I no longer feel discouraged from hitting the buy now button on my scalesctrains cart, lol. This is an awesome roster! I need to learn how to weather my models too.
Great work Cam! I love the little things like the window gaskets! I do all mine as well. As an engineer i can guarantee you the silver horizontal stripes on the windows are in fact window strip heaters, love it! Great Work!!! Cheers, Wade
At half your roster, 9 locomotives. Only mine is a lot more diverse. 2 SD40-2s, 1 GP30, 1 GP18, 1 GP40-2LW, 1 SD35, 1 Dash 8-40B, 1 SD40T-2, and 1 GP39-2. Currently working on a 20'x2.5' modular switching layout so been prioritizing smaller 4 and 6 axles for my roster. Ones that wouldn't look as weird in a 1920-1960 switching layout as say an SD70 or Dash 9. Hoping to add a SD39 and 2 GP40s soon.
Usually with a layout your size you see people have 100+ locomotives and most of them never get used. You keep a reasonable fleet and seem to use them all. Very well done.
Nice heard. After a hiatus of working on other projects over the last 2 years, this is helping with the motivation to get going with things this winter again.
I would just drop that Digitrax decoder and replace it with a LokPilot (if you do not want sound). Plus you can programme the delayed start up to be in sync with the Loksound Select decoders.
Super ! Really like your layout and the attention given to the details on your locomotives. For my self this is a new interest for me. I do have a few question. How do you get from one level to the order ? How much time do you spend on it ? Some train are very long in therm of numbers what is the count on total length of track? Also would like to now what is the count on number of locomotives and rolling stock? Enjoy watching your train in action.Great work on the camera angle.
Nice roster!! This is definitely an addiction lol and I have it to! I collect mostly CSX locomotives I just got an inter mountain tier 4 and am awaiting an Athearn sd80 Mac 801 in bright future paint😎
All My locomotives are BN/BNSF BNSF SD70ACe (2), BN Locomotives (green) are SD40-2 and GP 40-2. I like the idea of the PTC antennas, where could I find those. I forgot to mention my GE BNSF ES44C4 which I would like to do the PTC antennas. What are those white things on top of the cabs, A/C units? I just got the Great Northern SD45 #401 with Loksound 5 and it has lighted number boards and a beacon on top. Very simular to the well known #400 Hustle Muscle here in Minnesota.
Seeing all of the amazing detail parts you have added, what it your adhesive of choice? I have some sd40s and gp locomotives I would love to add the a/c units to but unsure where to start or what glue to use
How do you speed match sound & non sound dcc locomotives? The sound decoders always have a delayed start, where the non sound decoders move immediately...
Great video and thanks for showing us your Locomotive Roster, some really cool ones there. Do the Consists always stay together or do you mix them up? Like MRL with the CN and so forth? Also, do you plan to get any other Foreign Road power to mix in, like CSX or UP just for fun? Thanks.
Holy cow! that's a lot of BNSF
yeah (i know im 8 months late)

All of those pumpkins, just in time for Halloween. You did an amazing job on all of the details.
Are you using Kadee #118s for couplers on most of your locos or something else?
That thumbnail reminds me of like Star Wars clones
