@@dramaticScar It's such a shame that Moldova with Greek compositor and choreographer was 21st in out televoting, no matter how good or bad the song was. It would be fair if it had been ranked at Greek televoting's top 10!
I maybe would've just counted San Marino's jury vote since they don't have an actual televote that'd be weighed alongside it. If that was the case, Poland would've gotten 12 points.
@@RuiPSGoncalves But in old system votes from San Marino were 100% jury - so if this system would be used in 2021, Poland would got 12 points and EBU wouldn't even try to do "televotes" points from San Marino and that's the whole things. Yeah, now it's calculated but not in old system

Juries rank countries from 1st to 26th place (or 1st to 25th place if they are in the finals themselves). Televoting is also ranked. The two places are counted together. The lower the number (total), the higher the ranking. Televoting prevails in the event of a tie. For example: (first number [jury ranking] + second number [televoting ranking] = total) United Kingdom: (12 points) 1st Iceland 1 [Jury] + 1 [Televoting] = 2 [Total] (10 points) 2nd Bulgaria 4 + 2 = 6 (8 points) 3rd Portugal 2 + 5 = 7 (7 points) 4th Finland 5 + 3 = 8 (6 points) 5th Switzerland 3 + 8 = 11 (5 points) 6th San Marino 7 + 9 = 16 (4 points) 7th Poland 14 + 4 = 18 (3 points) 8th Serbia 6 + 12 = 18 (Poland was 4th in televoting and Serbia 12th -> therefore Poland got 4 points and Serbia 3 points, despite the same total score) ... an so on :)
Yes, absolutely. It already happened in 2016: Australia would have won with the old system. And also this year: While Italy would still have won with the 2009-2012 system, the 2013-2015 system would have made France the winner by only 1 (!) point difference to Italy.

I was about to say
I still don't understand why Moldova was so high in both ranks, juries and televote...
Even worse...
Moldova ranked first in greek televoting... and yet in the final it ranked 21st...
There is a lot of suspicious voting here.

Because Kirkorov clearly corrupted the televote, he already did it back in 2014 and 2019 so no surprises

I was just looking in shock seeing Finland in the non-qualification zone and then I realized that was before any points were given.
Most of the video is Portugal vs. Bulgaria vs. Finland competing for third place while Iceland and Switzerland are competing for first place.

EBU uses the countries from the same pot as San Marino (in the semifinal draw - cause they have similar voting patterns) to calculate a televote

I wonder if there will ever be a difference in the first place in the grand final between the old and new system
There is. Keiino would have won in 2019 if the old system was still used.
