just to share the banners are to look out for are limited and extreme limited. limited banners happen when the month is nearing its end same with extreme limited but this banner is at the end of the year. also to add you will know its limited when the unit is on grand coin shop, you cant buy the fragment unless you have a copy of the unit. as for transcending units only banner units gets free transcend but here is something that most players may not know of or share within the game. transcending units requires rainbow haro coins we all know that and they are very rare. now how do you get these coins there are ways to get them. 1. if you have a full potential max 5 unit example thunderbolt gundam then you pull on your daily free summon and get thunderbolt gundam again the extra 125 shards will be converted to rainbow coins since thunderbolt is already max potential, this also applies if your summoning in a banner. 2. keep farming the fragment quest of your max potential unit. 1 fragment is 1 rainbow coin if the unit your farming is max you can farm for coins every day. if you have more than 4 units in the fragment quest that are max out then more coins income. 3. attempts from summoning will be converted to rainbow coins make use of the free tickets 4. you can exchange your gold haro coins for rainbow haro coins in the shop. gold haro coins come from max out SR units 5. the last option is your placement in clan battle as final rewards for participating the other one i done recommend is using your grand coins to buy rainbow haro coins you will need alot of grand coins if you do this. by doing this method i manage to get 2823 rainbow haro coins enough to fully transcend 1 unit
From what I can see it looks like the JP version will add free transcendence for a few suits at a time every once in a while, but I'm not 100% sure. Other than that it's only free for current banner suits.
