I can't believe how pop punk is coming back. So nostalgic but so happy
Maggie Lindemann, Mod Sun, jxdn, lilhuddy, etc. MGK and Travis really bring pop punk back into the mainstream. Tho I'd love to see they feature smaller pop punk bands that deserve more recognition

It never left. Real friends, modern baseball, knuckle puck, neck deep, wonder years, hot mulligan, tiny moving parts, etc. but it’s nice to see main stream pop punk.
@@joeybruh916 it left the mainstream audience in late 2000s/early 2010's. We only know those bands because we're already into pop punk and explored the scene. The younger audience who are new in this genre doesn't just know neck deep or knuckle puck out of nowhere. They need an introductor, and MGK is doing pop punk a favor because he has mainstream audience and he brings the sound to them. And Ofc by blending it with his rap sound to make the transition smooth. And seems like the fans are receiving it very well

@@benpointer9227 autotune dosent change your voice tho. it pitches it. he still has this voice. and I promise u all pop punk songs nowadays has autotune. even if u dont hear it all the time. its all about how much u put on and how much it has to correct.
@@spelarnet it corrects the pitch, so a person can talk and it can make it into a in tune pitch. Auto tune can definitely change your voice. I have used it on many tracks to make someone with an average voice sound great

@@davidcole2337 it's not a bad song (thanks to Travis) but too many musicians now a days use auto tune as a crutch. Either learn how to sing or be a true punk and let your vocals out raw. I'm thrilled pop punk is making a comeback but I'm sad people are only doing it for the sake of a trend.
There is definitely a resurgence of this stuff and I for one love it! I'm getting on a bit now, but still have a lot of respect for newer bands/artists that keep this stuff alive! It reminds me of the 90s/ early 2000s back when I was in to skateboarding and jump biking (and a few broken bones). Now I have a family, a bit of extra weight and a beard, but will never forget the nostalgic music from years ago! This is one area where I can say I've grown up for the most part, but will never forget the good old days with tunes like this.
