My Siamese cats do that. One piles her toys on my bed while I'm gone. And the other brings my moms socks, clothes or shoes from downstairs up to my room 😂
Thanks for the shout out Jaquie! (I’m the author of that article) My Service Dog and I watch your videos every day. Pleasant surprise this morning!☺️ Keep up the good work with spreading awareness and educating others 👍🏼
Oh, how neat! I am so happy you reached out. It is the first article I have found that is not overbearing, but hits all the very important points so well!
This is so kind of you Jaquie! Everybody needs a day off, even service dogs! #Servicedogsarenotrobots I hope the pain stops soon as well. You inspire me and my family so much with everything you do. May God bless you and watch over you. ~LpsDaisy, a lonely to-be RUclipsr.
I have three cats herding them is a struggle I think I would prefer the blueberry herding less teeth and claws, I also think it is great that Harlow got a day off XD I am also so glad that the US is recovering from the Hurricane Wishing you well from the United Kingdom.🙏🏽
We were in a Walmart awhile ago my son saw a service dog I went over all I've heard you and Mary have told us an educated us on it was a nice experience a teachable moment. My husband works for a prison and they train dogs he said when I need service dog he'll get one from their now I have a mini pin an dashhound great snuggle puppies the dashhound signals my family when I'm seizures are acting up an both stay close when my heart an blood pressure messed up !
Sitting here trimming one of my dogs feet and nails as i listen about Harlow.Harlow is so beautiful,i know it's hard for people not to interrupt your errands, but being out alot longer can be exhausting
I found your vlog by accident when it was recommended as part of hurricane videos. By coincidence, I've recently been begun dealing with a chronic illness and your vlog has really been helpful. Your realistic, yet positive, attitude towards the challenges chronic illness presents has really helped me with my own attitude. Thank you!
I love how Harlow helps you so much she is your furry little helper and she does deserve a fun day! Glad you are safe love you and your channel !🐶😍 P.S I also have a name for your fans if you are looking for one it is the ChronicallyJaq's ! Love you bye! ❤️
Just went on a Chronically Jaquie spree! With Irma I've been overwhelmed so I just watched all your vlogs i missed and then I saw a new one (this one) was up! Harlow was so cute when she was staring at you when you were talking like "You talking about me? It's not my fault I didn't go!"
I'm so happy for you that pain didn't wake you this am and you slept in. You have been thru soooooo much recently. Not only is Harlow your service dog, she is a beautiful sweetie. So, I can see why people stop to admire her. I have an 80 lb black standard poodle as my service dog. It's the same thing, we get stopped a lot. So I can relate. As always, I loved your video and all the information that you share. Enjoy the day. ❤️
I took my SDiT out for our first public access training without our trainer this weekend. I was so proud of my boy! We still have a LOT to work on, but he loves what he does.
I started to tear up when you said you dropped your phone and Harlow wasn't there to help you. It's not that event per se, rather it exemplified how the attention of a custom disability aid can mean the difference between being independent and being helpless to some degree. I am SO looking forward to figuring out what my CI will allow me to do that will bring in enough $$ to adequately care for a SD. Being separated from one's independence is a difficult thing that gets old quickly.
I feel like Harlow is one of those amazing and helpful dogs that should be in one of W. Bruce Cameron's novels! She is such a good girl! (Like the book Ellie's story)
I got the notification for your video right as I was leaving for a MRI. Now that I'm done I'm watching it in the parking lot of McDonalds haha. I was looking forward to your vlog the entire time!
You could make little business cards with FAQs about Harlow and then have your RUclips channel so people can look you up if they want to know more. Then you can answer like 1 of their questions and then give them a card and be like we've got to get going but if you want to learn more you can go here. It'd also be good if you are having a bad day and can't answer them.
You say blueberries oddly to me, but I love it. I think I'm going to start saying blueberries similarly to the way you do now. 😂 I did the same thing with the way you say vitamins 🙈 there's so many things you say that I think are so cool and unique.
I loved it when you nicknamed your mum your 'service human' 😂 You clearly love Harlow so much :) I have autism and enduring mental health issues and I'm currently building a hutch to get some rabbits :) Furry friends can be supportive in so many ways x
Chronically Jaquie Thanks for replying, that's great to know! I haven't actually owned rabbits before, but I'm looking forward to having pets again :) Unfortunately I can't have a service dog due to housing constraints, but there is plenty of room in my garden for a couple of rabbits x
Thats so lovely! I had pet rabbits before when i was young ♡ i miss them they were really sweet (and um unlike cats hahaha you dont have to know how to pet them LOL)
Love, love, love your videos, Jaquie! As someone with a disability and a service dog, I really appreciate someone who shares many of my experiences. I too, find trips out are sometimes very long because everybody wants to talk about my dog. I feel I need to respond to one of your statements in this video, however. I, too have seen service dogs that look droopy. I partially disagree with your statement that they are just focused. You are partially right. Service dogs ARE very focused. However, I have seen firsthand that many organizations that train these dogs that their approach to training is: "You will do this until you get it right.". They often turn the dogs into "robots" that respond to the commands by rote, not necessarily because they enjoy their work. Please do not misunderstand, however. There are many wonderful service dog organizations that do not take this approach! There are many loving trainers out there who turn the training into a game: "Let's play a game and see how long it takes you to figure out what the object of the game is!". I was fortunate to get my service dog. Hailey from one such trainer. Again, please do not misunderstand. I, like you, want to educate others by providing another point of view.
Hello Jaquie, good choice giving Harlow a day of! I live in the Netherlands and have been following your vlogs for quite some time now. It's really helpfull seeing how you and your family gets through all of this, compliments!
I have a service cat for my anxiety. She calms me down before I go into a panic attack. She's amazing, she's 8 years old. I've had her every sense she was a baby.
Jaquie, I so agree about our service dog, I love having Molly around all the time she does so much for me and I feel weird no having her around. Yet I know that there are times that I have to think of Molly's well being first and leave her at home when its not a good idea to take her with me. You are also right on, having a service dog is not for everyone, you really have to think hard before you commit to one.
The refrigerated items probably went bad during the power outage. That's happened here where everything in our food lion had to throw almost everything perishable out.
Harlow looks so happy all the time, it shows that she is a well loved dog! I have a question: when it's her day off, you just don't bring her in public or even at home you don't make her do the tasks she usually do like bringing you things? Like, it's just the be in public that may stress her or other things too?
It's more so just letting her stay at home. Being in public she needs to be in "work mode," staying composed through many distractions, scents, sounds, etc. So I give her a break from that. At home she can be her goofy self and likes to help me and do her tasks, so I would not take that away from her completely. She enjoys her work but everyone needs a break now and then :)
Just want to say I like your videos.I started following you yesterday, when I saw a recommended video. Harlow, is a sweet girl. I have a Cocker Spaniel, name Tucker. Golden Retrievers are my second favorite dog.
You are such an encouragement to me! :) I appreciate your faith, Educational information, and positive spirit!😃❤️I am disabled with cerebral palsy, Gastroparesis, And a couple other conditions. It's nice to relate and share ideas!😇thank you so very much!
There probably is for dogs, not SDs in specific. But in all honesty I do not trust anyone enough to leave Har with except a few close family and friends. Plus I do not know the other dogs there... What are their temperaments? She did daycare when she was 6mo old because my dad and I went to Canada, but I would not do something like that unless I had to.
Chronically Jaquie who clips her nails? I've never seen Judd do it on camera (just wondered because I clip my dogs nails instead of leaving her with a groomer).
I totally understand that you would like to have Harlow safe. That is why I thought about Sevice Dogs spa only. Usually they are well behaved and , in theory, all understand about playing nice 😉. I really hope you guys can relax together and enjoy with Judd some time at home.
I'm a new subscriber & I already love y'all. I so look forward to your uploads. Your attitude despite your challenges is refreshing & your little family is a bright spot in my day. Judd seems like a sweet guy. I love the dynamic the 3 of you have. I'm currently in school to become a dog obedience trainer & I hope to open my own rescue. Anyway, have a great day & I hope harlow enjoyed her rest day.
I have those same shorts Jac. I think I mentioned that once b4 but I forget (I have ADHD predominantly inattentive type with mild Dementia)...anyways, mine are too big. I've lost 43 pounds from this time last year & now don't fit. I keep saying I'm going to take them to a seamstress & have them refit but...I forget. LOL. Gotta laugh or I'll cry. Did you know it's (09/19/17) #nationalcheeseburgerday & #piratesday? :) At least you didn't drop a gallon of milk & have it burst open. I was so embarrassed. Milk flew for 2 isles! The pattern of your floor rug is the same (and same color!) as your new warrior blanket.
Hi Jacque , so glad the pain didn't wake u up from sleep today that's always a good thing ..lol. Hippo is so funny and so sweet she brings u the stuff u need by piling it at the door for when u get home. Also where did u get the heating pad u were talking about? I'm looking for a new good one. The house looks nice 😎
I love that you wanted to match leggings with your mom 😊. My mom & I have several matching shirts that we sometimes plan to wear when we are out together. It's fun and a special way to share a bond.
Jaquie girl you are sooo patient how do you do it. My ass would have been yelling at the radiologist. You better at least make sure they give you a refund and not take your money away for staying needless hours at the hospital
I do my best to practice patience and grace, I just do not want to waste energy over being angry. Anger would not have fixed it and it is not an emotion I like to feel. Plus, they made sure to file a report and learn from the issue. (:
Hey can you make more instructional videos with Harlow on days you feel good please. I am also glad that you are safe and your home wasn't damaged from the hurricane.
I am not focusing on training videos because RUclips already has so many (check out Training Positive). Instead I am focusing on videos that can benefit warriors or SD handlers, like "All About My Feeding Tube," or "Taking your SD to Disney." I feel there is more of a need for these kinds of videos. I hope you can understand (:
Hi Jaquie my name is Shea and I have some of the same illnesses as you do. I would love to meet you and Harlow someday. Unfortunately I live in Michigan and I have a lot to deal with. My mom is thinking of getting a service dog for me but my dad is not really on board yet because we already have a dog and a cat and he doesn’t want any more animals lol. I’ve been struggling with a lot of depression lately but when I watch you and your silly little pup it makes me feel so much better. Keep doing what you’re doing we could always use some more awareness.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Maybe when Harlow was putting things in front of the door, she was getting things that she thought you needed because you would typically ask for them. ex; remote, blanket, etc.
LOL!! A couple of weeks ago I had to use an electric cart in Kroger and I hit a weird place in the floor and my bag of cherries ripped open and went everywhere! They kept rolling all over the place and I couldn't move forwards or backwards because I would run over the cherries and it would look like a bloody crime scene. So glad this happened to someone else, too!
Made the decision to leave my service animal at home tonight and of course I got the questions where is my service animal. But the place we went to wasn't safe for him
It's Lookin very good. Your shirt matches the pillows and the table runner. So cute💕😄. Have a wonderful day off Harlow the sweet Pup pup🐾🐾🐕. Momma is awesome😄💞. Yummy😜😄. I went and got some leggings at Wal-Mart😄🐱📚🍪🍳🐈. I am happy Jubb is ok and all in your family🇺🇸🐾🙏🙏🐈🐕🐾🐾💖💞 I love y'all. HUGS. Prayers🙏🙏💪💪🐾🐾💗💞💖💕🇺🇸
I feel really bad because I haven't been able to watch any of your recent vlogs due to the hurricane. ): it's been too stressful to me watching you go through it while I'm still waiting to get power back and cleaning up, I got hit while it was worse in Naples.
HayJaquie:) first I would just like to say, God forbid I would go out on my own and bring home something to decorate the house. I've done that a couple times and I wouldn't say anything to Julie but it always ends up somewhere in the basement? I want a puppy just like Harlow. big fan. I'm guessing she's thinking, mom and dad are pretty good humans. Jacquie you're a good girl love your journey!
My dog Louie isn't a service dog but when my asthma plays up from one of my unknown triggers he will alert me to use my inhaler and wont leave me until I am no longer struggling to breathe. And no my cat isn't one of my triggers. My cat does the same thing.
It's so interesting to me that cukes are one of your safe foods because they always give me heartburn... lol. Digestion is weird yo. Everybody's different!
One day when u leave Harlow home alone u should place cameras around ur house to see what she does while she's alone!!
Maybe Harlow thought it would make you come home faster if she put all the things you need by the door! That's so sweet!

I totally know what she means about herding cats! I have to chase my cat outside all the time. It's crazy!
The living room is coming together so nicely! I love teal/turquoise, so it makes me happy. :D
I have three cats herding them is a struggle I think I would prefer the blueberry herding less teeth and claws, I also think it is great that Harlow got a day off XD I am also so glad that the US is recovering from the Hurricane Wishing you well from the United Kingdom.🙏🏽
Sounds like Harlow just had everything at the ready for y'all when you get home from the hospital :-)
Good doggy
You should do a nanny cam day to see what harrlow does!!!
I love prison pups, I have heard amazing stories!
Sitting here trimming one of my dogs feet and nails as i listen about Harlow.Harlow is so beautiful,i know it's hard for people not to interrupt your errands, but being out alot longer can be exhausting
Yes it really can be, that is why I plan ahead and go out expecting to be stopped lol. Makes things easier.
I think Harlow doesn't see it as a job, she's just a loving and intuitive amazing creature, who receives tons of love from her family☺️💞
Strange but at 2:03 that big chair maybe put a light tan blanket! Love the set up so for though!
I love how you say blue berries. Here in Idaho, we say blue BEARies (like the animal bear)
We know harlow is happy😇
I found your vlog by accident when it was recommended as part of hurricane videos. By coincidence, I've recently been begun dealing with a chronic illness and your vlog has really been helpful. I totally get what you mean, I was overwhlemed with Irma too! So glad it is over and now we can all work on recovery.

Yes, I do not fault people for it but is certainly gets tiring! It was interesting to go out without her and see how different it was.
Harlow is just so cute, and it looks like you and your mom had a great time together
I took my SDiT out for our first public access training without our trainer this weekend. I was so proud of my boy! We still have a LOT to work on, but he loves what he does.
I love the phrase "furry shadow". Gave me a good laugh this morning.

I got the notification for your video right as I was leaving for a MRI. Now that I'm done I'm watching it in the parking lot of McDonalds haha. I was looking forward to your vlog the entire time!
Awe this made me smile haha thank you!
Yay, I'm happy I made you smile :)
Thank you for being so amazing!

Leigh B That's an excellent idea!
I had those when she was in training but could make new ones for sure! :)

Lol people have told me that but it is just the way I was raised saying it because my dad says it that way
You are very inspirational i want to go forward and help people because of you so i wanted to say thank you
"Furry helper" 🐕💕💕
Rachael H ij
If Harlow didn't belong to you, I would steal her for myself ❤🐶
I loved it when you nicknamed your mum your 'service human' 😂 You clearly love Harlow so much :) I have autism and enduring mental health issues and I'm currently building a hutch to get some rabbits :) Furry friends can be supportive in so many ways x
I took care of the rabbit we had in agriculture back in high school, they are really sweet!
Chronically Jaquie Thanks for replying, that's great to know! I haven't actually owned rabbits before, but I'm looking forward to having pets again :) Unfortunately I can't have a service dog due to housing constraints, but there is plenty of room in my garden for a couple of rabbits x

Awww Service Dog's day off... That food looks so good!
So happy you guys are okay and getting back to regular life after the hurricane! Love you and Harlow!

I always love waking up every morning and getting my cup of tea and sitting down to watch you daily videos!
The refrigerated items probably went bad during the power outage. That's happened here where everything in our food lion had to throw almost everything perishable out.
Awww those are all things she's used to bringing you, she wanted to take care of you!
something else... I am really happy that you and your family are ok. I thought about you this days when I heard in the radio about it. :)
Service human, that made me giggle
Thank goodness, some people were offended by it lol. It is just a silly play on words that we find rather funny! :)
Harlow is adoreable
I love your Mom so much. And it was so funny when you were both talking about "brooming" the blueberries. You two are adorable.
Harlow looks so happy all the time, it shows that she is a well loved dog!
I have a question: when it's her day off, you just don't bring her in public or even at home you don't make her do the tasks she usually do like bringing you things? Like, it's just the be in public that may stress her or other things too?

Harlow is beautiful and smart like Jaquie. A perfect match.
The little brunch place looks so cute!! And the food looked delicious!
If you had Harlow she would have helped clean up the blueberries. 😁 Hopefully Judd will be home soon. Sending prayers.
Ha! You are so right!
It would be fun to see a time lapse of Harlow home alone. Gopro on the pup!
I love your videos and Harlow is GORGEOUS and I'm glad your one of the people who understands that service dogs need days off :)
I can relate to not having decorated after a long time living in a house... 6 years in my case 😅
I have that same ironing board! Its really handy for me because I can set it on the table and use it while sitting in my wheelchair :)
Service Dog Labor Day! Happy Day Harlow!!💖
Hugs Jaquie!
Your living room is looking so nice!
Jaquie, is there any service like spa-day for service dogs? I am sure Harlow will enjoy a day off with walks and pools 😉😎
There probably is for dogs, not SDs in specific. But in all honesty I do not trust anyone enough to leave Har with except a few close family and friends. Plus I do not know the other dogs there... I do her nails, I just do not film it because I need all my hands and it hurts my joints. Not the best mind set to film lol. I dremmel them.
Good Morning to you and Harlow 🐶 How is Judd doing and your Dad? Love and hugs to you and family ❤🌴
Good (:
I'm a new subscriber & I already love y'all. I so look forward to your uploads. Your attitude despite your challenges is refreshing & your little family is a bright spot in my day. Your house looks so homey!

My pit /bird dog loves to work or be with me and going and doing something
XD it's true, my service dog gets sad when she isn't working.
I love that you wanted to match leggings with your mom 😊. My mom & I have several matching shirts that we sometimes plan to wear when we are out together. It's fun and a special way to share a bond.

Yes ma'-am!! I am learning from ya. How patient you are geez that's incredible.
Love you guys, you are such an inspiration! Glad your feeling well :)
LOVE UR VIDS
Hey can you make more instructional videos with Harlow on days you feel good please. I am also glad that you are safe and your home wasn't damaged from the hurricane.

Jaquie, you should go search "cat herders" on youtube! It's an actual commercial that always makes me laugh :)

The more rest she has is more energy she has to help you
I think hippo rather be with you helping. I think she missed you a lot.
She probably missed me a bit but a break is good every now and then (: She would choose to work but that is why I have to make choices on her behalf.
Have you the show called Rescue Dog to Super Dog it start August 12 and they find service for people and it is a show to watch..
I love all of your videos and Harlow is so cute and funny
I'm sure the cashiers see way worse messes than blueberries on the floor. The verb for using a broom is "sweep."
I'm glad you got some sleep!
Made the decision to leave my service animal at home tonight and of course I got the questions where is my service animal. But the place we went to wasn't safe for him
Love you Harlow xx
I love the way you say blueberries
I feel really bad because I haven't been able to watch any of your recent vlogs due to the hurricane. ): it's been too stressful to me watching you go through it while I'm still waiting to get power back and cleaning up, I got hit while it was worse in Naples.
Don't feel bad! I totally understand, it has been very stressful especially for those impacted harshly. Do what you need to do!
So cute dog 🐶
lol I got those same cookies yesterday that your mom got
Are they good? She won't let me have any lol
They're great, but I can't stop eating them lol
Look up "Cowboys Herding Cats" on RUclips. It is a very funny "commercial"!
Thank you for sharing your Experience
HayJaquie:) first I would just like to say, God forbid I would go out on my own and bring home something to decorate the house. I've done that a couple times and I wouldn't say anything to Julie but it always ends up somewhere in the basement? I want a puppy just like Harlow. big fan. I'm guessing she's thinking, mom and dad are pretty good humans. Jacquie you're a good girl love your journey!
Lol no worries because Judd is not great at decor either, he is letting me do it all :P
YAY
My dog Louie isn't a service dog but when my asthma plays up from one of my unknown triggers he will alert me to use my inhaler and wont leave me until I am no longer struggling to breathe. And no my cat isn't one of my triggers. My cat does the same thing.
The next time you give Harlow a day off you should set up a camera and see what she does when she's home alone🐶🐶🐶
You’re so positive even if you have so chronic pain🌞😎🤩🤩🤩
🍁🌿🍂🎄💐🥫🚴🏽♀️🎢🏟🔧🔮🛍🛒
It's always interesting how you pronounce things differently. Blue-breez. 😊
Harlow is really cute
Can someone please tell me where you got Harlow's toy bin? Glad your life is getting back together.
I think Home Goods but watch my gear video to be sure
It's so interesting to me that cukes are one of your safe foods because they always give me heartburn... lol. Digestion is weird yo. Everybody's different!
