This is pretty great, though the haradrim armors in the movies have a much less practical look to them (lol), the top half is seperate from the bottom half, and the pieces are angular, kind of like distorted pentagons or rhombus, though the mat is pretty good substitute for the wicker material shown in the trilogy. Also I think it needs more spikes, like long pointy ribs coming off the top half, but that would add another material to the list and make the fit significantly more complicated.
Of course this is just a base ! One could ad some other parts, decorations, ornaments, or additional protections... Pieces of wood, leather, bamboo.. Even metal parts, like brass !
Ho, well, I should think about it for another time, but its very close to the way i stitch borders on shields, and there is plenty of my shield video tutorials on the channel !
Depend on what would you call "effective" ? Agains stabbing, no much Cuts, yes it prevent them ! Blund weapon and axes : can't endure a direct blow, but will prevent too much damages if you can parry it too, and at the end of the arm extention of your opponent. This is my estimation so far. this ain't plate or mail ;p

Reminds me of the Rattan armors used in South East Asia
=D and that was a big inspiration indeeeed !!
Looks cool. Attachment points could use a bit of love to function better.
The idea was to stay basic, and as this was a pack of 4 armors for extras, I kept it quite simple ! But anyone can personnalise this base ;)
This is awesome!
Thanks a lot !

Great vid! But the is the armor effective?

Really love the design of it, looks like a linothorax
Do u have a list of other materials u used to make the armor such as the fabric on the inside?
It's just a random Cotton, old sheets that were dyed ;p
you can even spot the yellow spots here and there XD
@@Carancerth What type of leather did u use for the outlining of the armor.

2:28 isn't that 6 pieces not 8? ;) :D
You can see 6, but when you don't have the leather stitched, I can't ad more.
When there is just the mat you can cut 8 ;)
