People who play platform fighters only ever want Smash and nothing else, so it's either be Smash or die because you're not Smash. This is why I'll always be mad about Playstation All Stars Battle Royale. Game got nothing but hate because it was "just a Smash clone", but then it came out and everyone said the game was trash because it doesn't play like Smash. No one was willing to take it on its own terms.
I honestly forgot about PS all star battle, this was a good point. I think with that game it goes deeper than it wasn’t “smash”, im pretty sure people complained bc it just wasn’t good lol
@@aostoon Some people certainly didn't like the design, but a lot of those people were unwilling to give the game a chance to begin with. People complain about supers being the only KO method, but when you start getting into higher level play people weren't just throwing them out randomly and hoping they hit, you would combo into them to get confirmed kills. It certainly wasn't a perfect game, but it was also much better than people ever gave it credit for because they never tried to see the actual game rather than the bad imitation of Smash they thought it was.
the presentation for this wasn't too bad! Love this topic!
glad you liked this one !!
