- A song from Virginia Wigmore. She participated in ''International Songwriting Competition'' in 2004, and she won with a song called ''Hallelujah''. This is the song from 2003, and I think this version is the best!
Amazing can listen so many times. 😊
One of the greatest and saddest and realest songs ever! RIP to all our fathers who have died!
Take your last step towards heaven and its glow
Take your last breath of sunlight, don't let it go
Take your last look to remember, so that you know
I wont let you fade from no mind
I wont let you fade from no minds
I wont let you fade from no minds
Hallelujah for these eyes to see your painted life
Hallelujah for the touch of skin to skin with mine
Hallelujah for this mind that keeps our souls combined
Hallelujah for this life that let me be your child
Have your mind, have your strength to stay alive Keep your eyes open with mine
You followed the road for the angels and you left me behind
A face without words can last a lifetime but it's never the same
So, don't say goodbyes that last forever just for a while
Because I'll be by to see you some day soon
Hallelujah for these eyes to see your painted life
Hallelujah for the touch now of skin to skin with mine
Hallelujah for this mind that keeps our souls combined
Hallelujah for this life that let me be your child
Hallelujah, to be a part of your life
To see inside of all your smiles
You're a traffic light of fire
You're a man who I believe will never die
Such heart touching lyrics, omg, 'chills'.
I jut came home to find out a dear friend is full of Cancer and has mere days to live, I opened face book and this was the first thing I saw, kind of eerie but I keep listening as I process, THANKS GIN

I still keep coming back to listen to this.
And again, and still hours me just as hard
Wow...this just blows me away...Gin must have really have loved her father so very much, to be able put these type of emotions into lyrics & music at the tender age of 16. Also a huge human acomplishment
A fantastic new talent has arrived. Welcome Gin!
I cry everytime I listen this amazing song.
She is fabulous. Would love to see her live. This is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. The melody is simple but her unique delivery combined with the moving lyrics makes for a very emotive and truly memorable piece of music. I am undecided whether this version or the other more recent version of the song is preferable.
This song helped me heal from my mother's death back in 2004. Rest in Peace Edwina Rae! #TilWeMeetAgain
Maybe one of the greatest love songs of our time, a daughters parting words to her much beloved dad. I certainly feel totally moved & touched by its intensity...
Captivating voice,,,,I love her passion,,you can feel it in Canada. Well done.
i am so so so so glad to have stumbled onto ur music what a musician what a voice I am telling EVERYONE I know east to west coast and beyond WOW WOW WOW thank you Gin : ) I will def be a fan for ever
You're right -- excellent version. The lyrics are mumbled on others and words are, after all, what this song is about. Very emotionally powerful.
Agreed. Gin has that voice that's given her the opportunity to let out what most of us grieve in our souls and hearts. I'm sure singing this about her father is a type of therapy and always close to her and in her heart! This young lady has some amazing talent, very raw!
Mike this is not Leonard Cohens song, this is hers, this is the original version

Sweet nice song.
A unique and special voice.
lovely song
I've first heard of Gin on Grooveshark and she just turned my brains around. I'm a big fan and her voice literaly gets to my spin. Hope she keep up the good work
WOW... I knew, about Gin's father... I may suppose this is for him... and makes me cry... she is high sensitive!
Hello!
I downloaded the song from the "International songwriting competition" Web- site in 2004. The songs where legaly downloaded from there. All the songs in the competition were there. I know I don't have any legal right to put these songs on "RUclips", but I hope I'm forgiven
A song about losing her Dad. So much love... wow!!
It's very beautiful song! The best from Norway too :-)
This version sounds more polished. But I like the ones with the lyrics. The words are so important.
It sounds like you had that all consuming love. Where there is no existince that will even resemble the dream you were just in. Best of luck to you. And I hope you find a love like that again in life
Rikki Morris. For those who don't know. A Kiwi music legend

Good Bye Lori. I loved you completely and whole heartily. I will never be the person I was when you were here. I will never feel that love again. I will never breathe again. I was everything with you and am nothing without you. I cannot go on and refuse to try anymore. Open those doors and wait for me there, I am coming to you now. I will hold you again soon.
I couldn't find that. I would be more than willing to buy this version but can't seem to find it anywheer. I bougth the Amazon instance which was good but I really prefe rthis one.

She has no any tattoo ? interesting.
This song is nice and all, but I was hoping for a cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah."
Absolutely NOT the best version, IMO.
Thomas Mosley are you drunk?
This is the worst version.
peyton ice You need to seek professional help for your obvious hearing problems.
Some people can’t help but being cunts, sad but true. This is beautiful
Howdy, I recorded this version at my old studio The Bus back in 2003...I'm intrigued to know where you got this from! It's the 'pre-edited' version which is VERY rare! I'm not sure I even have a copy!
Peace
Rikki Morris
Wow, I didn't realise you could download from the ISC site...coooool! I was just interested to know how you found it!! I'm totally fine with you uploading to youtube, it's a great song isn't it? Still makes me cry! Gin is a massive talent, on the brink of superstardom in my opinion...all the best from Nw Zealand!!
