix this?

Used to, you could click either a persons name/image or the dots to the right in the live chat and choose to open a tab with their youtube channel. Then youtube removed that a couple/few years ago. It was really convenient for when someone asked a question or brought up something that it wasn't appropriate or convenient to answer/discuss in the live. Now it's often difficult, if not impossible, to communicate with people outside the chat, which is really unfortunate that they did that. You used to also be able to google a youtube channel and find many of their comments to videos over the years, so you could reply there to them to communicate, but also this has been for the most part removed. So now if you youtube search for that channel and it's image match, you often can't find it and even if you can, if the channel doesn't have an email or a community post or any videos, then unless they commented under the live chat video, you have no way to contact them.
I think all youtube channels used to have a built in inbox as well, what seems a decade plus ago now. It seems more gated to simply send a message these days. Even back then they could block you if you were a nuisance, but now even helpful positive communication or on some social media/marketplaces, lack of means to get help seems the designed order of the day.
I have a blank chat. There's not even an option showing show chat/hide chat at the bottom of the chat. I've been using Safari for years, then 3 days ago I'm encountering this issue. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Then the box was there, in blackish color, all borders there, too: but inside box where the words go: BLANK. I tried rebooting several times, I checked other Live Chats- that were all the same. There is no place to type anything. WHAT HAPPENED? TY
@@Gremscustomlogohistory I personally think I figured it out.. Ok hear me out.. I think what happened to me was during a livestream a trigger happy mod accidentally "hid me". U can block someone, time someone out for 86k seconds, or you can hide user. I think someone during a livestream hid me accidentally or purposely or after the stream was over and someone was watching the live playback, a mod seen my comment and hid me at that time I say that because I asked the creator if I was blocked and he said no. That's all I can think of. I created another account and that creator made me a mod so I couldn't be blocked, hidden, or timed out. Hope this helps 👍

how do I load quickly something I have copied and trying to paste.? I've seen where people paste a huge comment and it comes in separetely the comments, I mean because they don't accomodate the entire answer so it has to go to the next space underneath, and it's done almost like automatically..mean while I have to do it manually....the copy and the pasting which takes way to long...and the comment gets separated by othrs commenting, and this person comments keep coming right on after each other, and there's no way he is doing the manual thing of copying an d pasting....do you kno what I mean....?
@@SusanEggers-iz2jz I believe what you're talking about is just a feature so you will easily notice that someone said something to you. So it stands out from the rest of the chat. Other people won't see it color highlighted on their devices. It's just so you will notice somebody said something to you, and make talking to other people and receiving their communication to you, easier. That's just the default color.
I'm not a creator, but when I want to watch a video that was live prior I can't find the chat replay. I don't see the chat if I'm watching a live video, either. I'm on an Android phone, if that makes a difference. I can see it on the RUclips app, but I prefer the browser version. TIA for your help.

It absolutely stupid how they make it easy to chat on a computer, but stupidly strange to chat on a phone, the only time it worked for be before this video was on accident

You can tag other people in the live stream by typing the "@" symbol before their name.
