I have the 6i through SW in these clubs and I love them. I had them customized to be 2 degrees weaker (my 7-iron is 29.5 degrees instead of the standard 27.5, for example). They are solid and I love the look. My only annoyance is when the industry calls them "game improvement" irons, which has always been a nice way to say "high handicapper clubs". I am a 2 handicap and proudly use these clubs. Can't tell you how many low handicappers with their nice "player irons" that I have destroyed over the past 25 years with my array of "game improvement irons".
I love this and couldn't agree more. I recently got fitted for mizuno irons. My fitter was happy to put me into blades but I asked if I could try the "players distance" irons and as soon as I tried them, I loved them so much more. Dropped 8 points on my handicap in just over a year. Take the ego out and take the help
I have these in one length and I love them. Played my second nine holes with them today and was three shots less than my average over the last couple of years. The seven iron is a beast and I get 10 yard gaps between all the clubs. The technology in these appeals to me and it certainly works. I thought I would have difficulty with the short irons all being the same 7 iron length, not a bit of it. The way the clubface seems to grab a ball makes chipping a doddle. There is plenty of check spin on the greens even in this hot dry weather. One really cool trick is to use the 4 rescue as a putter from off the green. It is deadly and at long last I have a rescue club which rescues me out of semi rough. Well pleased. The look at address is very good as there is little offset and you don’t see the medallion. Andy, that wasn’t your plastic owl by any chance??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
My mates got a set of these, or the model before, he hits them like arrows, plays off 9 hcap, so not game improvement. Plus he's 50 odd years old. Although he does think he's in his 20's! 🙈
For me the problem with Cobra irons has always been the back of the irons - plastered with every marketing message that they can get on it, far too "shouty". The Rad irons are, for Cobra, relatively subdued on the back. Personally I have no problem with the funky colours. It may not be to my taste, but it will be for many. The loft is 27.5 degrees for a 7i - so 5000 rpm really is not that bad and with high launch and a 46+ degree descent angle there is plenty of stopping power, at least with a 7i. My concern would be what would the 6i & 5i be like. I am not convinced the 5i would be capable of stopping on a green
Micheal Nolan, how is the gapping in the longer irons? I'm looking at getting what you have. I have a set of the older Cobra F-Max one-lengths in 5-GW and not sure I'm getting enough distance from the 5 iron. I really like the longer length shafts in the shorter (PW-8) irons. Easier on my 70 year old back. Glad they're working for you.
Honest review Andy! Cobra is popular here in NL because of its value for money for mid-high HCP golfers. But despite the raving YT reviews, the performance was rather disappointing in the recent MGS Game Improvement test.....
Andy, I was at Foregolf on Thursday on your recommendation and what a fantastic experience that was! I got fitted by Lewis and I have to say he was terrific, he tried me in all sorts of irons and I ended up with the JPX 921 Pros and the added bonus was the Average golfer 10% discount which saved me nearly £80! It was so good i'm back there again on Tuesday with my brother!
Love Cobra sounds completely different on the course and they look good. The owl moves it’s head a scare other birds but don’t know why that would be needed on a golf course. Glasses are available on all high streets !
Talking about price point I never thought I would see the day when a set of irons would cost a thousand quid or more no wonder you can get a set on finance. As usual Andy another good vlog .
I was gaming these for a few months. They are just too strongly lofted. Very hard to control distances with any consistent manner. I think they would be good for players that have lost a lot of speed as they get older.
Bought these second hand for $600 on a full set that hard 3 irons that had been hit. Ive played one round with them and I can say that I definitely saw an improvement on my missed hit shots. They perform extremely well and to you point look ok. Sound not a factor for me.
Nice review ty,, I was wondering if you could possibly do a video on when and how you move on to a better set of irons or set of clubs for that matter ??? Iam an 18 HC bogey golfer and getting better every year,, that said iam a game improvement iron player or do I move on to cavity back ,muscle back, possibly a player club idk when to make the move !! Maybe you can shed some light on that ,,, thanks as always great job!!!
Brilliant video, absolutely loving the review vids. Your review on the TaylorMade SIM 2 MAXOS played a strong part in me getting them. Hopefully your review on the cobras will help someone if not a lot on getting them.
Well the review was real, just not the Owl. I've played the Cobra Fly Z irons for the last five years and loved them, but father time is involved with my last purchase of 2020 Cleveland Launcher Turbo Hybrid irons that help me get the ball up higher and farther and being much more forgiving. Good video TAG. PS one of your club reviews was instrumental on my choice of new irons, and I really like them.
My partner and I walked up to within 15 ft. of a fox on a local course, taking pictures all along, before realizing it was cardboard . It looked so realistic. The course owner laughed his ass off when we told him. He said it was put out to scare off the geese that were destroying the greens. Fooled us, but not the geese....
We have rubber coyotes at my course AG. I fell for the same thing the first time I saw them! Yes, it is a bit embarrassing. I love your reviews. kevin O'Rourke
Nice review.....how do you feel about graphite shafts in irons vs steel? I presently use graphite A flex shafts but prefer the feel of steel....I am just afraid the extra weight will slow my swing speed down and I will lose distance.
I really like your honesty, you're right, the plastic owl was the best part of the vid !! Ha ha, brilliant. Cobra are not for me, their number 1 player puts me off with his behaviour and they look awful too.
Can’t get past the looks of any of their clubs personally. Looks like my 8 year old has had a go on them in his Art lesson. Not for me. Good review as always Andy
A review with a 7 iron wow, surely you can get your hands on a 4 and pw just to round out the feel and performance, this review is a complete waste of time 👎.

Perfectly said, THANK YOU.
Short and sweet review Andy - I like it. Too many RUclips golf reviews go on and on, this was just the right length.
suspenseful title! Can't wait to watch. I really like how Cobra is pushing the envelope with including so much innovation with their lineup.

outdoor reviews. lovely. far better than indoor testing.

@@bobbrown5951 yeah sometimes the distance can over lap. But I am a high handicapper so it could be my strikes 😂
That owl did you good and proper mate 😂

I play F6 irons now and I love them. So I would give these a go. I’m 73.

This is great to read Andy, glad you got sorted an saved some money!

Found that played well but had problem with one iron warranty not that good so I went back to Ping!
Tried them at my fitting, far too busy from behind.

Love the wildlife section at the end . . . good to see different clubs out there, something for everyone 👍
Nice review Andy. I was 'owling with laughter by the end. Couldn't live with that top line myself but dry ball data impressive.
Andy, come back at night and see if the owl's eyes light up. And I BTW appreciate the concise review. Thinking of these for myself in one length.
Brilliant video, absolutely loving the review vids. Your review on the TaylorMade SIM 2 MAXOS played a strong part in me getting them. Hopefully your review on the cobras will help someone if not a lot on getting them.
Love Cobra drivers.
But to me that carbon in the irons and new putters look as if it's made from LEGO. But I will have a go with the putters.

Great review Andy your channel is really good quality
Owl there to stop the pigeons and birds from landing on the fairway...

One of your members still not received welcome pack ? 🙂
I hated these clubs when I tested them, the noise was horrific and the top line was terrible. The feel was pretty bad as well.
Wilson D9 £549 steel and graphite £649 great value.
Can’t get past the looks of any of their clubs personally. Looks like my 8 year old has had a go on them in his Art lesson. Not for me. Good review as always Andy
🤣🤣🤣🤣the owl.
I love cobra products. Play f7's
That is a 1.48 smash
based on a standard 7 iron, this is 27.5°
Ahh well go with flow cobber.
The pxg irons are too sweet , they ruined the rest
Lol 😂😂I did the same with that owl 🦉 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️it’s a dead ringer for being real
Andy thought the owl was for him delivering his Hogwarts invitation. His dreams were crushed again.
You don't give a hoot do ya Andy.....nor does the owl 😅😅😅
I think I'll keep my f9s
Super rare that cobra win on tour
Sounds like a cartoon slap
Twit twoo 😂
Good review, Andy shame about your twitching skills. Owl be seeing you🦉
Well done Andy your golf is much better than your bird spotting skills
It's extremely unsociable to not look at the camera. It distances yourself from your audience.
A review with a 7 iron wow, surely you can get your hands on a 4 and pw just to round out the feel and performance, this review is a complete waste of time 👎.
