Countryside landscape is very beautifull. Stations are very small but clean. Infrastructure is outdated with mechanical signalling system , Rusting rail tracs and old loco and coaches.
great video...the topography,general vegetation and cropping patterns are not very different from india,....even the general behaviour of passengers is also same...stations r quite neat and clean though infrastructure needs huge improvement particularly the semaphore signalling and tracks...regards from ur eastern neighbour

Possibly I can give a better reply---I am in my early 60's---. My dad was a doctor in the Pak railways---. Being priviledged I would ask my dad's office Chaprasi when travelling by train---to tell the locomotive driver I want to ride in the diesel Locomotive---( I wrote this not to brag but to authenticate ). So---we switched over to modern signal / electric signals in the mid 70's and arm signals were removed---. You know it gets very hot in pakistan during summer---the drivers had a complaint---they could not see the electric signal in the heat of the day till they were right on top of the signal---and I am a personal witness to that. We also had electric locomotives from Lahore to Khanewal---. Later on during Musharraf regime when pak economy boomed and every household got multiple eletronic equipment---there was massive shortage of electricity because supply could not keep up with the demand---so electric signals were reverted back to older manual arm signals because if you don't have electricity---electric signal don't work---and also no more electric train either---. The system is about to change as we are getting close to sufficient electricity---. Most younger people would not know that---.
Attock is a very beautiful area. This area looks like England. Green hills, plateau landscape, flowing rivers and flowing springs in the hills are the hallmarks of Attock. The people here are very peaceful and try to stay away from quarrels. Tourists must come to see the beauty of this area.

I'm from Attock city but even then I haven't travel through train on this route just because of it's bad condition.This route is very important and profitable route but the condition of track as well as trains running on this route is extremely poor and disgusting. I've seen the condition of Khushaal Khattak, Jand express and Pakistan passengers running on this route. There is even no lower A. C wagon and condition of economy class is disgusting in these train. I know railways is heading towards betterment but these trains and track need serious efforts and attention. Being a regular viewer of your videos, I request you to made videos on train and track condition too, so that Railways authorities get to know the problems. Thanks a lot
